The United Nations (UN) seems to have a dream of becoming the New Socliaist World Government.

According to an article in the Deseret News, the UN wants to impose a world wide tax so that they can give Social Services to the world’s poor:

“Inside the U.N., another group of civil society leaders demanded a basic level of social security as they promoted a “social protection floor” at a preparatory forum for the Commission on Social Development, which began Feb. 1.

The focus of the forum was “universal access to basic social protection and social services.”

“No one should live below a certain income level,” stated Milos Koterec, President of the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations. “Everyone should be able to access at least basic health services, primary education, housing, water, sanitation and other essential services.”

These services were presented at the forum as basic human rights equal to the rights of “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.”

The money to fund these services may come from a new world tax.

“We will need a modest but long-term way to finance this transformation,” stated Jens Wandel, Deputy Director of the United Nations Development Program. “One idea which we could consider is a minimal financial transaction tax (of .005 percent). This will create $40 billion in revenue.”

“It is absolutely essential to establish controls on capital movements and financial speculation,” said Ambassador Jorge Valero, the current Chairman of the Commission on Social Development. He called for “progressive policies of taxation” that would require “those who earn more to pay more taxes.”

Valero’s speech to the forum focused on capitalism as the source of the world financial problems.”

    Solution: Impose a massive tax on government.

    Damn this is brilliant. We can immediately impose:

    1. 50% Gross Income Government Worker Wage “Claw-Back” Tax: These folks are being paid twice the private sector, by taxes waged on the private sector. It’s only fair to reciprocate.

    2. 20% Inefficiency Tax: Almost every government program is phenomenally inefficient, laden with waste, lazy workers, overpaid contractors, etc. Apply this 20% across the board tax which effectually takes the allocation out of every budget, reducing it to approximately 4/5 its prior size. Let the government programs decide if they want to tighten the belt, work harder, or do with less under the same deliverable requirements.

    3. Federal aviation ticketing fees: You and I pay taxes every time we fly, but Barack and Michelle Obama, along with Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and other government elites, fly all the damn time and don’t pay a dime. Worse yet, they’re not flying coach nor even first class… they’re flying private charter. $1000/hour per passenger for government charter flights, billable either out of your wages or to your political party.

    4. Regulation word tax: The CRS recently announced we had so many regulations that it could no longer track them all, including over 10,000 that led to criminal punishment for the offenders. You are almost certainly guilty of something right now, if we only dig deep enough in the code. Each legislative word submitted in bills and resolutions costs $100, assessed the moment it’s passed, by those who vote for or abstain. That Obamacare bill ya’all passed? Yea… them words alone will help pay down the deficit.

    Another idea is to eliminate all funding of the UN and return it to it’s original intention of simply being a place for countries to talk.

Allowing an organization that is out to destroy this country a seat to do their dirty deed, along with supporting it with our taxpayer dollars is beyond all comprehension. Life, liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness will never come from a one world government lead by the United Nations. All they have to offer is poverty, despair, and a world without God. How can an outlook like that be attractive to anybody with an ounce of brains.

    social protection floor = a policy of economic distribution and social justice, not unlike those policies being pursued by the current U.S. Administration.

    basic social protection and social services = inadequate or non-existent service models that provide funding via financial entities capable of being siphoned for personal use.

    life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness = a deeply relevant and patriotic rubric that is to be used as a banner for all forms of fraud covered by the Commission on Social Development umbrella.

    Is it possible that the current Administration will support this effort?

    Missy, It depends on whether a treaty trumps the Constittution or not. Obama is certainly pushing for gun control and internet control through the UN.

    The UN served a purpose during the Cold War, at least until Nixon got us talking directly with the Soviets on multiple levels. Since then its primary function has been to provide a free ticket to the US and a nice salary with good benefits to the family members and cronies of third world dictators and despots.

    People have noted they are taking up prime real estate that could be used productively. But the building is old and would have to come down in one of those controlled demolitions. We should do it immediately, preferably when the General Assembly is in session – giving our closest allies just enough of a heads-up to get their people out.
