GOP Vice Presidential nominee promised Sean Hannity today that the Romney-Ryan Campaign with end Obama’s $716 billion raid on Medicare.
Ouch. That’s gotta hurt.

PAUL RYAN:

“We’re eager to have this debate. We’re going to have this debate and we’re going to win this debate. And the reason you’re hearing these kinds of things is because the President knows that he is so vulnerable on this issue. It’s the President who took $716 billion from the Medicare program to spend on Obamacare. That’s cuts to current seniors that will lead to less services for current seniors. We don’t do that. We actually say end the raid and restore that, so that those seniors today get the benefits that they organized their lives around.”

    Ryan’s right..oBama has taken the funding for oBamacare from Medicare all but ensuring the end of the program. The funds that were robbed from Medicare are listed here:

    A $260 billion payment cut for hospital services.
    A $39 billion payment cut for skilled nursing services.
    A $17 billion payment cut for hospice services.
    A $66 billion payment cut for home health services.
    A $33 billion payment cut for all other services.
    A $156 billion cut in payment rates in Medicare Advantage (MA); $156 billion is before considering interactions with other provisions. The House Ways and Means Committee was able to include interactions with other provisions, estimating the cuts to MA to be even higher, coming in at $308 billion.
    $56 billion in cuts for disproportionate share hospital (DSH) payments.* DSH payments go to hospitals that serve a large number of low-income patients.
    $114 billion in other provisions pertaining to Medicare, Medicaid, and CHIP* (does not include coverage-related provisions).

    *Subtract $25 billion total between DSH payments and other provisions for spending that was cut from Medicaid and CHIP.

    In total, Obamacare raids Medicare by $716 billion from 2013 to 2022. Despite Medicare facing a 75-year unfunded obligation of $37 trillion, Obamacare uses the savings from the cuts to pay for other provisions in Obamacare, not to help shore up Medicare’s finances.

    ‘With a raid on Medicare of this magnitude, President Obama’s assertion that his new law is protecting seniors and Medicare is astonishing. The truth is that Obamacare does the opposite.’

    The thing that everyone really needs to keep in mind about these cuts: seniors do NOT have a choice in their insurance. They must pay whatever fees Medicare demands for whatever service is offered if they want to collect their Social Security, the Social Security they have paid for all of their lives. And for most of them, private retirement accounts were specifically disallowed. There were no IRAs or 401K’s.

    What that 700 billion cut means …Seniors don’t get funding for that final end of life care…You get a red happy sleep pill instead of life support…….and the 700 billion goes to paying million dollar salary / benefit compensations to government death panellers in swank DC office buildings who focus on sexual diseases of the young….handing out free condoms and abortions …trying to solve the problem of population growth by lowering life expectancies and birth rates.

    Obamacare however does not care about you at all – that’s why he stole 700+ billion from Medicare in a bill no one in Congress even admits they read…..
