Approval Ratings for Supreme Court Slide Following ObamaTax Ruling

Americans believe the court is much too liberal.

The Supreme Court took a hit following the shocking ObamaTax ruling this week.
Rasmussen reported:
Public opinion of the Supreme Court has grown more negative since the highly publicized ruling on the president’s health care law was released. A growing number now believe that the high court is too liberal and that justices pursue their own agenda rather than acting impartially.
A week ago, 36% said the court was doing a good or an excellent job. That’s down to 33% today. However, the big change is a rise in negative perceptions. Today, 28% say the Supreme Court is doing a poor job. That’s up 11 points over the past week.
The new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey, conducted on Friday and Saturday following the court ruling, finds that 56% believe justices pursue their own political agenda rather than generally remain impartial. That’s up five points from a week ago. Just half as many — 27% — believe the justices remain impartial. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
Thirty-seven percent (37%) now believe the Supreme Court is too liberal, while 22% think it’s too conservative. A week ago, public opinion was much more evenly divided: 32% said it was too liberal and 25% said too conservative.

The founders original intent in making the Supreme Court appointments for life was to avoid being corrupted or becoming political.They don’t care if their approval ratings are zero.We are stuck with Kagan,sotomayor and Roberts for the next 25-30 years.

I would suggest that either Obama blackmailed Roberts over something or Roberts is just plain incompetent. Roberts rewriting the Obamacare legislation is hardly indicative of a justice declining to legislate from the bench.

It drives home too the need to for people to respect the rule of law. It was all predicated on the integrity of good men respecting each other’s individual liberties. The president appointed a leftist ideologue (or two) during a time in history where political correctness has neutered real discourse and the vetting process for anybody on the left.
Dems. place the football. Repubs. go for the kick and…….whoop.
One team is wholly committed to political corruption and the other team is too afraid to stand up against it.

Three of the justices will be turning 80 soon and 1 more appointment by Xerxes will screw this country up for decades.
Think about that when some of you sit at home on your ass instead of voting for Romney cause you think he’s too liberal.
I love the line Roberts used when he said
“It is not our job to protect the people from the consequences of their political choices. …. ”
Wake up America before it’s too late!!! Get everyone you know to become engaged this election. It may be our last hope to bring this country back from the abyss!!!

If they don’t follow the law, how long will people care about what the Court says what the law is?
Force can and will be used, of course, but a truly lawful society only works when people want to cooperate with the law. What happens when those in charge of the law are widely held in contempt and the civic virtues vanish?

CBS is reporting what a lot of people suspected. Roberts first voted to hold ACA unconstitutional and then changed his vote.
Way to go a**hole. Gives us a lot of confidence in your mental processes.
Remember that 0 seemed to have been tipped off on the first vote by someone in the Sup Ct [Kagan?] and came out ridiculing the Court as just a bunch of unelected guys who shouldn’t rule against his legislation.
I wonder what other pressure was put on Roberts ‘under the radar’?
The Court has become a contemptible, weak institution.
Kagan shouldn’t have voted on this issue at all. She worked on it in the DOJ.
Here is a solution. Let’s just stop pretending and put 0 on the Supreme Court with the sole vote. At least then it will look like what it actually is.
Move all of them to a smaller, cheaper building. Something appropriate to their diminished stature. Aren’t there still outhouses behind the WH?

When healthcare costs are based on your income and not your health it is a tax, plain and simple. So now the Commie Odumbocrats want to tax carbon dioxide ( the air you exhale when you breathe ) and a percentage of your income just for living.

I remember when it used to be a joke to say the gubmint would tax the air you breathe or just tax you for existing. The Odumbocrats have now made it a reality.
