Here’s a video flashback for you–
Barack Obama slammed SB 1070, the proposed crackdown on undocumented immigration that was sitting on Arizona Governor Brewer’s desk back in April 2010.
The president said it was the state that was “misguided” and that the Arizona measure would “undermine basic notions of fairness that we cherish as Americans.”
It looks like somebody was miguided, and it wasn’t Arizona, huh?

Exactly how can Barry be accorded the status of “Noted Constitutional Law Professor”? We have NO records that would give any meaning to that other than as an “empty suit”, full of muffins talking point.
Bill Mitchell commented:
Isn’t giving Obama a pass on everything by the Left the purest form of racism? They are saying – he can’t be held accountable for these problems because he is black (read, “inferior”).
Isn’t that what the Left is doing?

OBAMA IS THE LAST PERSON YOU WOULD WANT TO HEAR FROM WHEN IT COMES TO FAIRNESS IN AMERICA.
I have seen him split Americans and Illegals into groups. He and Holder are splitting this nation and divided it into ways that only can be called Socialism. Those of us who have obey the voting laws, pay taxes, born here legally, have an Active ss#, and watch a wedge between us and them. He has to go. He has no business calling himself a Constitution Law Professor. I would love to talk to some of the students in those classes.
He and Holder seem to think when they have a toe just on the edge of the Constitution it will be okay. But in the meantime they are making Citizens feel less than. That happens and Obama won’t be re-elected and it is happening every day he and Holder are in Office.

Blah, blah, blah….. There is no racial profiling but this administration just can’t get off that message. RP is few and far between, cops could lose their jobs. And these days thanks to Obama they are view and far between.

Arizona bears the brunt of the country’s illegal immigration problem. Its citizens feel themselves under siege by large numbers of illegal immigrants who invade their property, strain their social services, and even place their lives in jeopardy. Federal officials have been unable to remedy the problem, and indeed have recently shown that they are unwilling to do so. Thousands of Arizona’s estimated 400,000 illegal immigrants—including not just children but men and women under 30—are now assured immunity from enforcement, and will be able to compete openly with Arizona citizens for employment.
Arizona has moved to protect its sovereignty—not in contradiction of federal law, but in complete compliance with it. The laws under challenge here do not extend or revise federal immigration restrictions, but merely enforce those restrictions more effectively. If securing its territory in this fashion is not within the power of Arizona, we should cease referring to it as a sovereign State.

New poll: Obama’s executive-privilege assertion not as popular as WH imagined
Via Jammie Wearing Fool, the numbers are as brutal as he says. In a poll taken by The Hill after last week’s assertion of executive privilege by Barack Obama in the Operation Fast and Furious probe, only 29% of likely voters supported Obama’s move to block access to Department of Justice documentation, while a clear majority disapproved:
A clear majority of likely voters believes President Obama has exercised his executive power inappropriately — particularly in blocking the release of documents relating to Operation Fast and Furious, according to a new poll for The Hill. …
The Hill Poll found that likely voters disapproved by an almost 2-to-1 margin of Obama’s assertion of presidential power in the case. Overall, 56 percent of voters disapproved of his action, while only 29 percent approved.
The news is even worse among independents, and it’s not exactly a slam-dunk among Obama’s base, either:

I appreciate the optimism on the part of Arizona’s Governor, interpreting this as a victory, but let’s not candy coat this. This was a huge defeat in my opinion. The three most important provisions of the bill were struck down, and what’s left of the bill is essentially useless. I have NO IDEA how the court reached the conclusions that they did, but they did. This is a sad day for justice, the Constitution, and the rule of law in America. If this is the sort of support we can expect from the Supreme Court on the health care issue, we might as well throw in the towel right now. I’m sure I’m not alone when I say I’m VERY concerned about the direction things are headed n this country…

“undermine basic notions of fairness that we cherish as Americans.” — the Indonesian Imbecile
I really hate when he tries to act as if he has any attachment or understanding of America, which he campaigned on seeing fundamentally deformed. The Indonesian also liked to claim that islam was always part of America (LOL) and he showed his genearl understanding of the concept of constitutionality in his idiotic attempt to support the coup by his leftist, tin-foil buddy Zelaya.
Barky is beyond offensive and his feigned understanding of “America” is absolutely infuriating.

Poll: Obama opens up wide lead among Hispanics
{..}
Mr. Romney, however, fares 20 percentage points better than Mr. Obama among Hispanic voters who see the budget deficit as their No. 1 concern.
“Hispanics are as supportive of Obama at this point in the 2012 presidential election as they were in 2008, making them a key segment of Obama’s 2012 coalition,” Ms. Saad said. “Thus, whether to encourage Hispanic turnout (in the case of Obama) or to make inroads with Hispanics in electoral support (in the case of Romney), both candidates are making obvious overtures to the Hispanic community with pro-immigration policies.”

If an officers stops someone they must show their license and registration. They must do this.
{if they don’t they are ticketed} That will remain the same.
So, no matter how you slice and dice it, the officer must ticket this person. Suspicious of being an illegal won’t justified being pulled over, that is racial profiling. How many times have officers done this? count on one hand.
Therefore, let the courts fight it out and they will side with the cop in this instance. This is what I understand this SCOTUS decision. Officer cannot arrest for being illegal. But if they break the law, the law is the law, they aren’t above the law.
Patty commented:
Illegals are not getting preferential treatment. Or are they? Look, they cannot walk if they break the law. And you cannot tell me they won’t be locked. And in this process of justice in the U.S. courts this persons identity will come out. Then what. He remains here?
He does have to pay a fine or serve time all the same. Besides, I have heard that not too many illegals are entering like they have in the past as jobs are scarce.
But it is for darn sure those in Washington must start Immigration Reform.
