This Romney / Ryan ticket is the last hope (true hope, as in what we have in Christ Jesus, not that worldly mumbojumbo peddled by obama) for a free and prospering America. I am all in, 100% behind and in support of this ticket and very excited about the prospect of America once again being united, strong and exceptional for all. Paul Ryan and Mitt Romney will HARDLY “destroy Medicare.” In all honesty, as someone who was an adult at the time of the advent of Medicare and a medical professional who has kept an eye on it for various family members all these years, a little “destruction” wouldn’t hurt Medicare in the least. It has changed from an opt-in insurance plan at minimal cost that covered only hospitalization to a gargantuan ponzi scheme that one must go along with in order to collect your Social Security.

I have watched every year for decades now as Congress has voted a teeny cost of living increase for our seniors, then three weeks later taken every single penny of that COLA – and often a bit more – in the way of an increase in the cost of Medicare. Seniors on the lower end of the Social Security payment schedule can easily pay out half of their income for Medicare – and it ISN’T optional.

Worse, the reimbursement for medical practitioners and facilities is SO low and so SLOW that many simply do not accept Medicare. It can be almost impossible to find a physician that will accept Medicare in some parts of the country – and every day more and more doctors opt out. Too often it is that or go bankrupt waiting for payments that don’t cover the cost of services rendered.

Medicare needs no help at all to destroy itself. It is on its last legs and will be bankrupt long before nearly anyone currently paying in to the system gets to collect.

You can only put so many bandaids on something.

This was so obviously going to happen that it just begs the question–why even bother documenting it? Hey, Ryan may energize the base and get the vote out in November, but let’s get real…Ryan is the absolute dream candidate for team Barry. Absolute dream candidate.

Is Romney seriously going to start talking about social security reform and medicare reform on the campaign trail? Is he absolutely INSANE!?!??! He’s dreaming if he thinks he’s going to get any kind of debate on ideas going.

The most Obama is going to do is brush it off with some statement about “of course we need to reform Social Security, and my administration is committed to doing that in my second term.”

And that’s IT when it comes to Barry opening himself up. Then, it’s a full throttle attack on how Romney/Ryan are planning on gutting medicare, pushing the retirement age years out, reducing payouts, and recklessly privatizing social security.

NON STOP.

And you better believe that message will be picked up by the media with absolute over the top enthusiasm. And, you can bet your ass that the average slob barely paying attention is going to hear just enough of the relentless message to come to the conclusion that “Romeny and Ryan are going to destroy my chances for retirement.”

Team Barry couldn’t have asked for a better gift than Paul Ryan.

I’ve been listening to Fox News on tv all day and have heard that from commentators and other talking heads, and at least one “man on the street.” They have got to be kidding! In 2008, there were thousands of user comments all over the ‘Net posted by independents as well as lefturds who said they could never cast a vote that put Palin “one heartbeat away” from the presidency.

I hate the two-faced, libtarded hypocrites who populate the legacy media. I really do.

As someone who gets his morning chuckles reading Yahoo news, even i was surprised at the speed and crassness of their headlines after the Ryan announcement. I think they used ABC’s story but it was their news department that decided to use the ridiculous headlines for Yahoo’s front page.

What a bunch of amateurs.

I usually mix it up with the commenters and get a feel for the mood of the less politically knowledgable, and its definitely been a lot more anti Obama than 2008. Its seems like there are a lot more naysayers when an Obama zombie says something stupid. The liberals predictably went full mediscare, but i dont think many buy it. They all seem to know there are major problems with Medicare and Social Security and something must be done.

Only the most loyal liberals still believe anything Obama says. I dont know how he wins this election.

You dont think 3 out of 100 voters switch from Obama to any alternative after the last 4 years? Thats really all Romney needs.
