Top Democrat operative and former Howard Dean campaign manager, Joe Trippi, told Brit Hume on FOX News Sunday today, “I don’t think he’s a felon. I don’t think he did anything that is a felony or perjury. I don’t think anyone in the Obama Administration or the Obama Campaign believe that.” But they’re running with the charges anyway.

But the Obama Campaign is making the outrageous felony accusations anyway… and won’t apologize.
It’s the Chicago way.

  1. Somebody should ask Obama – hey, if Mitt Romney had died in 1999, wouldn’t his name still have appeared on some documents for several years until the appropriate probate work was accomplished?? Would that mean he was still running the company and responsible for all investment decisions when he was dead?

  2. the experts said this would be the nastiest campaign thanks to obama, better get busy taking a hatchet to obama…he has made it an easy job…lif romney follows the mccain model after destroying his republican rivals and loses, i’ll be looking to retire in belize to get away from the obamunists.

    uhg Rove, that said..

    much more intersting is the following:

    “this is the trap that they’ve set for Romney”

  4. Apologize around the world but don’t apologize at home. Ah well, what else would we expect from a classless regime like this.

    Move on Mitt and focus on the economy and jobs.

  5. So if Trippi believes Obama and his campaign doesn’t believe it, then, once again, they are lying to the American public!

  6. The genteel Republican party is going to let their presidential candidate get beat again. At least this way, they can all keep their current offices. That’s all they care about.

  7. Of course he’s not going to apologize. No third-world dictators have taken offense.

  8. In South Boston (not Wellesley) we don’t ask for apologies when we’re getting our ass kicked in a bar fight.

    What we do is find the nearest bar stool and start swinging away.

  9. Chicago Way? worse than that. Sal Alinksy and Rules for Radicals WAY

  10. WOW. This is a big story. Another savvy, lifelong, well-connected Democrat refuses to support the Obama Campaign’s excesses.

    Those of you who tagged this guy as a “Manchurian Candidate” during the last election now can analyze this election as the American response to an attempted takeover of a liberal democratic government by a Marxist dictatorship.

    I think that this administration is intentionally trying to break the social compact, and I think our social compact is going to hold, mostly because we keep holding those pesky elections.

    It’s one thing to be a big government kind of guy, who believes in making use of the power of the Federal government to provide for national defense and to promote the general welfare of the country, and another thing entirely to abuse our system while pretending to do so.

  11. Related: Constitutional Grounds for Impeachment

    The phrase high crimes and misdemeanors is found in the U.S. Constitution. It also appears in state laws and constitutions as a basis for disqualification from holding office. Originating in English Common Law, these words have acquired a broad meaning in U.S. law. They refer to criminal actions as well as any serious misuse or abuse of office, ranging from Tax Evasion to Obstruction of Justice. The ultimate authority for determining whether an offense constitutes a ground for impeachment rests with Congress.

    btw, it’s Saul Alinksy.. ;-)

  13. Let’s ask Barry and every member of Team BO if they think he’d survive the close scrutiny they’ve given every potential Republican candidate for high office…

    Oh, and we could throw out a few uncomfortable facts that might wipe the smiles off their faces. But just in case they manage to hide their alarm –

    Try to watch when they get up to leave…a big wet stain on their backsides..?

  14. Top Dem Operative ? Joe seems like a pretty decent guy, but Top Dem Operative!!!
    If Trippi is a top operative for the Dems Romney doesn’t have a problem at all.

    I’m not a racist; I don’t like Biden or Pelosi either commented:

    Good link. Thanks. In my opinion, and assuming that Barack Obama is re-elected, he will be impeached on the basis of one or more of the following:

    1. Money laundering and other misconduct during the 2008 campaign;
    2. Interference in the oil drilling permitting process in the Gulf that resulted in the grant of a waiver and eventual spill in the Gulf;
    3. Failure to enforce the nation’s laws regarding the sale of weapons, for the purpose of falsely creating a crisis in order to build a case for gun control legislation, resulting in numerous deaths; which deaths were reasonably foreseeable.
    4. Use of funds appropriated for the stimulus of the economy as a reward system for monetary supporters of his campaign.

    Please bear in mind that there’s a long stretch of time between malfeasance and proof. Even now, in my opinion, the House does not have the documents they need to bring articles of impeachment in the Fast & Furious case, although they do appear to have identified them. Further, this President has a life-long habit of avoiding a paper trail, and may not be easily connected to this malfeasance, even though this was a project that should have involved co-operation of multiple departments and would, in the ordinary course, direction from the White House, if not a signature by the President.
