Obama Promises Dems to Keep Boot on Neck of Catholic Church

Birth control from your church is a natural human right.

Barack Obama promised fellow democrats today in a closed door meeting that he would continue to keep his boot on the neck of the Catholic Church of America.
ABC News reported, via Weasel Zippers:

President Obama “reinforced” his stance on the controversial contraception mandate while speaking at the Democrats’ annual retreat at Nationals Park in Washington, D.C. today, Senate Democrats said.

The retreat was closed to media.

Following President Obama’s speech at the retreat, a small group of Senate Democrats, mostly women, left the retreat early in order to hold a news conference on Capitol Hill to counter the Republicans’ news conference today at which they called for the mandate to be overturned.

Democrats said they will “fight strongly” to keep the mandate in place.

That’s right. Democrats promised to “fight strongly” because free birth control and abortion pills from the church is a natural human right.

To change the Constitution it would have to be ratified by the majority of the States. Somebody here might know the correct number.

But what barry is doing is an end around of the Constitution. By enacted this into law he is telling Catholic Providers that if they want to stay in operation they have to comply. But the conscience of the Church would not allow them to provide contraception and abortion. So they would forced to close their hospitals.

Any faith that lacks external manifestations is false, and Christians must “not give others to understand, because of their passivity … that they do not hold their faith to be the most important thing in their lives”2. Obama’s and Pelosi’s eager exploitation proves that Catholic-lite is not helpful in the witness and apostolate departments.

Regardless of how Catholics voted in 2008, they probably didn’t anticipate having to choose between unjust government policies and their faith. Although it may not seem so, such a choice is a gift — a gift of the opportunity to visibly demonstrate one’s convictions and faith. It is an opportunity that, if courageously taken, will accrue interest in the soul bank and be of incorruptible benefit. As Pope Pius XI said, “[l]et us thank God that he makes us live among the present problems. It is no longer permitted to anyone to be mediocre.” Catholics, now is your chance. An incredible opportunity has presented itself: the opportunity of witness.

The “Free” comes from the Obama administration mandating that insurance provide contraception at no additional charge.

Unless you’re paying your own way, you are expecting your employer to subsidize your birth control. Personally, I believe everyone should have to pay for their own contraception since it’s not preventing or curing a disease. Expecting your employer to subsidize your “worry free” sex life is beyond the pale.

Did your church, or your national church organization, sign the documents to apply for 501(c)(3) status, or a similar Internal Revenue Code provision? Take a look at the terms and conditions under which such status is granted or revoked. You might want to think twice about the COST of being tax-exempt.

It brings to mind Nazi Germany, Gypsies, and the mentally challenged. At what point does sterilization cease to be performed on a voluntary basis? “We have to pass the bill to know what’s in it.” I think Pelosi, et al knew damned well what was in it, and I’m thinking the rest of us had better hurry up and read the entire 2,000 pages. And if anyone thinks enforced sterilization is beyond the pale, how about “comfort care” for those over seventy (in lieu of life-saving/life-extending options like a pacemaker), and how about those nifty little markers to be inserted under one’s skin? What do we expect from a president and party who don’t care about the Constitution and the Bill of rights except when it will work in their favor or they can twist the words to do so? What we are seeing is the result of people who have been infiltrating churches for the last 50-60 years and working to get people to see the word of God as outdated and not meant for our modern circumstances, who now are doing the same with the Constitution. The Constitution requires ratification by three-fourths of the states. That is 38 (rounding down is not permitted). However, for Obama it should be 43 — three-fourths of 57.

If so, it’s still demanding too much considering I’ve never had health insurance that covered birth control. NEVER. If I were a man with a scrip of Viagra, on the other hand, I would have had to pay only my copay for the pills. But birth control has not be covered by any policy I had through any employer. Not even one of ‘em.

You still have no idea who you are dealing. NObama does not plan to become President of the United States. He plans on becoming the first king of the world. But while he’s at it, he’s bringing down America to align it with Canada & Mexico into the North American Union.
