Once Again, Obama Chooses Book About Himself to Read to Kids – It’s All About “Me, Me, Me!”

Me, Me, Me!!

Via Drudge- Deseret News

Barack Obama read a kid’s book about himself to Texas school children yesterday.
USA Today reproted:

Before his speech Tuesday at Eastfield College in Mesquite, Tex., President Obama stopped by an early childhood education laboratory with children ages 3 to 5.

Among his reading selections: A book about the presidential dog Bo, including a drawing of the president himself.

Some of the kids didn’t seem to think the caricature looked much like their guest.

“That’s because when they made this book I didn’t have any gray hair,” Obama said.

This isn’t the first time he’s read to kids about himself.
In December of last year, Barack Obama read the book he ‘authored’ “Of Thee I Sing” to a group of second graders. The book includes a letter he wrote to his daughters.

    My pet jackass!

  • Carbon Pootprint

So he decided to read Wall Street Bankers pet goat to them?

  • Gary

Of course it doesn’t look like him, there is no teleprompter. Obama is a SCOAMF.

  • haha! LOL! “barf!”

Speaking of “barf-barf” anyone seen “Bo” lately … ? Maybe the dog vacations separately, sorta a Obama family habit he’s picked up?

  • Highlander

Yeah, where is Bo? Maybe they had an argument, and Michelle made pate’ for dinner a while back? Regardless, what a tool …

  • Taqiyyotomist

And damn, look at the halo behind him, even in a children’s book!

Sheesh, the torrent brainwashing is pathetic. The scale and ubiquitous nature of the effort is staggering.

  • Neo

The book .. “you too can be self centered”

  • Taqiyyotomist

Even the crap on the wall behind him is part and parcel.

Creation of separate racial identities early. “Divide and conquer” starts in public grade-school classrooms, very early.

Then comes the fisting kits, dental dams, and guides to local leather bars.

Then comes high school, where the brainwashing process reaches full maturity. All the tenets and dogmas so insidiously taught since kindergarten are now TRUTH.

  • mg4us

It is always about him and not OUR Country!

Funny how the smile in the book and on the black kid in the mural on the wall are the same. . .is that a stereotype?

  • Remco Kimber

“Well, here I’ve been occupying all the time talking about myself.

“Lets spend some time talking about you.

“Lets start. What do you think of me and my goodness?”

Did you know that Muslims held a conference in Obama’s hometown of Chicago calling for the violent overthrow of the United States?

    (Bare Naked Islam)

  • Can you say narcissist? I knew you could!

  • Now, now, people. It is the traditional place of the First Lady to produce a book on the First Dog (like Bo), and be photographed reading it to young children. Like Barbara Bush and Millie’s Book (which is very good by the way).

I’d be willing to bet if you were in the room and listening as he read, that the photographers just went nuts when that particular page was opened. Narcissism is contagious it seems.

  • MN Jim

I tuned this turd out after he said “We are the ones we have been waiting for.”

  • NotTheOne

Wonder if there are ANY words in this book?

I wonder if there was a translator there to give the spanish version 🙂

  • Gimme a Break, I’m a Tea Party Hobbit

No one here really expected this jerk to read a book about Washington or Jefferson did they?

  • Freddy

Has Obama written a little Red book for the rest of us to be compelled to buy and read per the commerce clause?

  • narcissism

  • Midnight Rider

In the light of our present circumstances does this really sound too implausible?

  • A book about himself? So, he read Our Pet Goat?

  • of couse its all about him, children in that picture look to be a little to old to be read too…don’t you think

  • cal rifkin

sniff, tears — I get choked up and cry when I think of Barry and Mooochelle and their senior staff.

  • Mr_Stark

Anybody else find it funny that the book has Obama behind a podium? Isn’t it a sign that all you do is talk, balk, and read teleprompters during your presidency when a children’s book that illustrates you as doing nothing but stand behind a podium?

  • Grandma

I think that would be the ideal day to keep your children at home… or take them on a field trip of some sort that would enrich their lives. But – a child should not have to endure THAT.

Another scary takeaway here, from the USA Today article:

Before his speech Tuesday at Eastfield College in Mesquite, Tex., President Obama stopped by an early childhood education laboratory with children ages 3 to 5.

    Wait. early childhood education LABORATORY??!!

    We’ve gone full-on, balls-deep, pedal-to-the-metal hyper-commie, at this point.

Our kids are in a Secret of NIMH national “laboratory”, just subjects for experimentation.

Hitler would be proud of what our Exalted State has become, and SCREW Godwin — if the jackboot fits, wear it.

  • Joanne

…probably the only books he can read.

  • bg

It’s All About “Me, Me, Me!”

no, it’s all about them wanting our kids..

heck, they already own their future, and if we keep
up with the stupid, they’ll own their minds as well..

  • madtntaxpayer

Did he have a book signing afterwards with the parents buying copies of this landmark work? Maybe he should schedule a cameo appearance (campaign stop) on Sesame Street and pitch the book. I can’t wait for Michelle’s “Vacationing Overseas on $5.00 A Day” which would be factual as she probably hasn’t spent that amount out of pocket during her $10,000,000 junkets. One would be hard pressed to even make this stuff up. Unbelievable and yes, sickening.

Who the FLYING FVCK reads a book about THEMSELF to captive audience school children.

THIS IS SOME SICK SH!T. What the fvck happened to this nation.

    Hyper commie…luv that!

  • Buffalobob

One has to question his mental outlook on life. Being told how wonderful he is, how messianic he is, how brilliant he is, must weigh heavily on his mind. Given the fact he is a product of affirmative action there must be a lingering question deep in his subconscious. Do they really like me? Do they really know how smart I am. So we have a narcissist always needing to bring the conversation and focus on him.

  • Chris in N.Va

And then Ozymandias-on-the-Potomac here told a whopper THIIIIIIS BIIIIG and all the media outlets gobbled it down hook, line, sinker AND pole!

Isn’t that just the funniest, boys and girls? Yeah, I thought so too!!

Remember to tell mommy and daddy to vote for me-me-me-me-me because I’m so much fun, OK?

That Of Thee I Sing”is the name of Laura Ingraham’ s book!
Say, in new editions Obama could retitle it:”Of Thee I Sing-Sing!”-My-Chronicles-from-Freedom-and-Change-to-Prison.
Better work on electing some Conservative Senators. We need 8 for sure and a few more to get rid of the RINOS, maybe ten or 12. And then we need 19 to over-ride veto.Notice howthe Press never covers the Senate races? THAT shows how important the Senate races are.

If the GOP elites and Donks saddle us with a loser GOP candidate, then all we have left for the Republic is the Senate. Remember the Debt-ceiling negotiations are the preview of what we get for the Campaign next year, imo. Bupkis. A very weak, Marquis-de-Queensbury campaign.

Is there anything more pathetic than this photo of him and his book ?!?

(Also inaccurate — the teleprompters are missing)

  • Patty

Ok, he has a book he has to be familiar with, so, no need for teleprompter. Now, 3 and 4 year old kids are smart these days. But really, how many will even remember this. A photo op and a narcissistic person, Who Knew!!

  • Voter

OMG. This guy really IS insane. How on earth did an insane person get to be president of the United States?

People, we are in really deep dodo if this guy isn’t elected OUT of office in 2012.

  • ah hmm…

    I t’ink I might fwow up

  • progressoverpeace

I have to make this correction:

The book was not about B.O. It was about his dog, that B.O. named “BO”, after himself.

Of course, to a normal person this is very, very weird, but to a guy whose mother was named “Stanley”, it’s perfectly appropriate.

The President led the class in his 2 favorite songs “Hail to the Chief ” and “of Me I sing.” He then asked the class to name the 3 best things they liked about Him and asked them to donate their lunch money so He could continue to rule over them.

“I do not like green eggs and ham…” has been replaced with Mr. Hubris and two word captions. This explains why our children can not master phonemes and the building blocks of language.

PHILADELPHIA, PA.—Fueled almost entirely by book profits, Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) and wife Michelle earned almost $7 million since he was elected to the Senate in 2004, with the couple reporting more than $4 million in income for 2007, according to returns released Wednesday.

The couple reported total 2007 income of $4,238,165, of which $3,943,378 was profit from his best-sellers ”Dreams From My Father” his memoir reissued in 2004 when his political career started to skyrocket and ”The Audacity of Hope,” published in 2006.

The Obama’s paid $1,396,772 in federal taxes and donated $240,370 to charity in 2007.

Since elected to the Senate in 2004, the Obamas’ have seen their income shoot up, almost all from books. In 2004 the Obamas’ reported $207,647 in taxable income; $1.6 million in 2005 (including the book advance); and $983,826 in 2006/
Release of income taxes has become an issue in the presidential campaign.

Book Sales Lifted Obamas’ Income in 2007 to a Total of $4.2 Million

In terms of investments, the Obamas reported just $1,442 in taxable interest income in 2007.

The Obamas paid only a fraction of their 2007 tax burden in the form of estimated taxes, which is perhaps a reflection of the unpredictable nature of their income last year.

In 2004, before Mr. Obama was elected to the Senate, the Obamas reported $207,647 in taxable income. That compared with an overall taxable income of $1.6 million in 2005 and $983,826 in 2006, with the increase due to an advance and royalties from his books, “Dreams From My Father” and “The Audacity of Hope”.

There is something very, very sick about Barrack.

  • first step :brainwashing of high school and college kids, step two: brainwashing of preschool and grade schoolers. step three, last step: total take over of USA in 20 yrs, mission accomplished. Final steps: statue of Great Leader Barak Obama, Father of our New Country placed in Washington DC…..Scarier than the book Big Brother. Don’t tell me no one else sees this, we all do and yet we allow it to continue. Where were the parents when this brainwashing session was planned ?????? Oh Wait, they were in the first step !!!!

Let’s hope that some day soon he becomes so entranced by his own reflection that he won’t be able to actually run his campaign.

  • Restless

How insecure this man must be that he feels the need to promote himself to a bunch of little kids! Does his ego need constant stroking? Apparently so. A President should use an opportunity such as this to engage in the promotion of education… not in self-promotion. All I see in this picture is a sad, pitiful, insecure man.
