Newt to Run Full Page New Hampshire Ad Against Moderate Mitt Romney

Newt’s New Hampshire ad points to Mitt Romney’s moderate record.

After being pummeled by Mitt Romney in Iowa, Newt Gingrich will hit back in New Hampshire.
The AP reported:

After weathering a full-on assault in Iowa, Newt Gingrich and his allies planned Tuesday to hit back hard at rival Mitt Romney as the Republican presidential campaign pushed east.

The first salvo was a full-page ad in the New Hampshire Union Leader that was to appear as Gingrich touched down in the state early Wednesday. It labels the former House speaker a “Bold Reagan Conservative” and Romney a “Timid Massachusetts Moderate.”

Campaigning in Iowa hours before the first-in the nation caucuses get under way Tuesday night, Gingrich said his campaign will put up television ads in New Hampshire, South Carolina and Florida – the next three states to vote – that aggressively contrast his record with Romney’s. And at least one pro-Gingrich super PAC was getting into the mix.

At least Newt can say he balanced the federal budget under a Democrat president with a Democrat Senate. I don’t think it’s been balanced since.

Newt has some carry on baggage, but Romney has some major gun grabbing, baby killing, tax raising, healthcare mandate baggage that won’t fit in your overhead compartment.

I ask everyone here to google the Massachussets state tax form and see if you could navigate that mess. It’s all because of Romney’s health scam.

Newt’s decline is NOT because of the negative ads. They played ONLY in Iowa yet he shows the same decline NATIONALLY. Grow up Newt and stop being a whiny baby.

  • Lady Mondegreen

Newt hasn’t got a snowball’s chance in hell. And so much for not going negative.

  • Matt

Do any of you remember Reagan’s 11th commandment?

I am very happy that none of you do.

  • Craig

GOOD! That will help Ron Paul who is in strong second place after Romney in NH.

  • Ladue Pundit

Let’s see, Dick Gephardt won in Iowa, so did Huckabee. yawn.

A Willard GOP ticket will assure Barry a second term.
    Game- set- match.
    It’s that simple.

  • J Craig

Romney is a snae Ron Paul. He is two faced, weak, and lacks credibility, but he is sane. Newt has some strong points but he will do what is best for Newt. He is the standard issue DC politician. Yes he did balance the budget but allowed Clinton way to much. He failed on too many levels, especially failing to impelment his fine “plan” to restore America and the Constitution.

I would hold my nose and vote for Newt, which I wouldn’t do for Romney or Paul.

I would rather kiss Mochelle than vote for either of these two liarers.

By the way I see Craig still is advertising the results of a childhood abusing crak.

  • Bob Buoy

Hey Matt – of course we do but the reality is the Obama machine will have its attack machine put these intra-party attack ads to shame.

Also I love Reagan but please stop the naive childish adoration. The truth is Reagan did have attack ads and used that quote late in his political career. Please do some research and stop taking the talking points from Sean/Levin/Rush.

Matt, #4. “Thou shalt not speak ill of another Republican.” Ronald Reagan.

    Is that it?

    Thomas Sowell via Rush Limbaugh

Rush reads a great article by Thomas Sowell, putting into perspective what
is at stake in 2012 and why the hyperventilation over Newt’s tabloid past
doesn’t consider the future of our nation.

Of course, all’s fair in love, war, and politics, and there are times when the gloves have to come off. I want a candidate who will attack Zero’s policies and his war on America. Mittens will not do that as they are like-minded in too many ways.

  • Redpillpatriot

Both of them are socialist progressives and they can both go to HELL! I’m for Bachman, Santorum, or Paul.

bg = nice try but follow the TRENDS not the snapshots…

“..consider, in early December, Gingrich was at 37 percent nationally in the Gallup Tracking Poll. The latest Gallup numbers at the end of December have him at 24 percent — a drop of 13 percentage points.
His declining support nationally is similar to his dive in Iowa. Yet the negative ads aired only in Iowa. This raises serious doubts that they caused Gingrich’s fall from grace in the Gallup Tracking Poll.”

No matter what the outcome in Iowa is. Gingrich is the only one who can defeat Obama.

Boy, you must be loving Speaker Boehner. Newt was blamed for “shutting down the government” yet he took on the WH and senate. You can’t implement a “fine plan” by controlling one half the legislature. A lying media and a moronic voting public made things worse.

He’s not my absolute hero, but Mittens cannot take on Obama in a debate. Hell, he couldn’t take me on in a debate.

The worst thing about Gingrich is his wife. She needs to stay home.

  • gee!

  • Bob Buoy

yeah – he shut down the govt because he couldn’t sit in the front of the plane…waaahh. He is also quoted in Dick Armey’s book..” I melt when i am around him” when speaking about Clinton. It got so bad armey had to go with him for every meeting with clinton. And as for the “strong debater” – recall his debate a few years ago against John Kerry to debate Global Warming. Kerry was all set to argue when newt conceded all points..big solutions, big govt..blah blah. Kerry threw his notes away and said how proud he was of newt for joining their side.

  • Bob Buoy

for those skeptical about newt and want to know more, here is the link and quote from the newt-kerry debate…

Gingrich began first with a concession to his opponent. Holding the new book by Kerry and his wife, Teresa Heinz Kerry, Gingrich said, “This is a very good book. As a clearly right-wing reader, I would commend the book” as one that shows examples of local leadership on environmental issues.
