Air Claire Takes Flight–
Tom Carnahan, brother of Robin and Russ Carnahan, was gifted with $107 million in stimulus money for his wind farm project in Missouri.

The Carnahans got a windfall in stimulus dollars. We got the bill.

To show his appreciation, Tom Carnahan will host a $25,000-per-person fundraiser for President Obama on Tuesday in St. Louis. Going Green is a two way street.

But, when Barack Obama comes to Missouri Senator Claire McCaskill won’t be there to meet him.
The Hill reported:

Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.) won’t join President Obama when he visits St. Louis on Tuesday, prompting claims by Republicans that she is avoiding an appearance with the president, whose poll numbers are underwater in Missouri.

An aide to McCaskill told The Hill that though she had hoped to be there, competing events scheduled for the senator and likely votes in Senate on Tuesday precluded her from returning to Missouri. The aide added that McCaskill hopes the timing will work out better in the future.

But Missouri Republicans have pointed to a more cynical reason for the first-term senator to stay in Washington: McCaskill’s GOP opponents already have their video cameras fired up to capture footage of her appearing chummy with Obama. That footage will inevitably end up in campaign ads tying her to the president, in hopes that his reelection struggles might complicate her own

    Professional Politician

Can’t live with ‘em but I’d sure like to try!

  3. Gee…. a $107 million doesn’t go as far as it used to nowadays.
It can’t even buy a hand shake and a quick photo.

  4. I expect to hear “competing events” come tumbling out of the mouths of a lot of Liberal political trash in the next year.

Who would want to stand next the man that is flushing the Country down the toilet?
(Not that it will help McCaskill at all)

She is so divisive. Another slave to Obama.

funny how every politician lies out their A$$

  7. Hypocrites all of them. If things were going good they would be good little soldiers and stand by the Man. Pathetic. Looking at their own political careers.

  8. The president has cooties!

  9. I personally know 30 people who voted for this “train wreck” known as Claire McCaskell. They have all said, this WILL NOT happen again. Their “Democrat” days are over, now Independents like myself. Done with the “party” stuff, it has gone on too long. It will be a tough road to defeat her, as our current crop of opponents are pretty weak, and Claire is a master of “doublespeak” as they say. If I am still living when the election gets here, she will most assuredly not get my vote.

  10. Awwww…Claire, Claire, Claire! It will not save your fat arse, so you might as well meet the dear Leader and not hide out. We all know that there is nothing you can now do to save your rather large rearend, you showed your true colors, its obvious to everyone, even those with a tiny brain.

Its funny to watch the chameleons squirm and try to change their color. The snakes slither and try to hide. Time will not be friendly to either one of them.

  11. What them worry? they got a $107 million bucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I always wondered, how do they know when the wind is ready for harvest?

  13. I want some Obama/Barry Soetoro “Stash” but I will NOT keep it all to myself! I will SHARE the WEALTH!

It is NOT above my “pay grade” to share.

  14. Even if Claire is not present for the juicy photo-op, isn’t there something called her voting record to hammer in the campaign ads?

  15. Who would pay $25K for him????? WHO????

  17. The only thing that Clalre Bear has done for our fair state is to get fatter and uglier. And that was a real challenge.

  18. Standing next to Obama would make her look smarter… comparatively

  19. Missouri needs to find leadership in places other than dynastic succession. We are not some private fief. That means we should cut off the Carnahans and the Blunts. Thanks for your service — now hit the bricks.

  20. Will Robin and Russ be there?

  21. These dhimmies are so “scary.” So out of the mainstream. So like the jackbooted thugs I have seen worldwide.

  22. The mob and drug cartels “ain’t got nothing” on Obama when it comes to laundering money.

  23. A majority of Americans expect Barack Obama to be a one-term president, an assessment on which, in past elections, the public more often has been right than wrong.

Just 37 percent in a new ABC News/Washington Post poll say they expect Obama to win re-election in November 2012; 55 percent instead expect the eventual Republican nominee to win. ABC’s George Stephanopoulos is asking the president about that result in an interview today.

It’s a challenging finding for the president because expectations can fuel voter enthusiasm – precisely the ingredient that led the GOP to its broad success in the 2010 midterms, when charged-up conservatives turned out while dispirited Democrats stayed home.

Democrats do expect Obama to win, but they say so only by 58-33 percent – a comparatively tepid vote of confidence within his own party. Republicans, by contrast, smell victory by a vast 83-13 percent. And independents – the linchpin of national politics – by 54-36 percent expect the Republican candidate to beat Obama.

I see a democrat or a libertarian running against Obama.

  24. FUNNNNNNEEEEE!! I guess that Russ Carnahan will pick him up at the AP. BUT, where is Claire???
