Ethiopian Christian Wins Gold Medal – Kneels and Weeps on Track (Updated)

Ethiopia’s Meseret Defar won the women’s 5,000 meter final Friday night.
It was an amazing sight.
Defar crossed the finish line with her arms in the air. Then she knelt down and pulled a religious picture of Mother Mary from her top. She kissed it and fell to the track weeping.
