When all else fails… Lie.

Senator Claire McCaskill (D-Pro-Obamacare) told reporters yesterday that the Democrat-led Senate has indeed passed a budget.
(It’s a lie.)
Via Quincy Journal:

The Senate hasn’t passed a budget since April 29,2009… But they did pass Obamacare and the Stimulus!

UPDATE: The NRSC released this statement:

“Senator McCaskill is either living in fantasyland or deliberately misleading Missouri voters,” said National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) spokesman Lance Trover. “This is exactly the kind of political double speak the hard working men and women of the Show Me State are tired of and why they are going to show her the door this November.”

    She is right, they did pas a budget……….. it was just over 3 years ago. It’s not her fault it was a sloppily framed question that left her a weasel escape route……

    At first I wondered if Senator Claire McCaskill was confused. Then, after she clarified her remarks to claim that Fox News lies about the senate budget, I realized her new plan is to lie directly to the people of Missouri.

    I hope that her opponent runs with this. They should point out that no family or business would take measure of only part of their income and spending and then call it a budget. But then most families and businesses can also keep track of what state their personal airplane is in, especially around tax time.
