Chris Christie Rips Obama Over Deficit Talks: “What the Hell Are We Paying Him For?”

Governor Chris Christie ripped Barack Obama on his failure to get involved on the deficit talks. Christie ranted,
“What the hell are we paying you for?”
Via Freedom’s Lighthouse:

The Hill reported:

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie ripped President Obama for the failure of the debt supercommittee calling the president “a bystander in the Oval Office” in comments Monday.

“I was angry this weekend, listening to the spin coming out of the administration, about the failure of the supercommittee, and that the president knew it was doomed for failure, so he didn’t get involved. Well then what the hell are we paying you for?” Christie said in Camden, N.J. “It’s doomed for failure so I’m not getting involved? Well, what have you been doing, exactly?”…

…“Why the president of the United States refuses to do this is astonishing to me. If he wanted to run for Senate again and just be 1 of a 100, I’m sure he could have gotten reelected over and over again in Illinois,” Christie said. “He’s the one in Washington and he’s got to get something done here. And it’s not good enough just to say, ‘Well, I’ll get it done after the election.’”

We are paying for our own destruction Chris.

What has he (Zero) been doing exactly? He has been busy destroying the US economy, that’s what. And he’s not finished.

  • Andrew X

“So what the hell are we paying you for, anyway???”

Now THERE’s an overall campaign slogan for the RNC if I ever heard one!

  • Greg

He is the WON but WTF its barry you are talking about. This is the first President that sez out loud he does not represent the interests of all the american people but only his people. He is the poorest role model for our young folks and needs to be restrained until the election. His minions need to understand they will beheld accountable for theft and waste

  • gus

Lets see. Increase deficit by 5 TRILLLLLLLLLLION. Hand borrowed Chinese money to UNIONS and CAMPAIGN BUNDLERS.

Then fail at cutting deficit by 1.2 TRILLION over 10 years.

Yeah sounds like an honest plan. Chris, if you had a pair of balls, and you DON’T, you’d be pointing out that OBAMA is a COMMUNIST. But Chris Christi is a fat fvcking fraud.

  • jd

so…he knew that the debt commision would fail, but not solyndra?

  • Really?

This statement is exactly why I would never support Chris Christie for Pres. He just doesn’t GET that BHO’s purpose is to destroy the economy in the name of “social justice”.
Get a clue Chris before you shoot your mouth off.

…“Why the president of the United States refuses to do this is astonishing to me”.

wake up… odumbass is doing something…destroying this country has been his goal since day 1 and he is winning and laughing all the way to the bank

Nice backdrop of the black coffee serving waiters Bill Clinton appointed as Obama’s talent level….Still…. fat man is just playing the same old flip side of the blame game. Tea party has NOTHING in common with OWS. I do not think the ” system is broken ” …the system is a well greased organized crime machine that needs a party who will do the work career politicians refuse to do.

    We have no idea either.

Another misguided attack from Christie. If Christie wasn’t a liberal here’s what he would have said.

“Thank goodness president Obama stayed away from this boondoggle if there’s anything we didn’t need it was his help getting a compromise with liberal progressive Democrats who’s only solution for our financial problems is to spend us into oblivion and pretend that raising taxes would actually keep up with their spending. I hope president Obama enjoys the rest of his time in office on the golf course, basketball court or on vacation, we’ll gladly pay for his total disinterest in the job knowing the whole country and world benefits.”

Now that’s Hope and Change I can believe in.

Governor Christie feels this way and the way many feel, then start a petition to get this guy impeached.

Really, everyone has something to say and nothing is being done. I just wonder why it is taking so long for Christie and other to speak out about Obama and the game he has been playing for his own campaign.

I’m not sure all the commenters here realize just how devastating Gov. Christie’s point really is.

He has compared the job description of the office of the President of the United States with the actions of the person in office, in a way that transcends political position, and concludes that the person in office is not doing his job. It’s one thing to have a huge disagreement over policy at a meeting, but it is a whole ‘bother thing to fail to go to the meeting.

Christie’s point will resonate in all kinds of places.

It is the SAME devastating criticism Obama got from Chris Matthews

    “Not one phone call.”

How about this question for Americans – “Why the hell are you voting for him?”

If you did your homework in ’08, you’d know he was nothing more than the pretty face on a big, fat lie. Or, better yet: the pretty black face on that lie so no one could dare expose the lie without being harangued with calls of “Racist!”

You’d have known, too, that he has a record of ZERO achievement. You don’t get what you pay for with him. Take his stint as President of Law Review: he infuriated his fellow members because they did all the work while he’d visit them every now and then, pull up a chair to shoot the breeze and take off again.

Ever seen a record of anything he’s done? That book he wrote was most likely written by Bill Ayers according to one expert. That fraud has shown no ability to write anything close to the language you’ll find in it, while much is not surprisingly similar to Ayers’ writings – the radical domestic terrorist who’s coached and positioned him every step of the way.

This lazy-a$$ narcissist’s abilities are limited to these: lying, reading a teleprompter and running for office. But while he’s managed to keep his hands as clean as possible, his life has been spent with perverts and crooks. People who commit crimes to get what they want.

He should be rejected by every American. What he’s been a party to in our country should put him behind bars. Not in the Oval Office.

    Patty commented:

Impeachment takes time. There has to be proof of “high crimes and misdemeanors” while in office. Policy disagreements do not count, and it has to happen after the person is elected.

We had one incident, the failure to meet the deadline to authorize continued force in Libya, which was an easily-proved legal violation that was rectified. There appears to have been massive use of The Stimulus as a kick-back scheme for political cronies. The PROOF on this has not yet been fully developed. A bunch of people died as a result of that silly “Fast & Furious” scheme, which may have been conceived as a photo-op for tightening our gun control laws. Again, the PROOF of all the pieces is still in process.

None of these, as yet, have developed clearly enough to present articles of impeachment for a Democratic Senate. A Republican Senate might have acted faster, but probably not enough faster to make a difference. Because of the time frames involved, impeachment is a second-term remedy for the US Presidency.

If BO is re-elected, he will be impeached.

If President thin-skin gets offended enough, he’ll say something ill-advised. I’ve always thought he should be offended aggressively.

  • Hussein bin Obama will never do anything positive for the United States before or after the next election. To him America is the enemy.
