Joe Biden Cancels Trip to Tampa During RNC Convention

Bummer. We were all looking forward to watching Joe stick his foot in his mouth in person.
Joe Biden is postponing his trip to Tampa on Monday.
The Hill reported:
Vice President Joe Biden is postponing his trip to Tampa on Monday so local officials can devote their resources to Tropical Storm Isaac, the Obama Campaign announced Friday night.
Campaign officials said they were postponing Biden’s visit to Tampa — which was supposed to coincide with the Republican National Convention — due to an “abundance of caution.”
A release issued by the campaign said the move was made to “ensure that all local law enforcement and emergency management resources can stay focused on ensuring the safety of people who might be impacted by the storm, as well as those attending the activities in Tampa.”
The trip was part of an all-out effort by the Obama campaign to counter the RNC as Mitt Romney secures his party’s nomination. President Obama is expected to campaign in Iowa, Colorado and Virginia next week.

Yeah, because King Hope and Chains realized that breaking the ‘gentlemen’s agreement’ about disrupting the other guy’s convention was gonna blow up in his face like everything else he does.
The little chaos that bite me Joe would be able to drum up would pale in comparison to what the ‘pubs could get going during the DNC funeral, er, convention.

I think something extra hinky was up with that plan, too. I’m not sure, however, that the hinkiness has been canceled. Notice, also, that Biden’s trip to Tampa is postponed, not canceled.

Ann Romney’s changed her speaking time from Monday to Tuesday..or some other day — Mitt was unsure (probably purposefully) in the radio interview I heard yesterday.
Maybe the plan was for Joe to be in town on the day she speaks…a distraction or two…
Team BO and his Networks have worked awfully hard to keep Ind/Dem women from hearing the lovely and engaging Ann speak.
Remember, Dems think that Mooch is a treat for an audience…
You can bet they wish like heck they had an Ann.

I think the administration told Joe it was the Democratic convention just so they could take a break away from the buffoon for a day. besides do you think Joe knows just where the he!! he is most of the time. My uncle had Dementia, he used to sit out on his porch and smoke thinking he was on a boat talking to men smoking on the 2nd deck (porch roof) complaining these men were dropping their cigarette butts on him. Whenever I see Biden it reminds me of my uncle.

Peggy Noonan – PEGGY NOONAN! – had a story about Biden’s trip on Friday, I think it was, and she anticipated that Biden would make a great speech about the whole country being honorary citizens of Tampa. And she closed her paragraph with Biden saying “Ich bin ein Tampon!”
