Disgusting. Just like a democrat…. Mitt Romney is doing his best to smear and fearmonger in the Florida Republican primary. The former Massachusett’s governor is sending out mailers claiming that Rick Perry Wants to kill Social Security. (Perry has never said this.)
This is something you would expect from a democrat, Governor Romney… Not a Republican!

Boo hoo hoo! Cry me a river!

Mitt Romney is and has always been a RINO! If Perry would get an endorsement from Governer Palin this race would be over.
MariaA commented:
Romney and others that are using the Social Security= Ponzi scheme comment as a club to hit Perry are annoying a guy with a very big megaphone: Rush Limbaugh. He served notice today that he’s going to take them to task if they attack Perry with it. I look forward to it.
Christopher Taylor commented:
Romney is in trouble and trying anything to win. The problem is he doesn’t seem to comprehend that his foe is Obama, not the GOP candidates.
Don commented:
You all may not like this but as the husband ofa woman that is in a wheelchair due to a illegal with no insurance, who gets ssdi perrys retoric on social security and his past record on immagration are a absolute no go for me.reform the system heck yes, abolish it he!! No.

#3 …..If Parry gets an indorsement from Palin our country will be over. Take Parry and Barry put them in a sack shake them up and dump them out and they will fall out at the same time.
Maria commented:
#7……
take a sack, put Barry and Perry in, take a club and you always hit the right person
Bert commented:
Time’s running out, Republicans. If the best you can do is Perry and Romney, then kiss the Republic goodbye and settle for another four years of Obama and a lifetime of servitude to the socialists. It’s your choice.
Hedgehog commented:
I think that Mitt is playing for the other team. Perry? Probably. I say go with Bachman and Santorum. They have not been compromised.
Ginger commented:
#10
I agree! Their door steps are much cleaner then the other two, in particular Perry!
KLD commented:
Really a politically cheap low blow. Perry has not said anything about ‘killing’ or abolishing Social Security. He calls the funding of it a Ponzi scheme, and says it needs to be fixed to be sustainable.
Everyone says it has to be fixed, everyone says it, Romney, the Democrats, the Republicans, Liberals…everyone knows the funding can’t sustain Social Security. Everyone knows the structure is basically a ponzi scheme. Even Chris Matthews for petes sake!
Romney is twisting words and taking cheap shots. And not accurate ones. He lost a few points with me on this one. Typical political smear campaign.
I tend to agree with Christopher T. He’s in trouble and trying to amp it up. This isn’t the way to do it. It lacks integrity.
Betsy Ross commented:
Well, Pawlenty worked for McCain and we all know how well that turned out…
hermie commented:
Romney had promise in 2008, but now he can’t win against Obama. His Romneycare will kill him in debates and in Obama’s attack ads.
The GOP elite still seem to think Romney should get the nomination because it’s ‘his turn’. That’s total BS! That kind of thinking caused the defeat of the GOP in too many Presidential elections.
Romney could still make a decent Sec of Treasury or Commerce, but he will never get my vote for POTUS and I’m hoping that he gets his ass handed to him in every primary and caucus he enters. He handed Obama another script for an attack ad and for Obama’s minions in the MSM another opportunity to paint Perry in a bad light.
judgeroybean commented:
Mitt, you just blew it. This is conduct unbecoming of a TRUE conservative. At a conference you two were 50-50 plus or minus 4. If this is true, and same group was together, you’d be outvoted 65-35 plus 5 minus zero. Shame on you.
Swifty commented:
Romney lost any chance of my vote with his big lie that plenty of people will believe. Stick a fork in him– he’s done.
Jim Higbee commented:
Bachman really disappointed me. She was going in for the kill on Perry to make herself look better! She should focus on Obama! Perry said he made a mistake. What did she want him to do, cut his wrists on stage? She looked bad.
AnnaS commented:
I was disgusted with Bachman. She was just keeping on keeping on after Perry. He said he made an error, but that was not good enough for her. She seemed on a vendetta.
MamaGrizzly commented:
I agree with 7 & 8.
Why defend Perry on Social Security? He said it’s over and should be discontinued last debate. Just replay it.
I don’t think Romney is a RINO.
I think Perry has Rush bamboozled. Wonder if that was the idea.
Little David Puddy commented:
Perry, Romney. Romney Perry! I really could care less. Both have their good and bad points.
Whichever one polls higher WITH INDEPENDENTS against Obama when it’s time to make the nomination has to be the candidate. We have to beat Obama. We have to nominate the candidate that best has the chance to beat Obama. That’s it. It doesn’t get any simpler than that. Either one is 1000 Times better than Obama. No one is going to agree with everything either candidate says. BUT WE HAVE TO BEAT OBAMA.
Liz commented:
Oh please. I’ll tell you what IS disgusting. The forced vaccinations of little girls, the coddling of illegals when Texans are counting on you to fix the immigration problem, and the $5000 buy out by Merck. Perry is done if what his fellow Texan and Ms. Bachmann and Santorum were right. Ughhh. That’s not conservative stuff, Mr. Perry.
Gary Gross commented:
Jim, You’re so right about Romney’s tactics. In fact, I wrote Sunday morning that Romney’s tactics were what I’d expect from a Democrat.
catwoman368 commented:
If Perry were to get the nomination and since he isn’t 100% conservative yall will stay home or vote for the 110% marxist ? The Gardisil issue was not forced vaccinations of young girls. There was an opt out for parents, plus Perry caught hell from many here in Texas. It was an issue of the HPV causing cancer and wanting to prevent it. Perry has been a good gov and easily won re-election. I like Palin but tonight on greta’s show she was asked if she was running and she danced around the question. I would like to see her in the debates.
Mama Grizzly commented:
Honestly, Santorum would make a great president.
I still think Perry is a phony-baloney.
Bachman and Gingrich are good candidates.
I liked Romney’s choice of what to bring to the White House.
Sure wanted to hear a substantive answer on what to do about the horrific situation in Afghanistan regarding women and girls.. Answer was pretty much “be warm, be fed, now go on your way…”. Belch. Can’t believe they didn’t let Bachman take that one.
Again, these aren’t true debates. They are glorified interview sessions. The media co told direction and content.
Mama Grizzly commented:
control direction…
(sorry again)

It’s clear who GP is favoring, and I kind of wish Jim would stay neutral–but I guess it’s his site.
I’m not a Perry believer myself. Too many problems. Plus, Perry held stock in the company–it wasn’t about the paltry $5000.
Mama Grizzly commented:
I’d trust an honest RINO rather than a dishonest “Conservative.”
Romney is not sneaky.
But here’s what troubles me about Perry–he goes to the Bilderberger meeting in Turkey and speaks about State and Federal rights and interplay??? Not good. The Bilderberger group of uber rich financiers have the goal to ELIMINATE nationalism in all forms because in their view it will be better for business (i.e. better for them). They were getting information from Perry on how to dismantle the American system–they weren’t there to applaud it. What was he doing there?
Nowadays the Iranians are our “friends”. Next it will be the Bilderbergers and their one-world agenda. Sounds like a case if the fox in the hen house to me.
We have good candidates. Perry has not earned my trust.
I’m glad Newt is there. It really grounds things and normalizes the “spin.”
All that said–I wouldn’t be surprised if “something” happens to suspend the elections in 2012. Or…they’ll have Hillary join Obama as a running mate.
Whatever happens–even if Romney is it–DON’T let Obama or Hillary back in. Any of the good candidates (Bachmann, Santorum, Romney, Gingrich) would select good people as part of the administration.
Obama and his group serve a hostile alien entity that is antithetical to our country’s founding and purpose.
Just sayin’.
