13 Dead, 10 Injured After Crowded Pickup Truck Crashes Carrying Illegal Immigrants (Video)

Thirteen passengers were killed and ten were injured when a pickup truck packed full of illegal immigrants crashed into a tree near Goliad, Texas on Sunday.
KVUE reported:
Some of the injured were crying out for their mother. They did not speak English.
Reuters reported:
A pickup truck jammed with suspected illegal immigrants crashed into a tree along a rural Texas highway on Sunday, killing 11 passengers and injuring 12 others, police said.
The one-vehicle crash on Highway 59 near Goliad, Texas, some 80 miles south of San Antonio near the Gulf of Mexico coastline, was the second fatal accident in the past three months that involved human smuggling in the region.
In April, nine of 17 illegal immigrants in a packed minivan were killed when the vehicle rolled over while being pursued by U.S. Border Patrol agents near the border with Mexico in Palmview.
In Sunday’s fatal accident, police said the 23 people riding in the Ford pickup truck were suspected of being illegal immigrants.
The driver lost control and crashed into a tree, Louann Presas of the Texas Department of Public Safety said.

An article by AP stated officials didn’t know where the people were from.
Not knowing what country they’re from is actually easy to understand these days.
They could be Hizbullah, Hamas, Al Qaeda, or Iranians, coming up from Venzuela.

You do realize that the town of Berclair, in Goliad County Texas is about 120 miles northeast of the single most dangerous part of Mexican border, yes ?

That statement makes as much sense as those who are now calling for an assault weapons ban in the wake of the Aurora shootings. Just as we would never ban pickups because they serve a useful purpose, so do assault rifles serve a useful purpose in the hands of LAW ABIDDING CITIZENS.

Hey, it wouldn’t make a difference in this case. Riding ninety to vehicle is a common way to travel for third worlders. Legal or illegal, for some darned reason they feel the urge to try a sixty mile an hour version of stuffing phone booths.
I’ve been on traffic stops with them and seen so many Guats get out of a small car I thought I had warped into a three ring circus and the clowns were performing!
You ought to see one of their house. Twenty to a home, people on the floor etc.

OMG! Those “assault” pick ups have struck again! We need to BAN them. IMMEDIATELY if not sooner. Someone needs to push/shove a million page bill through Congress to ban these “Deathmobiles.” And no, we don’t have to wait for anyone to read the bill – just pass it. The left doesn’t give a damn that US immigration laws and procedures are for the protection and benefit of those entering the US, too. The left claims empathy and compassion for illegal aliens but that’s BS. The left supports everything that weakens and diminishes an exceptional, sovereign United States, including open borders, illegal immigration, and amnesty for illegal aliens because a strong, healthy, independent US will never accept and adopt communism.

According to Janet N., our border is more secure today than ever before!! I guess the border patrol did not think there was something fishy about 23 Hispanics in a pick-up truck going down the highway. Not to mention the border patrol has been ordered to stand down in the interior parts of Texas.
