    Illiniguy, I remember listening to Hubert Humphrey speak. Liberal gas bag indeed. But the sad thing is that Humphrey, compared to Biden, was an erudite font of wisdom.

    How sad it is to see the utter collapse of the Dem party. At the very least, in the old days, they could offer up a cogent argument, even when they took the wrong side of the issue.

    With all the ha ha aside, I actually attended this speech. The guy sleeping was a community college student. They had them wait there for about 45 minutes before the first person ever spoke. Most of the speeches were short, however Biden’s was fairly long considering the intended message. I caught myself yawning a few times. It was the same thing being said over and over. I don’t support Biden, however I do support education through community colleges. Over than the obvious and indirect “vote Obama”, there was a good clear message about how important college education is.

    The idea that there are lots of jobs waiting to be filled but can’t because of skill training is false. Any employer that wants to refill his workforce will provide training for job specific skills. They hesitate because of Equal opportunity selection criteria, Obamacare, unemployment, union rules, etc. Release the employerand he will go back to work
