Conservative Governor John Kasich Discusses Stimulus With FOX News (Video)

Successful conservative Governor John Kasich (R-OH) discussed an interesting new idea on FOX News that would bring a true and real stimulus to our economy.
One idea I had that they want to think about – there is expected to be about a trillion dollars that companies have in profits that are sitting outside of America. And a lot of these companies would like to bring this money home but the tax rates are so high that they instead are investing in places other than America. I think the notion of letting them bring that money back here at either a low tax rate or maybe a one-time pass on that would be a stimulus plan that would make some sense. It doesn’t involve public money, it involves the money that the companies have made, the profits they could bring back and re-invest and maybe improve their workforce; to buy plants and equipment and things like that. And give them a greater sense of confidence so they are willing to jump in.
Governor Kasich appeared with Fred Thompson on Fox News last week.
Governor Kasich knows what it takes to get things done, and to do it right. The S&P recently upgraded Ohio’s credit outlook while the federal government was downgraded.

Frankly they would be crazy to bring the money back here where the Administration and government at all levels is so anti-business. So many ridiculpous rules and regulations, the money would be wasted here.

The President’s rumored plan actually does appear to work in reducing unemployment numbers. By instructing government statisticians to extend the current modified model — which no longer counts you as unemployed after 12 months, to a new definition of 90 days — the unemployment rate will almost immediately be under 9%, at least for the next 12-18 months until we may need to lower it again.
President Obama’s advisers have a point in this approach if you haven’t found a job, you just aren’t trying and we’re not going to impair a great leader’s popularity and re-election chances because of you. There’s plenty of jobs everywhere. Go get one. Get off your ass.
In this respect, I do hope they tie the actuarial adjustment to Michelle’s “Let’s Move” campaign, not only moving statistical baselines and models as government accountants have been doing since Obama’s reign, but commanding the lazy unemployed sloths to get off the couch and go work. Of course, Secretary of Agriculture Vilsak has a point that this could hurt food stamp numbers and I do hope they continue to allow people to receive them even when they do return to work, given the dramatic boost to the economy they provide (each dollar spent on food stamps generating $1 million in Chinese-purchased Federal debt, and 200 Federal jobs saved).

#s 3, 4, 5…..You are precisely correct! The commies and rinos must be removed, their disgusting regs rolled back and spending reduced drastically, in order for the economy to regain the impetus for growth and health.
Kasich’s idea is good, but only after the business climate changes. Abolish the epa, the energy dept. and the education dept., among others. Send the bureaucrats packing at ALL levels of government.

No dice! This administration told Gibson if you use wood finished by workers in Madagascar instead of their American workers their problems will go away. How do you invest in anything with such an administration? Remember they have cas sustein the regulator in chief.
The private sector will continue to feel like Hansel & Gretel being fattened up prior to their slaughter. The Democrats have proven they believe in central planning and pay to play politics which leaves little room for a small business private sector that provides the bulk of employment. No point in investing when all they want to do is take it away or force you out of business with regulations if you do not unionize or play ball.

the best thing that could happen to the economy would be for the american worker to recapture the right to the fruits of their labor from the politicans. they could spend that mioney for goods and services instead of the politicans using it to pay people not to work to get their votes. that would create jobs instead of people on the dole. the politicans are not the solution to our economic problems they are the cause.

The national debt is astronomical, but the trillion could allow businesses to grow here in America which creates wealth year after year. View it as seed to grow a crop. Obviously it is not the only solution, but it has potential to be a part of a larger plan.

We must have nothing less than a repeal of all corporate income taxes, not just a temporary exemption for just the repatriated profits. Such an act will be only honest revelation of the hidden tax we, the purchasers of corporate products and services are the source of every cent of such taxes. Politicians have hidden these costs from us for far too long.

Another common sense solution that will never see the light of day. I have heard way too much from the Congressional Black Caucus and their manipulation on ways to keep their constituents down, however, I cannot find any responses or ideas put forth by the Congressional White Caucus. Can anyone PLEASE post a link to the Congressional White Caucus so I can get more informed on any ideas and policies they have put out there!
