I’m glad we don’t have those cellphone laws here in Missouri yet.
    Arrested? Not ticketed?
    Sheesh

Wow, slow news day. But because it is Fox’s Chris Wallace I would suppose this administration is looking for Fox employees. And it would be impossible they had a tag on him. Who knows but who cares. Fox is still number one. Not matter what this administration does, live with it.

one would think he could afford one of those hands free head sets..
if they too are illegal, he could always say he was talking to himself,
which i’m sure he does anyways.. 😉

Wow! Now Americans are being arrested!!???? for talking on a cell phone while driving? A ticket isnt good enough?? You have to book him??

We the poeple need to stop these madmen! Enough is enough! Criminals run rampant, do whatever the eff they want, but talking on a cell phone is arrestable now?? We have lost our minds!

  • LisaK

Actually, Chris Wallace was in Brian Kilmeade’s radio show at 9:06am CST on my Media Player & didn’t say anything about it. Now…Kimmeade’s show

    Sorry but handsfree device?

    You can neither confirm nor

    Deny events you did not

    witness. This will get thrown

    out in court.

  • Gary

    OK
But where I’m from, this is called “pulled over”, not “arrested”.

Maybe the cop will ask him if he thinks he’s a flake.

  • Toddski

I’m sorry Chris got arrested, but I’m waiting for that law to come to Florida……Everyone, and I mean everyone drives while on the phone……The accidents are ridiculous, not to mention that most people down here are in the clouds …..It must be too much heat !

Don’t miss this! It sort of applies to what happens when you speak ill of this administration ( as Chris Wallace has been heard to do) and why you don’t assume a snake is dead until the body is separated from the head. ☻

An extremely important movie is coming this summer – – It is called simply “2016”.

The speaker here is Dinesh D’Souza, college president in New York and author of many New York Times best sellers. The movie is from Gerald R. Molen, producer of Academy Award winning Schindler’s List, Jurrasic Park, Brave Heart.
It explains in plain language who Barack Obama really is, what he stands for, and the dangers of him being reelected for another four years.

  • Luddite

Stossel had this debate with the RINO-ish Bill O’Reilly. Stossel pointed out that in states that implemented these laws the accident rate doesn’t go down. It merely allows the police to selectively enforce a squishy law.

  • snap boy

They arrest people rather than issue a ticket?

  • listingstarboard

Chris Wallace is a liberal–wonder why they didn’t just let him go. Remember when Jim Treacher got hit crossing the street in DC in the crosswalk –by a State Dept. vehicle that left the scene of the accident. Treacher got a ticket for “jaywalking” and a shattered knee. This Government is out of control.

Even in the USS of Kalifornia the use of hands-free cellular equipment is allowed. If stopped while texting/talking on cell phone while driving without use of this approved equipment, a person is subject to a $20.00 fine (first offense), $50.00 fine for each offense thereafter. I don’t know, off hand, what the fine/punishment is for chronic offenders. But arrested? That seems pretty harsh.

I hope that someone can clarify, and that GP can prominently update, on whether we are talking about a ticket or an actual arrest. I live in DC (area), and yeah, it is against the law to speak on your cell phone while driving. But arrested sounds a bit extreme, and I would tend to think Wallace was being a bit hyperbolic upon the event. I would shocked to hear that he actually was taken into custody.

I’ll dig around a bit, but if anyone comes across a clarification or update, please chime in.

This County: land of the free and home of the brave~ has become nothing but a nanny state where we all should just lie down, put our hands behind our back and chant, “I’ll do it your way”…..

Say, tparty, thanks for all that voluminous backup you’ve given us to demonstrate that you have the slightest frikkin’ clue about what actually took place a mere few hours ago.

    Speaking of dolts……

  • anti-bho

apparently you, #20, have one hell of an imagination, unless you were there. were you?

  • Arrested or given a ticket?

  • Andrew X

Folks, I’ve done some rudimentary surfing, and I have to conclude at least tentatively that if Wallace were actually taken into custody, that it would be a bigger story by now.

I think he just said “arrested” as sort of wry hyperbole in the moment, and I assume he is safe at his desk right now.

Maybe I’m wrong, I can’t say anymore than our nitwit friend up there at #20, but I pretty strongly think this is pretty much a non-story, just a smidge amusing for it to have happened on the air that way.

    In other news……

  • Truck Monkey

Welcome to the Peoples Republic of Maryland. No cell phone talking at all (includes hands free). You do not get arrested for it and it cannot be used as a primary offense to be pulled over for. My guess is Wallace was either driving erratically or speeding and they got him for the phone too.

  • P. Aaron

Arrest = bail and car impounded. Hundreds if not over a thousand dollars when including any possible fines.

This is all about revenue generation. It has nothing to do with public safety, ‘distracted’ driving or any other happy-safe talk city leaders wanna blab about.

DC has some of the worse crime in this country and the police are going after cellphone users. Give me a flippin break. DC is another destination city I will stay out of, like NYC with soda bans and other crazy laws.

Has anyone else noticed that the MOST “liberal” states have the MOST limits on “liberty”?

Liberalism doesn’t bring liberty and Progressivism isn’t progressive. These people are specialists at naming themselves the opposite of what they actually are.

For instance, “racist” Republicans fought to have the Civil Rights Laws passed over the objection of filibustering Democrats.

    Bill Mitchell commented:

I certainly makes my head spin. But one way out is to vote for the more conservative judge, city council and mayor in you city.

Liberal judges are tearing this nation apart. Governors, also very important.

  • Odd

I think that its a little odd that it happened. I am not to big on conspiracies (though I am sure alots does happen) but Fox News reporter arrested…. I think some of our blogger friends need to start following around DC reporters as well as Politicians (just to make a statement)

  • Andrew X

Folks, I hate to drumbeat here, but can we at least confirm that Wallace was in fact arrested before we go off making judgements about the city and the country and various players based on an event that I really think did not happen? Please.

It is really important that we as conservatives keep a level head. When the facts are nailed down, surge forth with both barrels blazing. But until that moment, chill out and wait for confirmation. Otherwise we start looking like Kossacks, Green Football lizards, and DU fruitcakes, with all the associated credibility and I really don’t want us to go there.

Can ANYONE give me a second source on this “arrest”? Anywhere? Until then, how about a big glass of nice, chilled… Chill. C’mon.

Left, right, or center…you have to admit THAT’s funny!

  • That one guy

So much for the firt amendment.

If there is no victim there should be no crime.

The state should not have the ability to call itself the victim unless actual harm has occurred.

Because we broke some unConstitutional law they claim victim status?

Well then why are those representatives that refuse to hear those they represent not arrested?

Patty, are you questioning whether it is a military drone or do you think the military is trying to pass off a UFO as a drone? Or are you asking why a drone is being transported via a flatbed truck?

All you UFO nuts can have fun with this one.

but I’m waiting for that law to come to Florida – toddski

Just because there’s law on the books doesn’t mean people will obey it.

Here in Washington state, it’s the law – and things haven’t changed a bit. People still do it. People still get in accidents when they do it. Only now, they get an additional cite.

    Big whoop.
