#Occupy Wall Street to Cut Benefit Album – With Rich Lefty Singers & Michael Moore

Occupy Wall Street plans to release an album to benefit the movement. Already far left 1%’ers Jackson Browne, Third Eye Blind, Crosby & Nash, Devo, Lucinda Williams have agreed to participate on the album. The homeless drummers from Zuccotti Park will also be included on the album.
Oh, and 1%er Michael Moore is going to sing on the album, too!

Occupy Wall Street has a benefit album planned with Jackson Browne, Third Eye Blind, Crosby & Nash, Devo, Lucinda Williams and even some of those drummers who kept an incessant beat at Manhattan’s Zuccotti Park.
Participants in the protest movement said Wednesday that “Occupy This Album,” which will be available sometime this winter, will also feature DJ Logic, Ladytron, Warren Haynes, Toots and the Maytals, Mike Limbaud, Aeroplane Pageant, Yo La Tengo and others.
Activist filmmaker Michael Moore is also planning to sing.
Jason Samel, a musician who is putting together the disc, said the goal is to raise between $1 million and $2 million to help fuel the movement that is protesting income disparity.
“It’s really going to be an amazing help for years to come,” Samel said.
Money raised will go through the nonprofit Alliance for Global Justice. The initial plan is that half of the proceeds will go to the New York movement that was based in Zuccotti Park until being kicked out last week, and the other half to offshoots across the world who apply for specific projects, he said.
There’s a long history of benefit albums, from George Harrison’s “Concert for Bangla Desh” that raised millions for flood victims through Unicef in 1971, and the “We Are the World” single in the 1980s, which raised more than $60 million for famine relief in Africa.
Amnesty International also announced Wednesday that it will put on sale in January a 75-song set of Bob Dylan covers by various artists to benefit the human rights organization.
The Occupy Wall Street album will be available in digital form first, with plans for a physical CD still unclear.
The music will generally be a mixture of live cuts and new songs. Third Eye Blind, for example, has already posted its song, called “If There Ever Was a Time,” which specifically addresses the protest movement.

2) Expect virtually NONE of the proceeds to go to OWS. Expect virtually ALL of the proceeds to go to the record executives and producer. It stuns me that the Left haven’t learned this lesson yet.

And you all can rest assured that as much as 5% of the gross reciepts will be used to directly benefit the intended recipients. The other 95% will, of course, be used to cover overhead expenses such as, rent & hotel charges (at $700/night), office supplies (new ipads, laptops, etc), travel expenses (flying first class), and the 6-figure salaries of their leadership … you know, to keep the movement going and all.

Even the Russian’s kept the rich, and powerful people around because Communism is such a joke and a lie. It tells it’s followers that it represents “equality” for everyone, and “fairness” for everyone, but it’s end result is enslavement for everyone outside the government, and the wealthy. The rich in Russia still enjoy all the benefits they had before, with some hassle from the government, like, they aren’t completely free of the government because of their money. The rich have a purpose and that is to use their financial power to make loans to the government and make sure they get their money back.
A government cannot generate it’s own wealth because it makes nothing, and creates nothing. So making laws and regulation does not create it’s own wealth. It’s nothing without somebody with a lot of money. Somebody else’s money is the only way a government can even exist, without somebody else’s money the Communists would be just somebodies opinion with no force behind it at all. It just can’t take over and do all that it does and not compensate everyone who is helping it get done all that it would have to do in order to hold the people hostage. Unless in a modern age everyone who are helping the government would be sharing the spoils from oppressing the people, like, just go in to some business and help yourself, or go to somebodies nice house and throw them out and take all they have for yourself. No, that doesn’t happen because they might get away with it for awhile, but eventually they would run into somebody who wasn’t going to cooporate and they would get their butts shot off.
No, the people who help the Communists get paid with money. Even the protesters were getting something for nothing, by being able to walk into cafe’s and resturants and get food for free. But you see how long that lasted, not long at all. So if this were a real “revolution” like the Occupier’s said it was, eventually happened a hell of a lot sooner than later, and the resturant owners ran the bums out of his place of business. Of course the poor little tity babies hassled everyone who were going to the resturant to pay for what they wanted.
Now, if the handlers of the Occupier’s were real Communists, they would share most of all the money they make off of the album with the Occupier’s. Aren’t they the ones who are doing all the work? Aren’t they the ones who are having to deal with the cops at ground level? Aren’t they the one’s who are getting sprayed with pepper spray? Well, since the protesters on the street are the ones doing all the work then why aren’t they getting the lions share off of this album? Hummmm? I think that those who are putting this thing together need to think about who it was that made it possible for them to even have anything to even put on an album about? The Occupier’s!!! You mean Michael Moore is going to get even more money for just showing up to bellow like a dieing cow, and the filthy Occupier on the street sitting in his own do-do won’t get a dime?

This is great news! If they make some money, they are going to have to find a place to park it, which means they have to incorporate, which means there will be an entity with money that can be sued for various cities’ expenses for “hosting” these demonstrations.
By the way, crimes such as theft, assault, and rape are also civil torts. That is, a person who has been harmed because OWS moved in and created a nuisance can also sue them for money as well as be a witness in the criminal case!

song of the south …….You probably know Lucinda’s work more as a songwriter than a recording artist. As a writer, her body of work is unbelievable. Mary Chapin Carpenter’s “Passionate Kisses” was written by Lucinda. Essence is a song that will absolutely give you chills. Combine the minor key of the song and Lucinda’s smoky voice and you’ll not soon forget this well produced, absolutely gripping recording.
