Sharpton Plans “Escalating Civil Disobedience” If Zimmerman Remains Free

Here come the riots.

Sharpton has practice at this.

MSNBC host Rev. Al Sharpton says there will be an escalation in civil disobedience if George Zimmerman remains free.
The Orlando Sentinel reported, via Free Republic:

If George Zimmerman is not arrested in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin soon, the Rev. Al Sharpton will call for an escalation in peaceful civil disobedience and economic sanctions.

Sharpton would not say the efforts would be taken against the city of Sanford specifically, but he has been critical of the police department’s handling of the case.

Saturday’s scheduled 11 a.m. march from Crooms Academy of Information Technology to the Sanford Police Department headquarters was organized by the local chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.

The civil rights activist and syndicated television show host said he will elaborate on this plan Saturday.

“I will speak about how the National Action Network will move to the next level if Zimmerman isn’t arrested,” Sharpton said, who founded the organization. He added that it was the Martin family and lawyers who first asked him to get involved and nationalize this story.

The case has ignited ire and debate across the nation, galvanizing thousands of Trayvon supporters to the streets and social media, donning hoodies and toting Skittles.

Why is this kind of threat not inciting to riot?

  • Texas_Treeroach

What would Sharpton and Jackson do if they couldn’t put somebody else’s blood on their hands?

  • jony101

they need to arrest sharpton for sedition and line him against the wall if found guilty. Thats what they do to white people who disagree with the government, it’s only fair sharpton get the same treatment. Just because he got his affermative action education doesnt make him better than the rest of us.

Crooms Academy of Information Technology? I don’t get it. Is there a Golden Corral next door?

  • JDubya

May Sharpton’s hatred consume his followers and their rage turn against him when they find his real motive.

  • 66chevelle

Oh, wait…Crooms Academy of Information Technology must be where Marcus Davonne Higgins acquired his Mad Internet Skilz.

  • Sharpton would like to cause a riot. Race issues are his cash cow. I am like most Americans. I know that Sharpton is a phony.

If blacks riot over this then they will lose all credibility with white people. The matter is being seen to by the Grans Jury that is enough.

The media has been selective in its presentation of the facts in this case because it likes to create the impression that it is on the side of justice.

Hey! MSNBC. Better have a talk’n to your syndicated television show host because I will blame YOU for telling your employee to STFU…at least until the police issue results of an initial investigation. We’re looking at Duke Lacrosse all over again.

  • valerie

Nah. I recommend the same as I did for the husband of the Iraqi woman killed a few days ago in El Cajon, where they found the “threatening note” — let him talk. I don’t say that because I agree with him. I think he’s wrong and acting stupidly. It’s that I trust Americans.

The facts about the Trayvon Martin shooting have made it to the public, and they’re willing to reconsider their opinion, based on facts transmitted to them.

I thought the New Black Panthers destroyed their position with this interview by Anderson Cooper. Cooper just asked the questions and accepted the answers.

Cooper did make one point: Trayvon Martin’s family did not want their “help.”

So, If All Sharpton wants to talk, ask the questions, and give him time to respond at length. Just be sure that the questions get asked.

Trayvon did not know his limits. A man has to know his limits.

  • Economan

By most accounts Zimmerman was defending himself. Sharpton should be arrested for fomenting riots.

Of course if riots do happen and people get killed and property destroyed, he’ll try to avoid the consequenses.

  • Pragmatic

MSNBS must concur with this strategy . . . what an outrage.

  • Mad Hatter

“Al Sharpton will call for an escalation in peaceful civil disobedience and economic sanctions.”

Peaceful civil disobedience? Disobedience is another name for disorderly conduct. It’s the same thing, but they changed the name in order to keep ignoring the law.

Remember how quotas was pushed, and then found to be illegal? The Alinsky left changed the name from quotas to diversity in order to keep pushing their skin color agenda.

The left will always change the name of something, but will continue with the same tactics.

Civil disobedience is nothing more than ignoring the laws, ignoring the police, they will act as if they’re doing nothing wrong, and will play the victim when the police have to forcibly remove them from a given area.

    There’s nothing civil about that.

  • Rachelle

Economic sanctions??? What are “Holder’s People” going to do? Refuse to collect food stamps?

Somewhere in MSNBC a lawyer should start worrying about their liability if they provide Sharpton a platform to call for a ‘peaceful’ riot.

“I will speak about how the National Action Network will move to the next level if Zimmerman isn’t arrested,”

In point of fact, Zimmerman WAS arrested and questioned immediately and at length. The police concluded that they had to release him, because his testimony and his injuries consistently supported his claim of garden variety self-defense, with or without the presence of the expanded definitions under the revised Florida law.

The problem isn’t all with Mr. Sharpton. We’ve seen this nonsense, before.

Black leader blasts Sharpton and Jackson for “exploiting” Trayvon Martin
by Joel McDurmon on Mar 27, 2012

    The Daily Caller reports,

Former NAACP leader C.L. Bryant is accusing Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton of “exploiting” the Trayvon Martin tragedy to “racially divide this country.”

“His family should be outraged at the fact that they’re using this child as the bait to inflame racial passions,” Rev. C.L. Bryant said in a Monday interview with The Daily Caller.

The conservative black pastor who was once the chapter president of the Garland, Texas NAACP called Jackson and Sharpton “race hustlers” and said they are “acting as though they are buzzards circling the carcass of this young boy.” . . .

He also criticized President Obama for his “nebulous statement” responding to Martin’s death that “if I had a son, he’d look like Trayvon.”

“What does that mean?” Bryant asked. “What was the purpose in that?”

    Al Sharpton’s latesT LYING GAME.

Al Sharpton remains one of the driving forces behind the effort to turn the Trayvon Martin case into an indictment of America itself. To earn his daily bread, Sharpton is well aware that he must continuously convince black Americans that they live in a hopelessly racist nation, not because it’s true, but because any genuine progress made by blacks themselves is inimical to his own interests. Forgotten in the controversy surrounding the Martin case are the dark levels Sharpton has stooped to in order to ensure the survival of his public persona, which are worth recalling here.

Sharpton’s involvement in the Martin controversy hews to a familiar tune. Earlier this week, he held a protest with Rev. Jesse Jackson attended by thousands in Sanford, Florida, the town where Martin was shot. Sharpton has been working over-time instigating racial hatred, whipping up frenzied crowds with a false narrative. Presenting a petition demanding the immediate arrest of George Zimmerman, Martin’s alleged shooter, Sharpton warned that if the board does not act swiftly, the town could become “the Birmingham of the 21st century, as a place of racial intolerance and double standards.” He later asserted, “This is America on trial.”

By any reasonable standard, Sharpton’s first brush with national prominence should have been his last. In 1987, Sharpton involved himself with a 15-year-old black girl named Tawana Brawley, who claimed that she had been abducted and raped in Dutchess County, New York. She had been missing for four days, and was found covered in dog feces with racial slurs written on her body. Ms. Brawley claimed that as many as six white men, one of whom carried a badge, had participated in the crime. Brawley refused to cooperate with prosecutors, which Sharpton characterized as “asking someone who watched someone killed in the gas chamber to sit down with Mr. Hitler.”

  • Patty

My goodness, he compares Trayvon death to every Riots in U.S. History. The man is sick. Sick with are racist filled heart.

April 10th will tell the tale. Grand Jury deliberations.

  • johnny

When he is arrested (and he will be) to prevent these screaming idiots from causing civil unrest, it will not be enough. If a jury aquits him, there will be riots. Unlike OJ. If the jury had found him guilty, There would have been riots.

    Not so Sharp’ton.

  • Suprsvc01

Al Sharpton clearly seeks to incite a race riot with his over-charged rhetoric. Well I hope for the county’s sake that he doesn’t succeed. But if he does, I say let his miserable, lying a$$ be at the front of the line like a good leader should be, so he can take the first round.

“Over half of all race fans didn’t bother to vote in the last election. I know I was one of them. When you sign up, you become eligible to win this car. If you do win I’ll deliver it myself.” — Blake Koch, NASCAR Driver

According to RightWingNews, ESPN rejected the above advertisement, declaring that it had “religious and political overtones.” There is nothing said by Koch supporting any particular political party, religion, ideology or candidate mentioned in the ad. ESPN is owned by Disney/ABC, which over the years has evolved into a very far-left, “politically-correct” organization. I can guarantee you that if the commercial was ran by one of the Marxist, Obama-supporting “Get Out the Vote” (i.e., to dead people, felons, Mickey Mouse, etc.) organizations like “Project Vote”, they would have no problem with it whatsoever.

This ad is not controversial in any way, whatsoever. It doesn’t even cross the line of political-correctness at the anti-free speech paranoids at ABC/Disney. But, since Blake Koch happens to be a Christian, he is being discriminated against by the “tolerant” Left. Anything he says must have “religious overtones”. Would they have a problem if Mr. Koch was a Muslim?

A commie president and the Trayvon tragedy
    written by Erik Rush

    (The other Rush)

When President Obama commented on the Martin shooting, some contended that he had “acted stupidly” in commenting on something he should have stayed out of for reasons of due process and presidential decorum. I contend that like nearly everything he does, it was quite calculated. While specious as well as gratuitous, Obama stating that if he had a son, “he’d look like Trayvon” was nevertheless calculated to engender an emotional response. The reason it was calculated to engender an emotional response is the same reason many things are transpiring across the political landscape, all at the same approximate time.

That’s the when part … which is, quite clearly, right now.

The things to which I refer that are transpiring concurrently include the aftereffects of the sub-prime mortgage crisis, violence on our border with Mexico, the Occupy movement, assaults on religious freedom and free speech by the administration and activists, and the implausible organization and mobilization of fringe malcontents into politically active groups. These developments can all be traced (as I’ve recently indicated) to Obama’s political roots, which are borne out by his policies, his associations and his affinity for such doctrines as Black Liberation Theology and Critical Race Theory.

The specter of a communist takeover of the U.S. still remains singularly preposterous to millions of Americans who would quickly come to arms if they actually believed it a possibility. I’m not entirely certain how President Obama proposes to suppress those who would rise up against him were his intentions to become widely apparent, but I believe that part of the plan is to factionalize us (such as is occurring over the Martin case and Occupy Wall Street). I believe he’s also counting on deepening economic adversity to heighten Americans’ collective stress. Another element might be to provoke concerned patriots into action that he could point to as a threat to domestic tranquility, thereby convincing a preponderance of Americans to accept fundamental compromises to their civil liberties.

In such a case, Obama could then employ some of the more traditional Marxist tactics, such as mass executions, as cohorts of his friend Bill Ayers once advocated. It’s already apparent that certain factions would be more than happy to aid him in that effort. Quite a few conservatives have pointed to the timeliness of Obama’s executive order of March 16 (on “National Defense Resources Preparedness”) as an overture to just such action. Called a mere “tweak” of the amended Defense Production Act of 1950, many have asked why the president saw a necessity to “tweak” a law with provisions that essentially give exclusive and unlimited power to the Executive Branch in the event of a national emergency, which would necessarily be declared by the president himself.

To those whose assessment of individuals is not predicated upon what comes out of their mouths and the mouths of their surrogates, the truth is clear: President Obama is a communist, laboring with like-minded comrades to actualize a long-embraced communist agenda – and their end game is fast approaching.

That is the why of it.

  • arnonerik

Sharpton is a phony and a hustler and all who listen to him only exemplify their own ignorance or race hate. The real villains, however, are the left-wing media and the politicians who are fomenting race riots to solidify the Black vote and spike their voting participation to save Obama’s ass in the coming election.

  • Patty

In a nation that is suppose to be past discrimination and every person has rights. And every person must obey the law. It appears in the eyes of some that this nation is imperfect.

Every state votes on laws and those citizens in that state must obey them. I suggest that citizens who are considering to protest and break the law, should first approach things in a obedient manner.

Change the law. You need signatures and a petition and your voice will be heard. Because it appears to me that racially motivated minds are no privy to the laws and how the are made or repeal. It is happening now in the Supreme Court with Health care.

Rev. Sharpton is approaching this from a racial and very radical way. I don’t know what his outcome is other than disrupting and in essence breaking the law.

NO MAN IS ABOVE THE LAW, not Zimmerman, nor was Martin and especially those who intentionally take matters into their own hands. Some blacks are expecting more than they are due. And what I mean here is, they must come to the realization this nation doesn’t have different laws for one group and others for another.

  • Winston Wolfe

Obama is not above the law, either. He has fueled the fires of hate, racism and unrest.

It would be most appropriate for a president not to way in no matter his color, race or creed.

Now, that he once again put his foot into something that would ignite others and with no incite into what happen, I suggest he does have his moment to calm the fears and repair the damage he and others are doing to a POST RACIAL NATION.

The Left is now complaining, because the facts coming out are puncturing the balloon of lies surrounding the Martin “thug” shooting, that justice must be done soon. Why? Because in a month, everybody will have known the truth. Martin was a thug wannabe who thought jumping a man, trying to protect his neighbors, was a good idea. And rather than talking, he beat his head into the cement. Unfortunately for Martin, as most low intelligent thugs realize too late, Zimmerman was armed.

When I read the initial article I knew, after twenty plus years of dealing with street crimes, what happened. I knew. I told friends “you watch. Martin must have jumped Zimmerman. No other way it happened. Martin just didn’t know Zimmerman had a gun. It was all about ‘respect’ and the arrogant ‘above the law’ attitude awarded to young blacks by the society allowing for rappers and race baiters etc.” In short, Martin decided to “thug up” and got killed for his criminal efforts. How it got to the beating doesn’t matter. Martin turned it from an innocent misunderstanding into a life and death situation for Zimmerman.

    It is what it is.

I guess she was against incitement before she was for it. Someone needs to drag her out onto the carpet over this whole mess.

  • Sasha is right.

I fear Zimmerman will be offered up to quell the unrest. I’ve not seen a great deal of courage in the politicians down here or the SAO attorneys. The fact is the facts get in the way. Hopefully, the witnesses, even the 13yr old that the MSM gave up, will stay strong.

I call this a tragedy only because of Zimmerman’s plight and the upcoming harm that will be done to this generation’s “Reginald Denny” by some “black man angry over the injustice”.

Be ready and make sure it isn’t you. That is all you can do as this cancer works its way through our social system. Notice nobody is talking about the killer in Tampa, or the rapist Jim pointed out, or the flash robberies including the one committed at Walgreens by a group “mourning” Martin.

We’ve bred nightmares and now they will sadly visit us not only when we sleep but when we are awake.
