As I was looking at the photo of the Fenway Park scoreboard I noticed the signature of John Hancock above. I would guess that most Bostonians, although a bit too progressive in their views, were looking at that scoreboard and the larger than life signature of one of our Founders, which visually dominates all the other signatures on the Declaration of Independence. To be staring at that signature which stands for individual freedoms and liberties and then to have the face and words of the most freedom sapping president in our history appear was probably too much to take even for the libs attending the game.
