Unbelievable… Just unbelievable…

(LA Weekly)
It was just last week that an #Occupy LA protester was arrested for masturbating on the steps of City Hall. Now the squatters are getting their own private office building.
Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa has decided to award the lawlessness, lewd acts, shoplifting and drug use of the Occupy LA squatters. He just offered the hooligans 10,000 square feet of downtown office space and farmland for $1-a-year.
The LA Times reported:
Los Angeles officials have offered Occupy L.A. protesters a package of incentives that includes downtown office space and farmland in an attempt to persuade them to abandon their camp outside of City Hall, according to several demonstrators who have been in negotiations with the city.
The details of the proposal were revealed Monday during the demonstration’s nightly general assembly meeting by Jim Lafferty, an attorney with the National Lawyers Guild who has been advocating on behalf of the protest since it began seven weeks ago.
Lafferty said city officials have offered protesters a $1-a-year lease on a 10,000-square-foot office space near City Hall. He said officials also promised land elsewhere for protesters who wish to farm, as well as additional housing for the contingent of homeless people who joined the camp.
A spokesman for the mayor would not comment on the proposal, saying only: “We are in negotiations with organizers of Occupy L.A.”
This won’t end well.

I live near LA and I can tell you Villaraigosa is the scum of the earth. He is just like Obama. He ALWAYS goes against the will of the people. He LOVES sanctuary cities and his illegals. Oh, and by the way, he is a Demonrat. Enough said. Anti American hater is all you need to know.

What’s next? They going to offer al-qaeda office space as long as they promise to only attack people outside of LA?

So what did the mayor of LA give the LA Tea Party? A sweet lease on land and office space like this one, or a bill for renting the park and the having police protection?
And what are these goons going to do with office space besides trash it? What kind of idiot is this mayor anyway?

What a great idea! Let them make a little utopia and let the rest of America watch!

Do they have a dollar? They will probably fight over who is going to pay, then this idiot mayor will let them have it for a penny.
Then they will demand office furniture, computers, phones, faxes, etc etc etc for this office space.
They will demand farm implements, fertilizer (organic only, puh-leaze), seeds, plants, and migrant workers for the farmland.
Can this mayor NOT see where this is going?!
Bill Mitchell commented:
Unfreakenbelievable. So, all you need to do is sh*t on the steps of the Capitol and you get almost free office space for a year? Awesome. It’s the new economy.

If I remember correctly, the Socialist Left tried the commune thing back in the ’80s. They were quickly abandoned since none of the hippies knew squat about farming, their microwaves kept breaking and insects kept eating what little produce they could grow.

This is simply another attempt by the hard-core political left – including the Mayor of LA – to sustain this “grass roots movement”, until closer to the election, all while trying to convince sane people everywhere that, because you did not see this reported on the evening news, or read it in the LA Times, IT DIDN’T HAPPEN, WING-NUT !!!
“These are not the left-wing Anti-American loons you are looking for Mr. Galt. Please move along now, before we have to arrest you.”

Office space for what? BM storage? Garden space for what? A place to grow vegetables using the office space supply of manure? Honestly this is insane! Those strange Mexicali “roses” are blooming in downtown LA! How in heaven’s name does any of this free space and farmland make sense? Those people are illegals, anarchists, free-loaders and derelicts. Good Lord!! LA’s skyline (with that one tall bldg in the center) for quite some time has looked like it is giving the rest of country the middle finger.

#OWS has set the bar for a new level of astroturfing.
Never before has such a movement been paid for, directed, resourced, and compelled to support imperial hegemony. We’ve mocked the handfuls that Saddam and Qaddafi would drag out to counter-protest, but the fascist-loving loyalty of the #OWS movement is unlike that any western nation has ever seen since Weimar.
Incidentally, it’s time for every alternate group to demand their free property and buildings from LA, and sue when it’s not promptly provided. Bankrupt that dead city.

The 3rd qtr GDP number released today stinks. But it didn’t even make the front pages because the majors are pumping the ‘failure’ of the Supercommittee. This choice bit of misinformation by the media advances the narrative that the economy is the Republicans’ fault.
The American people are being gamed. It’s not the fault of the public that they are being gamed. There is a virtual solid wall of disinformation confronting them. It is nearly seamless. It IS the culture. Nobody tells them to read blogs like this. They are busy leading their lives and providing for their families.

Sounds like a plan to me, shut down productive farmers over a minnow and give good farmland to city hippies. This should turn out well…
We have GOT to start shouting for a bill that expressly forbids a single penny of federal money to bail out cities and states engaging in this type of fiscal madness. If what we have coming down the pike doesn’t kill our economic engine this kind of stuff most certainly will.
dwd commented:
The Tea Party people in LA had damn well better be asking for the same thing, whether they want it or not. First, Tea Partiers are forced to pay for permits to hold rallies where they clean up every bit of their own trash while Occupiers illegally squat (and literally take squats) for free, and now Occupiers get this sweet deal? It’s nationwide discrimination, and somebody needs to stand up and say NO MORE.

Perhaps Villaraigosa was expecting something like this and took steps to make sure they couldn’t “occupy” his house.
We should still be talking about how the most anti border fence mayor in America needed to apply for a variance to build an extra tall fence around his own property.
RickS commented:
I assume the mayor is going to offer the Tea Party the same deal?

Why can’t you leave?
During the Great Depression, masses of people packed up and WALKED TO CALIFORNIA, even from the east coast, just to get jobs. Even those (ESPECIALLY THOSE, DAMMIT) with families.
Do what you have to do. Texas is doing okay, and it’s three states away.

And whose going to be policing this building, since it will be private property and unless someone calls a cop won’t be coming to anyone’s rescue in case some woman is being raped, or worse, murdered? Now, don’t you think that it would have been a good idea for someone to have done something orderly, legally, ethically, by offering the land to farmers who might be out of work, someone who might be looking to buy some farmland to start a small farm? Did some of the protesters tell the mayor’s office that they sure wished the mayor would give them some land so they could grow the food that could be fed to the protesters, maybe next year when the crop comes in, if it comes in? That the Hippies wanted to start a “Commune” so they could be like their grandparents back in the 60′s? And is Villaraigosa saying that L.A. doesn’t need the rent money from this ten thousand square foot building?
What student on the street protesting would want more than some land so he could go into farming. Yeah, right, in California where some of the people care more about some little fish or lizards or something that would stop the irrigation of that land? Okay!
