MSNBC host Rev. Al Sharpton took time out during his show last night to lash out at ‘fake Christians’ like Rev. Franklin Graham.

“We’ve been hearing a lot about faith and religion in recent days. This morning Franklin Graham went on national television to question President Obama’s Christian faith… I am a Christian but I don’t require everyone to believe what I believe and share my faith. I believe in Jesus. I read and preached since I was a little boy. A Jesus that healed the sick, opened blind eyes, opened deaf ears. But He never asked anyone he healed what faith they believed in and never told them they had to be with him in order to get healed. Real Christians help heal people and help people. They don’t talk about it. Their works speak for themselves.”

Of course, this sermon comes from the same guy who organized race riots in Brooklyn.

Obviously, Reverend Al has never heard of Samaritan’s purse, Graham’s relief organization that operates in more than 100 countries.

  1. Hey, “Reverend” Al, how goes the hypocrisy agenda? Looking good, my man. Keep it up.

    Oh, and please offer thanks to all those co-opted fools in politics and media who buy your act and prop you up as some sort of qualified spokesman for… um… something, and who give you public platform after public platform to use as you continue making a colossal jackass of yourself.

    You lucky guy, you.

  2. The nerve!

    A fake reverend chastising a true man of God.

    What was the last honorable thing Sharpton did to help people other than to shake them down?

    What a despicable POS.

  3. Al Sharpton has created more havoc with his “ministries” then any Christian Minister I know. Al belongs in jail, if you ask me.

  4. Jesus never taught taught one should either become politically active in order to redistribute wealth. He never taught that one should ask the government for handouts. Al, what do you personally do to help others? I would venture a guess that like a lot of Liberals you take great comfort in helping others by using your political influence to take from others and give to the needy rather than actually use your own money.

  5. Wonder how much this obvious fraud gives to charity? I guess a lot if he’s the charity. He’ll have his day of reckoning and the Judge won’t be buying Al’s bs.

  6. Sharpton is a racist unintelligent heathen. He is not he kind of Christian I want living next to me or teaching my children.

  7. And, how much money does $harpton owe governments still?

  8. I mean I knew that Al was a “funny” Christian, but come on… Christ doesn’t require you to believe in Him and His Father and EVERYTING that goes with it. Wake up Al before its to late for you.

    The Father requires EVERYTHING to come to saving Faith in Christ Jesus. If you do NOT share with others about Christ and His uniquness (laying down His life for you as unworthy) so that you can be brought back into fellowship with the Father. If you refuse to live like the old self you came from and live for Jesus wholeheartdly, if you do not believe in the entire Word of the Living God; you will NOT enter heaven no matter how nice and kind you think you might be,.

  9. BTW where’s Tawana Brawley these days ?

  10. Talk about a fake Christian. Mr. Sharpton has never displayed any hint of religion in his race baiting or concern for anyon but his wallet. He is not even considered important in the “Black” community for the most part is either ignored or laughed at by his attempts to get over.

  11. rev race pimp al sprouting off crap again…

  12. And the left are trying to change the narrative… from requiring Catholic institution to go against their beliefs on abortion/birth control to provide policies that cover birth control/morning after medication, to womens rights to healthcare. DON’T let them change the subject. They are notorious for it!

  13. “He never asked anyone he healed what faith they believed in and never told them they had to be with him in order to get healed.” – Al Sharpton

    Matthew 15:22-27

    22And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.

    23But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us.

    24But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

    25Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.

    26But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it to dogs.

    27And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table.

    28Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.

  14. The Rev. Al “Charlatan” Sharpton is representative of the phoniness that makes up the left. What a puffed up piece of wind-baggery.

  15. “A Jesus that healed the sick, opened blind eyes, opened deaf ears.” Everything Al Sharpton said is consistent with islamic beliefs concerning their depiction of Jesus. He forgot to mention the critical part about his islamic “Jesus”; you know, the one who comes alongside mohammed at the End of Days to destroy all crosses & force every christian to accept islam or die.

    I hate to say it, but I’d love to be there to see his face when he meets the Hebrew, Jewish, Ha Messiah, Yeshua, Jesus Christ, King of Kings, Lord of Lords, Almighty God & Savior. Just say’n.

  16. many thanks to MN8, for the scripture

  17. Mark 5:34… “And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague. ”

    It was faith in who Jesus is that powers healings, but to race hustler Reverand Kingfish God does not care what you believe. The sinner is OWED salvation .

  18. “… You are not a God who takes pleasure in evil;
    with you the wicked cannot dwell.
    The arrogant cannot stand in your presence;
    you hate all who do wrong.
    You destroy those who tell lies;
    bloodthirsty and deceitful men
    the Lord abhors…

    … Not a word from their mouth can be trusted;
    their heart is filled with destruction.
    Their throat is an open grave;
    with their tongue they speak deceit.
    Declare them guilty, O God!
    Let their intrigues be their downfall.
    Banish them for their many sins,
    fro they have rebelled against you.
    But let all who take refuge in you be glad;
    let them sing for joy.
    Spread your protection over them
    that those who love your name may rejoice in you.
    For surely you bless the righteous;
    you surround them with your favor as a shield.”
    ~~ Psalm 5

  19. For “Reverand” Sharpton to have preached the bible since his youth he should be familiar with the verse that says “I am the way, the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father but through me.” John 14:6. This plainly states that Jesus is the only way. There isn’t anything we can do but accept his free gift.

  20. And that folks is an prime example of someone calling himself a Christian and then giving Christianity a bad name. One can call themself anything they want but that doesn’t make it so. Sharpton’s own words condemn him.

    All one has to do is compare the walk and talk of Franklin Graham and then look at Sharpton. I will give him this though. He is one of the two premier race baiters of this century. I guess that’s something he can be proud of among his circle of friends.

  21. Dead-center bull’s-eye on the Samaritan’s Purse notation.

    That one, single ministry has done more good to more people on more continents that the Wrong-Reverend-not-too-Sharpton could ever dream of doing if he had 10 times’ other people’s money to redistribute.

    Guess whiny Al is having a bit of alms-envy?

    Really sucks when the rarely-known, mostly behind-the-scenes and not perpetually-self-promoting actions of someone else (and thousands of other unknown volunteers) outshines your own self-righteous short-on-action bloviating like the noonday sun does a lit match.

  22. Al Sharlaton is a worthless gutter snipe who wouldn’t know decency if it hit him over the head. He is a money grabbing, publicity seeking fraud who gives the word Turd a bad name.

  23. Ditto on the thanks to mn8 for offering the relevant Scripture. As well to donh and wanumba.

    It would be nice to see another minister’s response to this statement:
    ‘But He never asked anyone he healed what faith they believed in and never told them they had to be with him in order to get healed. ‘

    If Sharpton meant ‘saved’ when he said ‘healed’, it would seem there are numerous passages and authorities that would readily disagree. The instruction that ‘if any man will come me, let him deny himself, pick up his cross, and follow me’ (Matthew 16:24, Luke 9:23, Mark 8:34) come to mind, for example.

    If Sharpton meant ‘made better’ when he said ‘healed’, perhaps he’s technically correct, but it seems a strange way to speak of Jesus- as a medical healer, and not the one who brings salvation. Honestly, Sharpton has been so invested in racial politics for so long that he doesn’t come across as a minister, and it might be a reasonable question to ask if he’s capable of thinking like one.

    Best regards, Peter Warner.

  24. Yeah because we all know real Christians incite riots, make racial slurs, commit extortion, bear false witness and have blood on their hands.

    Fck you much Al.

  25. Have another 40 Al…
    He’s either had a serious stroke, or is s–t faced every time he gets behind a camera. Where on earth is this turd even being watched except for the White House gym…?

  26. Hey, “Reverend” Al Sharpton, was Jesus a racist? Well, was he? No.

    But that is you are first and foremost. You are obsessed with racism. You see racism in practically everybody you do not like.

    Please go away and clean up your act; you are the last person who should fault the Christianity of someone else.

  27. Poor Al thinks he can tell a fake Christian just because he is one.

    Thaks Peter. I think though that people need to drop the “Rev” Sharpton until he can produce some evidence he can support that disarming “certification.”

    It’s been nothing but a cheapy parody of an actual degree in anything. There are plenty of African-Americans of Sharpton’s generation who have real diplomas in real careers so he has no genuine excuse for not getting a real education and expertise. It got him a “title” that gave him enough of pass for his fast-talking purposes, with no actual requirements, work and best of all a very small fee.

    Sharpton is a self-organized “religious” charity so that money is supposed to always flow TO him, NOT away from him.

  29. Can’t believe MSLSD hired this guy.What a embarrasment,oh well they have no shame at all.

  30. This piece needs a rerun some of Jeremiah Wright’s Greatest Hits to place it in it’s proper context.

    Also, because I have referred to the need for adults of good will, and the parents who love their children, to close the Gates of Hell that had opened in Iraq, I have no room to talk about Rick Santorum’s imagery.

    That’s what we’re talking about, here. Rick Santorum is being accused of using christian imagery to make a point. Because I am a Liberal, I really do not think we need to go there.

  31. Thanks to the msdnc libs with white guilt we’ll be listening to this creep for years to come.

  32. Looks like ‘Tawanna’ converted to Islam and got herself all edumacated. No student loans to repay or squat.
    And she’s taught thousands of young black females just how to parlay a little hunger and feces smeared on their bodys to make sure whitey pays through the pocketbook ’til it hurts…..

    “Brawley (who now calls herself Maryam Muhammad) is all grown up.”

    Tawana Brawley goes to college

    then there’s this… her mamma din’ raise no fool, fool…….

    Lessons From A Witch Hunt [Rev'rund Al's incompetence continues]

    “Ms. Brawley’s accusations turned out not only to be a fabrication, but an obvious fabrication: At the time of her alleged abduction and rape, she was partying with classmates. And a witness reported seeing Ms. Brawley climb into the garbage bag herself. When the gig was up, Brawley (who now goes by the afro-Islamic name of Maryam Muhammad) skipped town, along with the US$300,000 “defence fund” that had been raised for her.”

    No report on how much Big Al’s cut was.

  33. Like most African Witch Doctors, this one is a fake, just like the “Reverend Doctor” Martin Luther the King, who plagiarized his dissertation. It’s just a way for Leftists/Marxists to deflect criticism. The American Communist Party told its operatives in the 50′s and 60′s to seek out black “reverends” to do their bidding because middle-class Whites would sheepishly fall in line and would feel more guilty if a “reverend” told them what to do. And so they do and so they have done for the whole of our 50 year cultural decline. We can blame the black “reverends” for much of it, maybe most of it.

    Sharpton is one of the absolute worst offenders. He is responsible for the murder of Yankl Rosenbaum, who is still dead even while the Good Rever-und Sharpton takes nice Caribbean beach vacations. Think Sharpton or any black American feels the slightest twinge of guilt over that? Naw, Holmes. They was disrespeck-in the bruthas down in Crown Heights, so someone gotta die. And if it’s some diamond merchant, what of it?

    How about the men whose careers and lives were broken by the Tawana Brawley lies? Many of them never got their careers back, and never got their reputations back. But who cares, right? They were nothin but White Men, and they don’t count at all in the eyes of Sharpton and the people who call him “reverend”. They just don’t matter or Sharpton would be in prison, where he belongs. One day, maybe we’ll learn. It’ll probably be too late when we do.

  34. If this thug is a reverend, then so is my dog.

    How does a racist get a TV show?

    How far down into the sewer will the media dig to “prove” that they are superior?

  35. If there’s the slightest doubt that the media has an agenda, just listen to this pig

  37. Psst hey Al,

    Me thinks you need to repent rather quickly. (like fast)

    Psalms 105:15
    “Do not touch my anointed ones; do my prophets no harm.”

  38. isn’t there some “imaginary racism” he can harp about? he does see a racist angle when you disagree with any of his far left talking points.

  39. Al Sharpton says President Obama is not a Christian.

    “And it was through that experience, working with pastors and laypeople, trying to heal the wounds of hurting neighborhoods, that I came to know Jesus Christ for myself and embrace him as my Lord and Savior.”- President Obama

    “Real Christians help heal people and help people. They don’t talk about it.” – Al Sharpton

  40. #37 Fairbro,

    Your dog isnt racist & much more of a reverend than not so Sharp ton

  41. Isn’t Rev Al the same person who helped Tawana Brawley cover up her lie about being attacked?

    Hey Al–when you point a finger at someone else in condemnation, you have 3 pointing back at yourself! Hypocrite!!!

  42. I think old Al needs to consider what Jesus said about loving your fellow Christians.

    http://bluecollarphilosophy.com/2012/02/jesus-love-for-the-disciples-means-he-would-not-support-obama-and-neither-should-you/

    Liberal policies put Christians in danger, that is not showing love towards other Christians. If Al or Obama were real Christians, then they would not be supporting a radical agenda that creates a bias against Christians.

    NO. After watching Martin Luther King answering questions put to him, he was the real deal. The interviews and speeches are there on Youtube, it’s easy to tell in 30 seconds flat that Sharpton and Jackson and the rest of them “Revs” remain unfit to have even walked King’s dog.

    They instead have followed the opposing Malcom X – argued brand of NOI racial animosity solution to civil rights injustices, and harbor the nasty attitude that Martin Luther King was an “Uncle Tom” just as they scramble to fight over his “mantle” so they can continue a lie about him.

  44. Yankel Rosenbaum was not available for comment.

  45. So says Rev. Shakedown Artist 2D2. (Jesse Jackson being the 1st.)

  46. “NO. After watching Martin Luther King answering questions put to him, he was the real deal”

    Only he wasn’t. Researchers hired to edit the King papers by Coretta King discovered that most of King’s academic work including that which he submitted in satisfaction of his coursework for his doctorate and including his dissertation were plagiarized from other works. Whole sections simply copied. Boston University has had to admit that this is true. Think they wanted to do that?

    Only they never revoked his doctorate. It’s an insult to everyone who ever gave 5 or 10 years of blood sweat and tears to earn the distinction of a doctoral credential. King got his by lying. Christian? Moral? I had a colleague who timed out on his dissertation and never received his PhD. At BU he could have just turned in AJP Taylor’s “The Habsburg Monarchy, 1808-1918″ and gotten his PhD. Oh, that’s right. He’s White so he would have had to EARN that degree instead of cheating and lying to obtain it. Silly me.

    If King was a Patriot, Christian, Republican Reverend, then why was he photographed at the Highlander Folk School? Built with Soviet and American Communist Party money, the Folk School was the Genesis of Alinsky-ite tactics in this country. There’s King, surrounded by Communist Party men and traitors. Republican?

    Last, why are Kings FBI and CIA files sealed until such time as anyone who could have seen them produced will be dead? This is a Republic of free people, or it was until King got a public holiday with his files sealed. Such secrecy and deception is the hallmark of tyrannies. I want to see those files and if they honestly show that his known Communist associates weren’t Soviet handlers, I’ll gleefully support King Day. Maybe even go see the Chi-Com-built monument in DC. Until King is dealt with the way every other American is including former POTUSes and the King files are subject to FOIA requests and searchable online I’ll continue believing the overwhelming evidence that he was in the pay of the Soviets, that he was a Communist, and that he was a fraud.

  47. I look forward, in the upcoming Civil War II, to learn that Al has been hung from a lamp post.

  48. dear al,

    how many people did that tawana brawley thing heal?

  49. I applaud controversial and offensive speech.

  50. Save yourself time. You wouldn’t find “GD America” in the Bible. In fact you won’t find, “America” anywhere in the Bible.

  51. “Their works speak for themselves.” That’s a two-way street there, Al. What have your works said about you, lately?

    I can believe he was heavily courted by the Left and the Soviets who were agressively courting in Africa at the time, too (Obama Sr. cribbed his dissertion straight out of SOviet “African Socialism” propaganda) Many of the African rebels usually declared Marxist, but Reagan was able to deal with them, and is to this day Reagan is very well-regarded by the rebels who went on to become presidents themselves.

    I refer again to the interviews and questions posed to him and King’s defense of a genuine Christian understanding of how to confront racism, and the denial of civil rights – confession, repentence, forgiveness. Since his remarks and ideology were constantly compared to Malcom X and Malcom X’s exposition of Nation of Islam violence, separation, reparations and no forgiveness, it does indeed come out in King’s own words that King did defend very well a far more constructive and more profoundly Christian solution that did not include a Left worldview.

    Even if what you say is true about him cribbing much of a Phd, he still had to have gotten that BA … still a better educated man, from a more serious family in all measures than Sharpton.

    The question is, despite an unpromising start, did his subsequent experience actually form a more sober and thoughtful person who began to understand more profoundly the stakes and the scope of the undertaking? I think so. It could have gone either way, but I think King chose the better.

    I also think NOI believe that too, because they have tried very hard to twist and change the message, and co-opt it and King for their movement.

  55. Can’t wait for the inevitable day that Al steps in it big time and MSNBC tries to suspend or fire him. Should be fun to watch as he circles 30 Rock with his rent-a-mob and his bull horn!

  56. wanumba @60 responded to Elector of Saxony @52:

    In a thoughtful manner. The information in Elector’s post is not in dispute, and there were other unseemly traits in Dr. King’s life.

    Just the same, listening to a recording of any of his sermons and speeches leaves me sobbing. Almighty God gifted that man with a mission of racial reconciliation, and he almost single-handedly lifted and lead an entire nation to rejecting racism, in a spirit of hope, praise and repentance, and not in bitterness. The man was a vehicle for the Holy Spirit to move a nation. Let us credit him for that, and not forget it.

    Best regards, Peter Warner.

    Yes, really. I do not care if it is not nice. Nice flew out the window in November, ’08, upon the election of a foreign-born, communist, muslim usurper, along with his vile, hate-filled, hate America, grifter wife.

    Our current situation is no little banal tug of war about the nuances of free speech; rather, the soul of our America is under relentless attack from truly evil, awful people.

    The Al Sharptons, and other professional race baiters, do not deserve “nice”. Just like cancer, these evil enemies of America must be crushed and overwhelmed by any and all possible means.
