The Knights of Columbus, the world’s foremost Catholic fraternal benefit society, just happened to release a television ad this year for President’s Day reminding Americans that we have One Nation Under God.
Gee, do you think this message was created in response to President Obama’s recent attack on religious freedom?
A powerful new Knights of Columbus commercial recalls the enduring trust in God that has defined our country.
The ad will air nationally between Feb. 17 and 20.

Yes! We all know that Obama does not stand on the shoulders of our GREAT presidents. He is pretty special, isn’t he? In love with all things anti-American and anti-Judeo-Christian. OBAMA-One Big Awful Mistake, America.
Swifty commented:
It’s pretty sad when any religious organization has to have its hard to come by funds diverted from needed programs to point out something that has been a given until this jerk took office.
Obama is a damn disgrace.

Good for them. I was taught that the phrase “under God” was added to the Pledge of Allegiance in response to the Communist theory that the State is God, or more precisely in their terms, the State replaces the God used to oppress the unwashed masses.
In the Pledge, the phrase “under God” emphasizes that the State is essentially an agreement among men about how they will handle matters between themselves. It has no power to affect a person’s relationship with God. A person’s right to believe in and worship God (or not) is superior to the State’s right to affect his life.
Our red diaper baby of a President sees this limit on the powers of the State as a flaw. Poor baby, he never learned to think critically for himself.
Lady Mondegreen commented:
This’ll be about as effective as one of Gerald Ford’s WIN buttons (remember those?) I’ll leave “under God” for God to decide, but we’re looking pretty divisible these days, especially on the right. This is just preaching to the choir. We need something that will convince those who don’t already agree with us.

Yes, during the Eisenhower administration. And, the Democrats have been trying to purge it from the Pledge ever since.

An obvious coincidence. With the emphasis on “obvious”.

You’ve convinced me we’re going down the wrong path if we agree with you.

I have to say this, Chills. You don’t mess with America and never tick off the Knights of Columbus.
Thank God for these patriots. Finally, more patriots are coming out and making a stand.

Without the foundation of the Ten Commandments as derived from God, expressly by name, the US Constitution has no authority.
THAT is why the athiests are attacking religion, to cut the legs out from under Constitution, which is “an impediment” to “change”.
Campfollower commented:
It almost makes me cry, that the next generations might not learn these wonderful things about our country, that the Democrats want to kill all that greatness, that they’ve lost their past leadership like JFK who still believed in it.
Caroline Kennedy sent me an e-mail by the way last week (I’m on Obama’s campaign mailing list) yet again supporting this twisted, anti-American administration. It’s so disturbing that she’s so far from where her father stood, that all her schooling has still created a blind partisan who cannot distinguish between liberty and the monarchical socialist currently residing in the People’s house. So sad.
Knight for Obama commented:
Good to see the KofC wasting my dues money yet again (1.4 million on prop 8 for starters). It’s this type of political BS (as you have all said this has nothing to do with the fact that we are a nation and planet under God, and everything to do with this being some kind of underhanded attack on Obama) that is going to make me think about not going to KofC meetings and events, only pay my dues and insurance, and join the Freemasons (at least they don’t talk about politics in their meetings).
Bill Murray commented:
Absolutely perfect advertisement. Thanks all you Knights of Columbus.
The anti-religion: “atheism” has only mental defects, perverts and liars. If they were honest they would say as agnostics do that they do not know if God exists.
Faith alone can know God, lack of faith leaves only an honest position of “I do not know.”
It is impossible to know there is no God. There is no possible way to know that, except by lying to oneself for other motives.
