More hope and change…

The Obama National Labor Relations Board moved to eliminate secret ballot election protections this week. The NLRB removed barriers that enabled workers to protect themselves from union bosses’ bullying and coercive tactics.
Matthew Boyle at The Daily Caller reported:
On Tuesday the National Labor Relations Board announced three new decisions that industry experts say will likely hurt the economy and cost American jobs.
The first and likely most controversial NLRB ruling overturned a 2007 decision that gave workers nationwide the right to protect themselves from union bosses’ bullying and coercive tactics with secret ballot elections.
Via its newly-decided Lamons Gasket case, the NLRB eliminated the 2007 Dana Corp ruling, which the National Right to Work Foundation said protected workers from “coercive practices” union organizers often used to “bully or mislead employees.”
The Dana Corp. decision allowed workers the opportunity to request a secret ballot election within a 45-day window following a “card-check” organizing effort. Card-check organizing efforts are when union bosses try to get workers they’re targeting to sign cards indicating they want to have a union election.
What union bosses often neglect to tell workers is that if enough workers sign cards, there’s no need for an election. They’d already be unionized.
“The Obama Labor Board’s ruling to kill the Dana Corp. precedent that allows workers a secret ballot vote to kick out a union that gained control of the workplace in an abusive ‘card check’ campaign adds to an already exhaustive list of paybacks from the Obama Administration to Big Labor,” NRTW Foundation president Mark Mix said in a statement. “Big Labor and its allies have launched a full-scale assault on worker freedom and the Obama Administration is working tirelessly to appease them through bureaucratic means after they failed in Congress.”

Honestly speaking: we need protection from other Americans, such as union criminals. Never forget that Americans can be just as ugly or worse than people from other countries if given the chance.
Obama REALLY wants to give them that chance: recruits for his “national security force.”

Does anyone here think he’s given up on that goal? Answer NO. TSA, Union, black, La Raza, and Moslem “vicitims” of America’s “racism,” — all are candidates. Open borders and in fact, no borders in the Americas are the way to realize his dream.
The above video is one of the most clear examples of Obama’s aspirations to be Dictator of the USA. Study his face, his eyes, his chest. He is NO American president.
And watch out for other candidates being wolves in sheep’s clothing too. Never mind the talk. When Obama was campaigning his speeches sounded Reaganesque–he didn’t deliver on his promises and goals as stated, but he got the White House–he “won”–and that’s all that mattered. He knew he could destroy America economically if he won.
So . . . how’s he doin’ on that Maoist/Marxist goal of his? Hmmmm?
Sam Stone commented:
I have never seen a President of the US ever before govern by proxy as much as this one has. If he cannot pass his legislation he goes behind the lawful means to accomplish his socialist goals.
There must be someone out there to stop this usurpation of the constitution and the laws of the US.
Has any other President done so much without Congressional approval?

Right–which is WHY Obama is trying to divide Congress–get them sparing with each other rather than him, by creating his special task force on the economy–those “so brilliant” that they can make policy for the rest of Congress.

Mr. Perry, should you become our next POTUS, I pray that you will deny yourself the illegitimate power of this sort and accept that all legislative powers are in the hands of Congress and not in the hands of the executive. Should you do this, you would defang a great amount of abuse to the people. You would also eliminate the purpose of a great deal of the Fed govt and the hundreds of agencies exercising illegitimate power.
There is really not enough said, even amongst conservative circles, about the flatly unconstitutional nature of current executive branch power that is wielded through “regulation” that carry all of the coercive force of a law, but without the name, in order to dupe the simple-minded into accepting it as something other than a mechanism to frustrate the Constitution.

The Nazi credo that the individual belongs to the state also applies to business. Some businesses have been confiscated outright, on other what amounts to a capital tax has been levied. Profits have been strictly controlled. Some idea of the increasing Governmental control and interference in business could be deduced from the fact that 80% of all building and 50% of all industrial orders in Germany originated last year with the Government. Hard-pressed for food- stuffs as well as funds, the Nazi regime has taken over large estates and in many instances collectivized agriculture, a procedure fundamentally similar to Russian Communism.”

Obama’s National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) has been aggressively reinterpreting the law to foist unions on workers—whether they want them or not. The Board famously filed charges against Boeing for creating jobs at a nonunion plant in South Carolina. Today the Board announced its most aggressive move yet: snap elections.
Union organizers do not impartially advocate workers’ best interests. They are salesmen. They get paid to persuade workers to become dues-paying union members. Unions may legally use any number of misleading tactics to win worker support. Some organizers rely on aggressive sales tactics such as “SPIN selling.” SPIN stands for Situation, Problem, Implication, and Need payoff–the four emotional states through which organizers lead employees in order to secure a signed union-authorization card. Through it organizers persuade workers that a union will solve their problems at work—whether or not a union could actually help. Unions also train organizers to avoid the potential downsides to unionization, like strike histories or dues increases.

1938 there was an “election” in Austria over whether Austria should enter the Reich or not. The “election” was like this:
You had a ballot with two circles. One, the big one, was for YES. The small one was for NO. There were no voting booths. You had to make your cross in front of the “officials”, who, by this time, were all Nazis. There were SA guards in the room. The commander of the operation would tell you “This is where you make your mark” and point at the big circle. The people who refused to do so, were beaten up by the SA guards.
This was another “no secret ballot election”.

re Will they? It may well come down to Clarence Thomas which would be a delicious irony, would it not..
‘If Toobin’s revionist take is correct, (and I defer to his knowledge of the direction of modern constitutional thought) it means that liberal America has spent a generation mocking a Black man as an ignorant fool, even as constitutional scholars stand in growing amazement at the intellectual audacity, philosophical coherence and historical reflection embedded in his judicial work.
Toobin is less interested in exploring why liberal America has been so blind for so long to the force of Clarence Thomas’ intellect than in understanding just what Thomas has achieved in his lonely trek across the wastes of Mordor. And what he finds is that Thomas has been pioneering the techniques and the ideas that could not only lead to the court rejecting all or part of President Obama’s health legislation; the ideas and strategies Thomas has developed could conceivably topple the constitutionality of the post New Deal state.’

Then there is an issue of freedom of religion..
‘Which schools are Catholic and which are not? And who decides?
Even the Church’s modern-day efforts to assert itself as the arbiter — beginning with the 1990 apostolic constitution “Ex Corde Ecclesiae” — have proven somewhat controversial, despite the clear reading of canon law: “[N]o university may bear the title or name Catholic university without the consent of the competent ecclesiastical authority.”
But if it is controversial even for the Church to decide this question, how much more controversial is it for the government to interfere?
The National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), a federal panel that arbitrates disputes between workers, unions and businesses, has lately put itself in the business of deciding which schools are really Catholic.
Traditionally, Catholic schools have been exempted from the National Labor Relations Act, and therefore from the NLRB’s control. Because mandatory collective bargaining on work rules could compromise an institution’s religious freedom, courts have held that their workforces cannot unionize under the act’s provisions.
In two recent cases, the NLRB’s regional directors have circumvented this obstacle by holding that Catholic schools — namely, Manhattan College in New York and St. Xavier University in Chicago — are not, in fact, Catholic.
The decisions are still subject to appeal, but for now the Church says these schools are Catholic, and the government says they’re not.’
