Not wasting any time, former Governor Tim Pawlenty endorsed former Governor Mitt Romney today.
Pawlenty told FOX News that Romney will repeal Romneycare Obamneycare.
Pawlenty backs Romney.
FOX News reported:
Ex-presidential candidate Tim Pawlenty on Monday endorsed Mitt Romney for the GOP presidential nomination, saying the former Massachusetts governor and businessman has what it takes to turn the country around.
Pawlenty, speaking on Fox News, cited Romney’s “depth and scope” of experience in the private sector.
“I think he’s going to be a transformational and great president for this country,” he told Fox News, calling Romney’s business resume “unmatched.”
Though Pawlenty had criticized Romney over Massachusetts’ health care plan before dropping out of the race last month, the former Minnesota governor said Monday he’s confident Romney would fight to undo the federal health care overhaul — which bears similarities to the Massachusetts law.
“Mitt Romney is 100 percent dedicated and committed to repealing Obamacare,” Pawlenty said, citing Romney’s pledge to grant the states waivers from the federal law.

There goes any claim Pawlenty had of being a conservative. Good to get that out in the open.

I do not want Romney ither! I remember George HW Bush and Barb being interviewed and Barb said she wanted Romney to run and Jebb could be vice-president! UCK! We know why don’t we? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rc7i0wCFf8g
Take time to listen to this very short and scary video of George HW bush talking about the NEW WORLD ORDER!
Wake Up America!

This will be as powerful as Pawlenty’s campaign itself: a big shrug and yawn! Maybe he’s trying to stya relevant and hope to be in the running for VP slot.
Mitchell commented:
Gosh, the RINO establishment sure is fond of Romney. It’s almost like he is a democrat or something but we all know he’s not. He’s for industry (as long as it doesn’t contribute to global warming) and less government (except with Romneycare in Massachusetts).
It’s a tribute to just how awful Obama is, that I feel compelled to state that I’ll still vote for Romney if he somehow slimes Perry enough to get the nomination. It’s just so weird to see a republican attacking someone for “threatening Social Security.” Romney has a thirst for power I’ve only seen in democrats before.
StrangernFiction commented:
I didn’t see that coming.

AND NOW WE KNOW WHY PAWLENTY’S PRESIDENTIAL RUN WAS A COW FLOP!
Wonder what Mitt promised him? Me, too. Mitt will replace Obamacare like I’ll end up voting to re-elect that america hating president hussein.

Tpaw===Who the h&&l is that, and he endorsed who?
StrangernFiction commented:
If the GOP in its infinite wisdom selects RomneCare (ie doesn’t have the stomach for the truth) as its nominee, you won’t need to wait for the general to get the verdict on America. It will clearly be finished.
CV1 commented:
Why is anyone endorsing anyone yet? So many things can happen before the primaries that one would be a fool to totally jump into a potential candidate’s corner. Pawlenty is weak.
The Underground Conservative commented:
“Pawlenty is weak.”

Barbara Bush also said she wished Sarah Palin would stay in Alaska (not a direct quote). Shows who the Bushes are.
BTW, Pawlenty dropped out of the race over low poll numbers at Iowa. Just what does he think his endorsement is worth? Now literally hundreds more people around the country are supporting Romney? And when he dropped out, does he think his supporters were waiting to be told what to do? I’m guessing most of his support went to Bachmann, not because they are alike politically, but because his core support was in Minnesota.
StrangernFiction commented:
[Pawlenty, a former Minnesota governor who dropped his bid for the Republican presidential nomination in August, will serve as the national co-chair of Romney's campaign. In that role, Pawlenty will serve as a top campaign surrogate for the former Massachusetts governor.]

T-Paw needed a job….and well credibility goes out the window when you’ve got debts to pay.
Ripped commented:
Hahahahaha Pawlenty endorses mittens, these RINO’s are such a joke, now if we could just get rid of that wannabe conservative Perry and nominate a true Statesman like Ron Paul we might just return to constitutional government in this country.
Ron Paul is coming up in the polls as Perry and Romney slide. America is catching on. We may just save this beast without the Neo-Cons.
retire05 commented:
Odd, Pawlenty refused to go after Mitt on Romneycare during the Iowa debate, and now all of sudden he is Mitt’s campaign “co-chair” and it is being reported that T-Paw’s campaign debts have now been paid off. We will have to wait to see if that is true.
Bill Mitchell commented:
With the Pawlenty endorsement, Romney should be unstoppable.
Lol, yeah right.
I used to really like Romney until he became the Panderer-in-Chief.
Bill Mitchell commented:
The amazing thing is that despite is “Ponzi Scheme” talk, Perry is KILLIN IT with Seniors, according to newest CNN poll. The ONLY time you can trust a CNN poll is when they are polling ONLY Republicans and can’t wildly oversample Dimocrats.
kato commented:
Romney is perhaps the most palatable of a weak group of Republican candidates. My big fear is that the Bible-thumpers won’t be able to get over his Mormonism and Obama will get another four years.
I know this will not be received well here at the Sarah Palin Fan Club, who see a candidate as pure as Ivory Soap, but who has a zero — Z-E-R-O — chance of winning.
The tea party should put most of its effort into winning the Senate and strengthening its hold over the House. A Republican Congress would put fetters on Obama and might even mount a credible challenge to ObamaCare.
I’d also suggest yet again that people take off the blinders regarding their Compassionate Conservative, who still receives praise at this site. The problems of this economy have been made worse by Obama, but they were largely the creation of the Bush administration. For four years he signed every single pork-laden bill that came across his desk and he ratcheted up the size, scope, and precariousness of the federal fisc to a degree that would make a liberal salivate. He promised “shock and awe,” but the only thing that is shocking is that ten years, over a trillion dollars, almost 5,000 dead and many times as many maimed have produced such inconclusive results. This is what happens when you order cease-fires on Muslim holy days, refuse to attack mosques being used as forts, and give war criminals first-class accomodations, includung ethnically correct food, prayer mats and Korans. Shock and awe, my ass.
Capitalist Infidel commented:
Wouldn’t Romney have a better chance in a primary against Obama? One is a far left wing fanatical nut job and the other is a moderate democrat.
workingclass artist commented:
T-Paw just wrestled the VP spot on a never gonna happen Romney ticket away from both Bachmann & Huntsman…This is rich

You’re right again. He didn’t want to say it to Romney’s face.
So maybe there’s room for a conspiracy theory.
Pawlenty never had the numbers and he knew it, so he made the deal before the second debate to go after Bachmann (Romney’s top opponent at that point) and take himself out of the race at the same time. He helps Romney get a bigger lead over Bachmann and secures a position for himself with Romney.
Just something to think about.
kato commented:
Romney said one standout thing in an early Republican debate: Anyone on this stage would make a better president than Obama.
He was right about that. Those of you who will sit out and wait for your ideologically pure candidate may as well cast your vote for Obama.
Romney has, by now, name recognition and prior experience running for president. He should be able to raise large sums of money, something Michelle Bachmann, for example, will most likely not be able to do.
Yes, he’s moderate. Yes, he’s plastic. But he appears intelligent, competent, and pragmatic. I’ll take that over the left-wing ideologue cum union errand boy every time.
Blacque Jacques Shellacque commented:
So, he finally puts on the dunce cap. Whatever.
Mr Pawlenty, go back to Minnesota and stay there, and don’t bother the rest of the country again.
mamagriz68 commented:
Not to be rude, but I don’t see how this helps Romney in any way. Did Pawlenty ever get above 6% in polling?
K~Bob commented:
Rumors that Romney is also seeking the endorsement of Jessie Jackson are still being investigated.
ohiochili commented:
Yeah, kato. You lost me when you refer to Bible-thumpers. You come across as a RINO elite, sniffing at those you consider lower than you.
Save your education. I think for myself.
Kathy from Kansas commented:
I supported Pawlenty early in the game, liked his book, and even though I had other favorites by the time Ames rolled around, I was disappointed when he dropped out.
But he’s not the man I thought he was. Check out his appearance on the Colbert Report a couple weeks ago.

In a couple of places, his “humor” is just juvenile. Insults Michele Bachmann in a mean way; makes a rather crude joke about “blowing sparks out his butt.”
Sad.
Kathy from Kansas commented:
