Rep. Paul Ryan and Chris Wallace discussed the Obama Solyndra scandal today on FOX News Sunday. Ryan told Wallace, “There are billions more of this exact kind of spending that came out of the Obama stimulus that will produce these kind of results we fear… This is crony capitalism at its worst.”

Thanks for the dose of Ryan pr0n…*sigh*…
Patty commented:
Solyndra applied for a second loan. No word whether they got one.
And Ryan is right. There are more loans like this and Washington’s job is to uncover them.
FBI can but someone like Ryan and other patriots must help to get this president out of office in 2012.

I do not know if any one else is having this problem but wanted to let you know what I am experiencing. When I am on one of your post reading the computer screen will blink and it will take be back to your home page( what ever it is called) Then sometimes when I want to get out on one of your stories and I go back to another one of your stories it takes me to my home page. This only happens on your blog! Weird!

Guess what? Because we are going to have ti buy light bulbs from China now, it’s going ti cost something like $25 a pop. China has a unique
Mineral necessary for the bulb that is only found in China.

Yes, there was a thread about this very thing, here.
We have stockpiled up on old bulbs. The government gets you coming and going. They voted to approve this. Bet, they are sorry now. When we change perfection these are the results you get.
Immelt is so excited the more money GE will be making and to think all the jobs he sends to other nations. Oh, goose bumps….tingles….!
Then need to ship him to China.

hey, where is #7 comment. I noticed it was skipped here.

What are some of those billions? Why can’t they ever be specific?
A few references would make his answer hard-hitting instead of boilerplate.

Funny how the “crony capitalism” meme that all these politicians are singing came from Palin’s Sept. speech in Iowa!
Patty commented:
And this is the very reason Obama has fittered away….trillions. This is why he needs to be voted out of office. I hope the voters will vote on his failed policies and not that they think Obama will pay for their home or car or something stupid like that.
Who are these Voters? Hope they get a clue.

It gets skipped when the person posting a comment types up a very long paragraph in the box that they should type their name into. (It’s a bot thing that doesn’t know which text box to enter a comment or their name and email)
Katie commented:
Robert…I’m sort of hoping they know where billions went, are busy investigating and gathering evidence, and simply holding the cards as close as possible.

Thanks for that list. Some good choices for spending cuts in there.

The ‘bots’ are extremely busy this morning! (The number skipping should stop soon.)

I suspect that they are keeping a low profile in order to not become a target for the media. In other words, they are watching out for themselves. We are nearly a year in since the 2010 Tea Party election and we got nothing so far.
The Republicans, including especially the “Tea Party” candidates, are not doing the job they were sent there to do.
Mark commented:
Tea Party voters have got what they voted for: gridlock, government inaction, and insolvency. Way to “drown the beast” guys!
Radegunda commented:
Mark #21:
The Tea Partiers are stopping the crazy left from doing even more damage. That isn’t “gridlock.” It’s how the Constitution designed our government — to prevent a bunch of radicals from imposing a destructive agenda with no opposition to slow it down.
Apparently you didn’t notice that the insolvency problem went off the charts while the Dem-left had the whole government all to itself, and went on a spending binge to funnel taxpayers’ money to Dem campaign donors.
The main reason we still have an insolvency problem is because the Dem-left shoots down and demagogues any rational plan to fix it. Dems have ALWAYS demanded more wasteful government spending, with no understanding of where the money ultimately comes from.
Radegunda commented:
Mark #21, the Democrats have not even passed a budget in well over two years, because they don’t want to face up to their responsibilities.
Republicans in the House have passed budgets that bring down the deficit and free up the economy. It’s the Dems who block every sensible idea that comes out of the House.
The Dems are playing short-term politics without any concern for the country’s long-term survival.

Well thank you Mr commander of the obvious. Go back to your Marvel comic books Mr Ryan. You sees all this fascist corruption going on in my government, but the only person sitting in jail is Bernie Maddoff. The solyndra thieves should be hung by their ankles just like Mussolini. You are not the man to do it.
Dan commented:
Sarah Palin must be able to see the future, because she mentions crony capitalism and makes it an issue, now it is blowing up all over and people are using that phrase left and right! Thanks Sarah!
Francesca commented:
When will someone(s) go through and announce the specifics of other billions being spent on bailouts like Solyndra? We need SPECIFICS! Now.

For those of you who have heard Stephen Bannon’s, The Victory Sessions on KABC 790, you know he does a great show. Make sure to listen tonight when he interviews Anand Giridharadas, the New York Times columnist who wrote that perceptive article about Governor Palin’s speech in Iowa, which said:
S]omething curious happened when Ms. Palin strode onto the stage last weekend at a Tea Party event in Indianola, Iowa. Along with her familiar and predictable swipes at President Barack Obama and the “far left,” she delivered a devastating indictment of the entire U.S. political establishment — left, right and center — and pointed toward a way of transcending the presently unbridgeable political divide…
The political conversation in the United States is paralyzed by a simplistic division of labor. Democrats protect that portion of human flourishing that is threatened by big money and enhanced by government action. Republicans protect that portion of human flourishing that is threatened by big government and enhanced by the free market.
What is seldom said is that human flourishing is a complex and delicate thing, and that we needn’t choose whether government or the market jeopardizes it more, because both can threaten it at the same time.
Ms. Palin may be hinting at a new political alignment that would pit a vigorous localism against a kind of national-global institutionalism.
On one side would be those Americans who believe in the power of vast, well-developed institutions like Goldman Sachs, the Teamsters Union, General Electric, Google and the U.S. Department of Education to make the world better. On the other side would be people who believe that power, whether public or private, becomes corrupt and unresponsive the more remote and more anonymous it becomes; they would press to live in self-contained, self-governing enclaves that bear the burden of their own prosperity.
