It’s an Obama world.
The Taliban-linked Haqqani terror network in Pakistan have killed 500 US troops in Afghanistan. The Taliban is stronger today than they were a year ago.

The Taliban continues to murder US soldiers and Marines.

Sgt. John P. Huling, of West Chester, was killed on May 6 in Afghanistan. Military officials told his mother they suspect that the person who ambushed her son was a Taliban militant.

So what does Barack Obama do in response to the escalating violence?
He offers the Taliban peace talks and builds them an office in Qatar.

    Why shouldn’t they cozy up to the Taliban? They are arrayed against the enemies of the Obama Administration: the rank-and-file American G.I., as well as U.S. Commanders who have moved up the ranks by other means than just brown-nosing and caving in to the Leftist indoctrination which is bringing about the ruin of our Military so deeply desired by the Left.

    I’m among the doubters here. The Taliban has a sufficient history of betrayal and cruelty. We negotiated with the Japanese to keep their emperor but almost everything else about their society was changed after WWII. Same for Germany. Why in heaven’s name any government in DC or Kabul would negotiate with the Taliban is beyond me.
    Re the Constitutions of Iraq and Afghanistan: do you know who had serious doubts about the US Constitution? Ben Franklin did. I would not have chosen either the Book of Common Prayer or Sharia as the basis for the US Constitution, but the peoples of Afghanistan and Iraq were writing their own — they were never subject to US approval. I hope the people of those countries will move rapidly toward free societies, but they’ve got to start from where they were, not from where we wish they were.

    I cannot see how a human being can see our Troops in the face after all their sacrifices and after all the hell he has put them through and betray them in such an unimaginable way!
