Obviously, the audience was not impressed with Rick Santorum’s defense of earmarks.
In this day and age defending earmarks is bad politics.

  1. Tone deaf?

    Or just a dork?

  2. It is painfully obvious the audience is stacked with Romney supporters. When they introduced all 4 Romney got the loudest cheers.

is there any way you could post something
POSITIVE about any of the candidates GP??

    thank you..

or how about a post pointing out the blatant hypocrisy of Ron Paul??

    thanks again..

  5. Santorum was right, and the audience was flummoxed because they couldn’t understand his comments fast enough to cheer or boo them… they missed the opportunity.

Blanket condemnation of earmarks is silly. It’s corruption, not earmarks, that is the problem.

  6. is there any way you could post something
POSITIVE about any of the candidates GP??

    This is positive.

There’s no need to guess or spin with Santorum – people know exactly where he stands on the issue of earmarks.

  7. Clearly this is a debate is designed to gang up against the conservative Santorum… but he’s doing great… IMO… he’s really taking Romney on…

    Blacque Jacques Shellacque

oh yes, and i for one appreciate his HONESTY..

  9. We would have built a barrier on our southern border forty years ago that rivals the Great Wall of China is most of the people slipping across the border were potential Republicans.

  10. Cool… Sheriff Arpaio is in the audience… and guess who’s the man Arpaio might be rooting for….

Sheriff Joe briefs Santorum on Obama probe‘As a matter of fairness in case he wouldn’t want me to support him’

  11. JoeCollege LOLOL if only illegal immigrants were coming to vote Republican! :-) We’d already have moats and alligators on the border. Right past the mine fields and the electric fence. And the electric eels, in the first moat. And the electric “anti immigration” laser robots.

Heck, if illegal immigrants came here to vote Republican, we’d have special operations teams pursuing them throughout Mexico like Blacque Jacques Pershing chased Pancho Villa. We’d have democrats passing out condoms and morning after pills all the way down to Honduras, just to prevent the next generation of Republican voters from being born.. :-)

  13. Folks, not all earmarks are bad. If states could keep most of their money instead of funneling it to Washington, there would not be any need for earmarks. This is one tool used to get some of the money back to the states which should have been left there in the first place.

  14. Doesn’t ever occur to liberals that Iran might attack us instead of Israel?

  15. It’s corruption, not earmarks, that is the problem.

Seems to me that the presence of earmarks is what brings out the corruption, or factors into it.

  16. What did we just have in Libya? Wasn’t that war? We bombed the sh*t out of them for months and nobody especially cared. But liberals are all so aghast about bombing the Iran capability.

  17. How can contraception be the one and only issue of this year’s election? The media is leading the DNC’s mis-direction play and that’s all they debate lately.

The economy is running on fumes and the administration is saying un-employment is a good thing.

Iran is about to blow, and the POTUS is at a party singing.

Oh yeah, have you noticed the price of gas?
