Obama Administration Warns Israel on Consequences of Iran Military Strike

Defense Secretary Leon Panetta warned Israel today about the global economic consequences of a military strike on Iran.
FOX News reported:
Defense Secretary Leon Panetta said ahead of a meeting Friday with Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak that he would warn his Israeli counterpart about the global economic consequences of a military strike on Iran’s nuclear program, adding that he still favors sanctions and diplomacy over a strike.
“To go beyond (sanctions and diplomacy) raises our concerns about the unintended consequences that could result. … There are going to be economic consequences to that, that could impact not just on our economy but the world economy,” Panetta told those travelling with him to Halifax, Canada.
Some Republican lawmakers are complaining the Obama administration is sending a schizophrenic message to Iran and the region. On one hand, it is projecting that the Pentagon now has 30,000-pound bunker-buster bombs capable of striking an underground WMD program and selling smaller bunker busters to Iran’s neighbors such as the United Arab Emirates.
Yet officials are warning about the dire implications of a military strike.

On one hand, the Obama administration is backing #OWS radicals who want to eliminate the global Jewish bankers in a connection with Obama’s radical associations and beliefs. On the other, we’re worried about an economy run by the Jewish bankers. Perhaps this is the difference between progressives and communists, where the former believes we can gradually eliminate the undesirables while the latter cleans house in a single sweep.

For Panetta to warn Israel openly, tells me that the strike is not only coming, but coming soon. I don’t think there is much doubt of that. I also don’t think that Israel will give Obama a heads up, considering Obama’s open hatred for both Bibi and Israel. Israel CAN’T WAIT, unless they want a mushroom cloud over Jerusalem. G-D bless Israel.

Lots of talk about Israel launching a one shot strike but if Iran strikes first their counter strike will not likely be conventional weapons and it is estimated that they have 200 nukes.Even if they just take out 20 targets that would leave them with enough to deter any other country from taking advantage of the chaos. Mecca would be the next target if they went out fighting. In just hours Cairo, Alexandria, Beirut, and Damascus would be smoking holes. Do not think for one second that they would call on the UN for help until they had no bombs left.

Even with a nuke, Iran will not strike first. Thirteen years ago, similar claims were made regarding Pakistan attacking India. It was nonsense then and it is nonsense now.

Has anyone bothered to warn Obama on the consequences of harassing Israel less than a year before a national election? Particularly in regards to Israel facing a nation that has repeatedly vowed to wipe it off the face of the Earth?
How wrong-headed can this dumbass be? Even Arab nations that despise Israel and refuse to recognize their right to exist see Iran as the problem. Hell, a few years ago, six Sunni Arab states announced their intention to get nuclear weapons – something they felt no compulsion to have despite Israel’s stockpile. Think about it.

Unfortunately, as far as the Obama administration is concerned, the consequences of an Iranian Nuclear Bomb bear strictly upon Obama’s re-election chances — not the nation’s security (hardly a big deal in the Obama family, which has just recently started contemplating having pride in our country) or world stability per se — and thus they are muddled among other things such as important union jobs (versus shabby private sector jobs) and environmental concerns.
We must all remember that when Iran gets and uses or threatens to use the Nuclear weapons it will be thanks to Obama. And whereas Bush (as well as Barney Frank and Chris Dodd) may have some significant responsibility for the depression of 2007 and 08, that will not compare to Obama’s irresponsible efforts to destabilize the world.
