A group of Republican women held a press conference today on the ObamaTax law. The women called for a complete repeal of the unpopular Democrat law. Rep. Cathy McMorris Rogers (R-WA) said Obamacare is the “largest tax in America’s history.”

The group included Rep. Nan Hayworth (R-NY – an ophthalmologist), Rep. Ann Marie Buerkle (R-NY), Rep. Renee Ellmers (R-NC – a nurse) and Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA).

The Obamacare law contains 20 new hidden taxes on the American people. 75% of Obamacare costs will fall on the backs of those Americans making less than $120,000 a year.

The 3.8% “Roberts Tax” on Investment Income Kicks in on Jan. 1, 2013.

    Scott Walker Says No To ObamaTax

    [Walker, defending his position, stated,

    “While the court said it was legal, that doesn’t make it right. For us to
    put time and effort and resources into that doesn’t make a lot of sense.”

    He’s right. If Republicans intend to spend their political capital on the
    repealing of Obamacare, then it is a bit of a mixed message to begin
    the process of implementing that which your party is working against.

    Walker has made it clear his disdain for federally mandated healthcare.
    Calling it a “tax increase”, Walker claimed that Obamacare will lead to
    the rationing of care to control costs.]

    The propaganda technique Team Obama is using to turn people to accepting Obamacare is class warfare. They are giving people a new enemy, and they are borrowing the phrase One Percent to describe that enemy since is a tested phrase that has already been used and people understand it. This One Percent — as the propaganda campaign goes — are the “Free Riders” who would attempt to get free healthcare at the expense of their hard working neighbors. You see, you are supposed to get angry at the Free Riders, just as you are already supposed to be angry at the One Percent who do not pay their “Fair Share.” But Obama is not going to let them get away with it! No sir. He’s got your back and he will get tough with the “Free Riders” to make sure everyone pays their “Fair Share.”

    One possibility that should generate grave concern is that the Federal government could use to the tax code to undermine the Supreme Court’s landmark decisions affirming Second Amendment rights in Heller v. D.C. and McDonald v. Chicago.

    This is not a new idea; it is an old one. The New York Times reported in 1993 that the late Sen. Daniel P. Moynihan (D-NY) proposed adding a 10,000% Federal tax to 9mm handgun ammunition as part of “HillaryCare.” Yes, you read that correctly; it is not a typo. Ten thousand percent. Did John Roberts just open the door for a future Democratic Congress to actually enact such a tax as part of ObamaCare?

    Of course, like most left-wing Democratic proposals, the truly rich would be unaffected. The goal of the gun-controllers has never been total disarmament, just the disarmament of the common man. The rich will always have a loophole, a political connection, or be able to hire private armed security firms. A truly wealthy person — say, a Warren Buffett — could easily pay a 10,000 per cent tax on a box of handgun ammunition, and it would be an absolute bargain if he ever had to use it to save his life. But most people would probably not be able to afford it — and they’d just have to submit to the will of the armed criminal who stole his ammunition or purchased it on the black market without paying the tax.

    And that is how Roberts views the hierarchy of our nation.

    3. The courts- which should not tell either of the above they are wrong to want stupid things, be idiots or write bad laws.

    Only when the law’s writing or implementation violates the Constitution as interpreted by the courts (a big key) should the court step in.

    The usual process should be the above self-correcting the error like in 2010.
    1. You say no freaking way and vote
    2. The right people in to make the good and tough choices
    3. Which will be equally as constitutional as Obamatax.

    It has already started with Romney receiving something like 2 million dollars in a couple of hours after the decision. Obama is ass kissing Clooney in France for less! Thank you Judge Roberts!

    Rubio, again who should be VP, jumped on the decision within an hour and made the best case against it for young people, “millions have just been made targets of the IRS.”

    Remember what the biggest complaint is on the Right when dealing with Courts. They fear judges who impress their own PERSONAL opinions and feelings onto a court case. The ninth circuit in California for example.

    If Roberts were out there, the ninth would not have overturned proposition 8. The will of the people had spoken, constitutionally. Good bad or indifferent, it was done properly.

    Here, and some disagree with me on this, I think Roberts stretched to make the other two branches, one of which was beating on him pretty bad, take back the Obamatax hot potato, but now exposed as it truly is, a nation killing program.

    As I said in one of my posts Roberts gave Obama what was akin to the Chinese curse “May you live in interesting times.”

    Was it a smart move? I think it was a bold one as he tried to not only get out of the way of the politics that would have surely struck the Court if the law was thrown out, but also took the opportunity to define what this court thinks, how it will rule, and what is now limited that was not before.

    And possibly the biggest trick- to make all of us pissed off while REMINDING us we did it to ourselves. The “we” being the collective population of America from the thirties. Honestly, how long have we, as the silent majority, allowed minority liberals to change our world?

    And then when it gets too much we complain one guy did us wrong and its is all HIS fault. Unfair to say the least.

    He gave the conservatives enough ammo, direction, suggestions and ideas to last a decade. Hopefully, Romney gets elected, a couple of SP’s leave and Roberts remains the Chief Justice- now no longer vilified by the Left (how are they going to complain now on other matters?)- but on a Court filled with Constitutionalists like Thomas and Alito. (again assuming Romney doesn’t screw it up- a big if but not under Roberts’ control)

    At which point Roberts can take a break, sip some tea, and watch the justices squish big government progressive agendas like ants at a picnic for the next twenty years.

    Big government has been the desire of our leaders in both parties and, sadly, a majority of voters. Progressives educated us that way. MSM tells us what to believe. Conservatives tend to give the benefit of the doubt and let the Left get away with stuff they shouldn’t.

    It isn’t Roberts’ job to manage that. But he did give us a major kick in the shorts to remind us it is our job.

    Let’s get started.
