Breaking: Occupy Atlanta’s Base Tests Positive for Drug-Resistant Tuberculosis …Update: Jesse Jackson Just Spoke at the Camp

The homeless shelter that Occupy Atlanta protesters have been camping out in has been confirmed for housing two cases of drug-resistant tuberculosis. (Spencer Platt/CBS Atlanta)
Jesse Jackson just spoke at the TB camp four days ago.
Public health officials in Atlanta confirmed today that the Occupy Atlanta camp has tested possitive for tuberculosis.
CBS Atlanta reported:
The home base for Occupy Atlanta has tested positive for tuberculosis.
The Fulton County Health Department confirmed Wednesday that residents at the homeless shelter where protesters have been occupying have contracted the drug-resistant disease. WGCL reports that a health department spokeswoman said there is a possibility that both Occupy Atlanta protesters and the homeless people in the shelter may still be at risk since tuberculosis is contracted through air contact.
“Over the last three months were have been two persons who have resided in this facility who have been diagnosed with confirmed or suspected infectious tuberculosis (TB),” said Fulton County Services Director Matthew McKenna in a written statement to CBS Atlanta. “One of these persons was confirmed to have a strain of TB that is resistant to a single, standard medication used to treat this condition. All person(s) identified as positive have begun treatment and are being monitored to ensure that medication is taken as directed.”
The Atlanta Task Force for the Homeless has indicated that two cases have been made public knowledge to the group, the first coming from someone who contracted the disease in September. The identities of the people who have contracted the disease, however, have not been disclosed by the health department to this point.

Now that so many have been exposed and several of the participants travel widely this could reach epidemic proportions in a matter of days.
Think of the people like Jackson, Sharpton and Moore, how many people have they come into contact with in the last 72 hours…
Now ask yourself how many of those people who came into contact with the aforementioned have have also been in close proximity to others.

Keeping in mind that most OWS people are college educated from middle class families with good health, It is unlikely that any would have TB. However, most homeless people are beaten down, with longstanding drug habits, poor nutrition, and mental problems that often go along with poor immune systems. I read this as a warning that there is a resevoir of drug risistant TB somewhere in Atlanta that homeless people frequent. Some OWS may have contracted the disease. Rather rough justice for sponging off the homeless shelter, but life is like that.

Even so, they do not have jurisdiction to step in outside of certain specific parameters. A couple of cases of drug resistant TB in a homeless camp don’t qualify other than for mandatory reporting purposes. This is all on the Atlanta Health Department.

David Axelrod’s Pattern of Sexual Misbehavior
One month before the 2004 Democratic primary for the U.S. Senate, Obama was way down in the polls, about to lose to Blair Hull, a multimillionaire securities trader.
But then The Chicago Tribune — where Axelrod used to work — began publishing claims that Hull’s second ex-wife, Brenda Sexton, had sought an order of protection against him during their 1998 divorce proceedings.
From then until Election Day, Hull was embroiled in fighting the allegation that he was a “wife beater.” He and his ex-wife eventually agreed to release their sealed divorce records. His first ex-wife, daughters and nanny defended him at a press conference, swearing he was never violent. During a Democratic debate, Hull was forced to explain that his wife kicked him and he had merely kicked her back.
Hull’s substantial lead just a month before the primary collapsed with the nonstop media attention to his divorce records. Obama sailed to the front of the pack and won the primary. Hull finished third with 10 percent of the vote.
Luckily for Axelrod, Obama’s opponent in the general election had also been divorced.
The Republican nominee was Jack Ryan, a graduate of Dartmouth and Harvard law and business schools, who had left his lucrative partnership at Goldman Sachs to teach at an inner-city school on the South Side of Chicago.
But in a child custody dispute some years earlier, Ryan’s ex-wife, Hollywood sex kitten Jeri Lynn Ryan, had alleged that, while the couple was married, Jack had taken her to swingers clubs in Paris and New York.
Jack Ryan adamantly denied the allegations. In the interest of protecting their son, he also requested that the records be put permanently under seal.
Axelrod’s courthouse moles obtained the “sealed” records and, in no time, they were in the hands of every political operative in Chicago. Knowing perfectly well what was in the records, Chicago Tribune attorneys flew to California and requested that the court officially “unseal” them — over the objections of both Jack and Jeri Ryan.

A California judge ordered them unsealed, which allowed newspapers to publish the salacious allegations, and four days later, Ryan dropped out of the race under pressure from idiot Republicans (who should be tracked down and shot).
With a last-minute replacement of Alan Keyes as Obama’s Republican opponent, Obama was able to set an all-time record in an Illinois Senate election, winning with a 43 percent margin.
And that’s how Obama became a senator four years after losing a congressional race to Bobby Rush. (In a disastrous turn of events, Rush was not divorced.)
Axelrod destroyed the only two men who stood between Obama and the Senate with illicitly obtained, lurid allegations from their pasts.
In 2007, long after Obama was safely ensconced in the U.S. Senate, The New York Times reported: “The Tribune reporter who wrote the original piece (on Hull’s sealed divorce records) later acknowledged in print that the Obama camp had ‘worked aggressively behind the scenes’ to push the story.”
Some had suggested, the Times article continued, that Axelrod had “an even more significant role — that he leaked the initial story.”
This time, Obama’s little helpers have not only thrown a bomb into the Republican primary, but are hoping to destroy the man who deprives the Democrats of their only argument in 2012: If you oppose Obama, you must be a racist.

The net neutrality rules will take affect November 20. The White House had promised to veto the Republican legislation if it passed. The fate of net neutrality will now likely be determined in 2012 by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit.
Six Democrats and 280 Republicans in the House and Senate voted to overturn net neutrality. Two Republicans, 228 Democrats and one independent voted to uphold it.
Before the vote, FCC Commissioner Robert McDowell — one of the two dissenting voices on the FCC — told TheDC, ”This used to not be a partisan issue to keep government influence out of the Internet, both in the U.S. and internationally.”
The rules were passed by the FCC in December 2010 in a highly controversial vote that went against a previous ruling by a D.C. court that said net neutrality regulations were outside the commission’s authority.
Supporters of the FCC’s rules say the regulatory agency is within its legal jurisdiction to issue the rules as a means to protect tech startups and small businesses from larger companies, thereby, they hope, ensuring the protection of free speech. Opponents say the Internet’s success is due to market forces working free of government intervention.

The NYPD has moved three elite Manhattan homicide detectives and a deputy chief to the raucous Occupy Wall Street protest in response to a rash of sex attacks, thefts and vandalism — including graffiti scrawled on the nearby 9/11 Memorial, The Post has learned.
The detectives, who began working cases at the park two weeks ago, are also investigating two acts of vandalism on the 9/11 Memorial.
In the first, a heart was etched near a name on the bronze memorial. Cops suspect the perpetrator may have been a family member of a victim.
And last week, a drawing of a skull was found on the memorial. Both marks were remove.

America used to work. The people had work. The system worked. Hey, EVEN the Congress used to work…(sometimes).
