On August 6, 2011, 30 US service members were killed when a CH-47 Chinook helicopter they were being transported in crashed in Wardak province, Afghanistan. It was the deadliest single loss for U.S. forces in the decade-long war in Afghanistan. 17 members of the elite Navy SEALs were killed in the crash.
On Tuesday, Karen and Billy Vaughn, parents of Aaron Carson Vaughn, spoke at the Defending the Defenders forum sponsored by the Tea Party Patriots outside the RNC Convention in Tampa. Karen brought a copy of the form letter they were sent following their son’s death.
Obama sent out form letters to the families of the fallen SEALs.

The tragic story touched Glenn Beck who offered a moment of silence for the fallen Navy SEALs who were dismissed and disrespected by Barack Obama.

Obama respects no one except a donation for his campaign
Obama promised to slow the rise of the oceans. . .tell that to the flood soaked folks in Louisiana. . .
And worse, Obama ignores them and goes fund-raising. . after all who would donate when underwater (which most of America is when it comes to debt!)
Unlike Romney who is heading over to join Gov Jindal

Now who is the REAL Leader America????. . .
Who is the Real Nice care who cares????

I don’t know the man personally. Was this heartfelt or simply a publicity grab and zing at Obama?
I really don’t know.
mg4us commented:
Even worse is that flying back from Colorado or heading to Texas next door, Obama won’t even do a fly-over!
Obama flew so flew so far north. . . and yet MSM gave Bush grief during Katrina. . .
Obama is a Gutter-boy if ever there was one. . .
Ragspierre commented:
Interesting contrast…
Obama exploits the SEALS, then threatens to sue one for his book.

It Has Always Been The Soldier
It is the soldier,
not the President who gives US Democracy.
It is the soldier,
not the Congress who takes Care of US.
It is the soldier,
not the Reporter who has given us Freedom of Press.
It is the soldier,
not the Poet who has given us Freedom of Speech.
It is the soldier,
not the campus [community] Organizer who
has given us the Freedom to Demonstrate.
It is the soldier,
who salutes the flag;
who serves beneath the flag,
and whose coffin is draped by the flag,
that allows the protester to burn the flag.

God Bless Soldiers everywhere for putting THEIR
lives on the line to protect us ALL from terrorism!

Great Moments in Autopen History
[Minutes before midnight, after a landslide House vote of 250-153,
President Obama signed legislation backing a four-year extension
on the controversial USA PATRIOT Act. (Did you know that's an
acronym for Uniting and Strengthening America by Providing
Appropriate Tools Required to Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism?
Now you do.) Yay, habeas corpus denials, warrantless searches
and carte blanche wiretapping! Four more years! Four more years!
Because the president was in France, he was required to sign it using an
autopen machine: that rare and wonderful device favored by politicians,
sports stars and celebrities, that can mechanically reproduce the act of
signing one's autograph. (See one in action here!)
Since first being patented in the U.S. in 1804 by English inventor John
Isaac Hawkins, the autopen has scribbled its way into American history
— and infamy — over and over again.]

Reagan wouldn’t be short of words with America today. We don’t have Reagan but we do have Glenn and others to carrying the torch.
President is out to lunch. Radicalizing and socializing this Nation. Shameful but he won’t be for long.
Voters know better and we need to send him packing back to Chicago.

All the President’s Signatures
[In case you are new to the ways of Washington, the autopen is a mechanical device that signs someone's name at the touch of a button. Presidents, members of congress and countless others have utilized autopens for decades to reply to constituent mail and perform similarly mundane matters. But signing a bill into law is no mundane matter: It's constitutionally required by the express language of Article I. It's not the use of the autopen itself that's the real issue. Believe it or not, it's the fact that the autopen and the president were not present together at the signing that makes this an unconstitutional act.
[..]
The bottom line is that autopengate establishes a dangerous precedent, one that every thinking lawyer in Washington politics seemed to have overlooked. Nobody should be signing bills for the president, not even when the president orders them to do so.]

Beck’s tribute was very touching and honest. He is deeply distressed by Comrade Barry’s disdain, hatred and abuse of our fighting men and women.

God Bless George & Laura Bush
[Honestly, we don’t think President Gore would have been much
better that day. The world needed George W. Bush, his bullhorn,
and his indomitable spirit that day…and we will forever be grateful
to this man for that.
As we will always be grateful for what George and Laura Bush did
this week, with no media attention, when they very quietly went
to Ft. Hood and met personally with the families of the victims of
this terrorist attack.
FOR HOURS.
The Bushes went and met privately with these families for
HOURS, hugging them, holding them, comforting them.
If there are any of you out there with any connection at all to the
Bushes, we implore you to give them our thanks…you tell them that
a bunch of gay Hillary guys in Boystown, Chicago were wrong about
the Bushes…and are deeply, deeply sorry for any jokes we told about
them in the past, any bad thoughts we had about these good, good
people.
You may be as surprised by this as we are ourselves, but from this
day forward George W. and Laura Bush are now on the same list for
us as the Clintons, the Palins, and other political figures we keep in
our hearts and never allow anyone to badmouth.
Criticize their policies academically and intelligently and discuss the
Bush presidency in historical and political terms…but you mess with
the Bushes personally and, from this day forward, you’ll answer to us.
We hope someday to be able to thank George W. and Laura in person
for all they’ve done, and continue to do. They didn’t have to head
to Ft. Hood. That was not their responsibility.
The Obamas should have done that.
But didn’t.
Wouldn’t.
Thank goodness George W. is still on his
watch, with wonderful Laura at his side.
We are blessed as a nation to have these two out there… just as we
are blessed to have the Clintons on the job, traveling the world doing
the good they do.]
we, who are also patriots, shall never forget..

I was sobbing after Glenn’s very personal tribute to our seals…And then had my emotions stirred again watching the final night of the RNC. It restored my faith in the goodness that is all around us but kept quiet because God asks us to not let the right hand know what left hand is doing.
Ragspierre commented:
A wise friend once taught me the difference between a “do-gooder” and a “good-doer”. The first performs for praise. The second for god, however you define that.
Not Likely commented:
Hey bg, I guess you haven’t noticed but even Jim Hoft has backed off his early lies about the signatures being from an autopen. Try to stay on message comrade.
Ragspierre commented:
#16 Yeah, see that is what people with integrity do. They step up, and admit their errors.
Try finding any of that at Toilet Paper Mau-maus, Media Mutters, etc.
And “lie” is a knowing (or at least, uncaring) falsehood. I don’t know that the jury is in on the Obama signatures, but we DO know that Obama managed a very personal letter of condolence to some obscure thug.
Prick.
