Rick Santorum Clarifies Remarks on Obama’s “Phony Theology”; Says He Wasn’t Questioning His “Faith” (Video)

Rick Santorum on CBS News’ “Face the Nation” today where he was asked what he meant about his remarks yesterday that described Barack Obama’s agenda as being driven by a “phony theology – not a theology based on the Bible.”

Rick said he wasn’t questioning his faith.

Even though it’s early days and there’s no need to panic (yet), I’m shocked at how every single Republican candidate has made unforced error after unforced error, making it that much more likely that Obama will be reelected.

The GOP needs to be hitting Obama on the economy, on his unconstitutional power grabs, on the fact that USDA inspectors are now confiscating the lunches of kindergarteners, on his crony capitalism, on his utterly corrupt Department Justice, etc.

This election was a gimmie, but the GOP is living up to its reputation as the Stupid Party. Santorum is now–because of his own statements–being forced to spend all his time clarifying his social views. When you’re clarifying, you’re losing.

I question his faith. Why is it, we’re supposed to believe everything this man says, and see nothing he does? He is not a Christian. Rick Santorum made himself appear weak with this. Does he really think the acts of Obama show Christianity? For heavens sake people, forget about what this lying demon says, look at what he does. He’s a Christian like Ted Bundy was a gentleman. I’m getting sick and tired of having these lies shoved down my throat. I’m supposed to see nothing, but believe what I’m being told? I have the God given ability to reason.

I’m also being told he’s saved and created millions of jobs, he’s lowered the debt, and it’s all Bush’s fault. I’m a thinking human being. I’m not going to watch my church be assaulted and than be asked to swallow that this liar is a Christian. I’m not going to take this anymore. It’s adding insult on top of injury. If he was smart, he would have told them to ask Obama. He should have also said, that Christians don’t go to churches where their so called Pastor, Priest, Minister, etc. is screaming “God damn America.” Now I’m to believe that’s Christian. It is not about real issues (such as numbers and statistics) but rather anal-yzing each others grammar!

The US economy is bleeding out percentages of it every year, but those guys are busy anal-yzing each others sentences because they are not PC-acceptable enough.

These are not the issues that will determine the outcome of the election. Those issues are unemployment skyrocketing energy costs, and Obama policies regarding those issues.

Santorum is playing a fool, talking about issues that are important to us, but fringe for the vast majority of the electorate. As long as Santorun is defending accusation and innuendoes regarding social issues from the liberal press, Obama is NOT having to defend his horrendous economic record.

If anything, Santorum should have defended his original remarks instead of walking them back. Instead, now he has adopted the wishy-washy stance of the previous loser, McCain, who would not even mention Barack Hussein Obama by his full name.

Look, gasoline is likely to be 5$ a gallon by November, and we may really have a chance to win this thing. If Obama is talking about more freebies to the 99% and soaking the rich, corporate bankster 1%-ers and our guy is talking about condoms, we will lose the Presidency, the House, and we’ll be an insignificant minority in the Senate, unable to sustain a filibuster. Can you imagine? Obama could then just increase the number of the Supreme Court justices to 20 and appoint the Harvard Law faculty to the Court. We couldn’t stop him. In recent days Obama and HHS think that they can mandate contraception to the Catholic church. Unconstitutional.

Obama has taken his beliefs and mandate a law to the Catholic Church. I realize economy and gas prices and housing market and XL pipeline and health care, borders.

But Obama has broken our Constitution. I have been surprise no reaction from more leaders. I posted above 45 including Rush and Breitbart above.

We live in dangerous times but this is A PRESIDENT GOING AGAINST THE CONSTITUTION.

Now, moral values matter to me and without morality and character we will have another Obama. Our choices are clear, one of candidates on the right or Obama.

There are a few factors that we seem to be forgetting, 20 Years in a Racially radical Church. Promoting hatred for the White Government and GD America.

I thought Santorum answered well. Shifty Sheaffer was asking questions in a tone designed to set Rick up as a religious extremist , and Rick managed to put Sheaffer on the defensive with the stillborn baby remark.
