Biden to DC Youths: Romney’s Going After Granny’s Medicare

(Politico)

When you can’t run on your record you fear monger.
Joe Biden told a crowd of young people that Mitt Romney is going after their grandparent’s Medicare and Medicaid… And he’s going to throw sick children under the bus.
The Politico reported, via Weasel Zippers:

Vice President Joe Biden rallied a standing-room-only crowd of young people in a DC theater on Tuesday night by inviting the audience to envision what the country would look like with Republicans in charge.

“Does anybody in this audience think that had the other team won, the war in Iraq would be over right now?” Biden said. “Does anybody think had the other team won, Don’t Ask Don’t Tell would have been repealed?” He followed with similar questions about instituting stricter fuel efficiency standards, installing two female Supreme Court Justices and signing the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act for women.

Each time the crowd responded with a resounding “No!”

Biden then invited them to envision what will happen if Mitt Romney is elected.

He noted that he never thought the country would be revisiting the debate over contraception in 2012.

“What else will we be revisiting if there’s a Romney presidency and a Republican Congress?” he asked. “Who do you think they’ll put on the Supreme Court? What do you think will happen to your grandparents’ Medicare and Medicaid? How about children and pre-existing conditions, what do you think will happen to them?”

Of course, it was Democrats who cut $500 billion from Medicare with their partisan health care plan.
But, since when have facts mattered to this administration?
