Dem Rep. Richardson Says House Investigation Is Racist

Democrat Laura Richardson told reporters today that the bipartisan House Ethics Committee was investigating her because she’s African-American.
The AP reported, via FOX Nation:
Rep. Laura Richardson charged Friday the House Ethics Committee has singled her out for scrutiny because she’s African-American.
Richardson, D-Calif., effectively announced the committee’s investigation before the panel revealed it, accusing fellow lawmakers of ignoring wrongdoing by others in order to focus on her.
The Ethics Committee is looking into whether she improperly used staff for political purposes.
The committee is composed of five members from each party. The ranking Democrat is a Hispanic, Rep. Linda Sanchez of California. Other Democratic members are Rep. Donna Edwards, an African-American from Maryland; Rep. Pedro Pierluisi, who represents Puerto Rico; John Yarmuth of Kentucky; and Joe Courtney of Connecticut. The five Republicans are all white men. They are Rep. Jo Bonner of Alabama, the committee chairman; Rep. Michael McCaul of Texas; Rep. K. Michael Conaway of Texas; Rep. Charlie Dent of Pennsylvania; and Gregg Harper of Mississippi.

We have a real problem in America with certain defiant and angry blacks and other minorities that find their way into government who then conduct themselves like royalty without any regard for their staffs, ethics or the law. It’s common by now isn’t it?
What many people fail to realize is that when people get to walk around the turnstile simply because of their race, they also get a pass on their character, their work ethic, their ability to take negative feedback and learn from it, or any other dysfunction they may have. We thus, in affirmative action, are moving people up the ladder that shouldn’t even be on the ladder. And we are also throwing good people off the ladder to give minorities the places they do not deserve.
This is yet another example of the unintended consequences of affirmative action. I am tired of people taking away my rights and giving them to other people because of their minority status. We have way too many minorities in America that have jobs and positions for which they are neither intellectually capable, nor qualified for the work they are supposed to be doing. These people are like having thousands of monkey wrenches in the machine of our economy.
The sooner we rid ourselves of these people and the practice of giving them preference the better. Clearly, this does not apply to all minorities, however, it certainly applies to a good number of them. When we talk about getting our economy back on track, people like Rep. Richardson should be given toilet brushes to do the jobs they are clearly suited for.

When it becomes the first words uttered when a criminal is accused of a crime, when a corrupt politician is caught, they are damaging the last remnants of meaning left in this hollow claim.
In the corporate world, racism is mostly irrelevant. If you’re pathetic enough to think that a difference in skin pigmentation has any bearing in one’s value as an individual, you need to crawl back under that rock before a real human being rightfully steps on you.
