Dem Rep Blames Black Unemployment on Racism (Video)

Democrat Representative Frederica Wilson (D-FL) told MSNBC last night that black unemployment was due to racism.

Real Clear Politics reported:

“When you look at African American males, 40% of them are unemployed, those under 30 years of age. I understand exactly the entire nation must be involved in this recovery but the black community is experiencing a great recession. That’s what we’re experiencing,” Rep. Frederica Wilson (D-FL) told MSNBC.

“And all of the growth in the past 30 years, we see it slipping away. From home ownership, the middle class; it’s slipping away from our hands. And it has a lot to do with many issues. Racism, shipping jobs overseas, access — no access to technology. You know, the digital divide is there and many of the new jobs that’s what it requires. So, we have a problem.”

That’s it. Let’s pump in wifi. That will fix the problem. After all, wifi is a human right.

The last 45 years of Democratic social policy has destroyed the black family and community by making them victims dependent on the government. I think that qualifies as racism.

  • Remco Kimber

Keep it up. Keep blaming others and chimeras like “racism” as the causes of black un-achievement.

Yeap, Whitey’s right there forcing all them black girls to have babies with no fathers. And Whitey’s right there forcing all them black kids to watch TV endlessly. And on and on.

I blame the recession in USA on racism as well: 93% of the blacks caused the seriousness of the recession by voting for Obama. Even McCain would have got rid of the recession long ago.

  • Major Kong

Somehow she failed to cite the disastrous “Great Society” programs that have left blacks worse off than before the programs’ inception. Just an over-site I’m sure. More of that nettlesome “road to hell being paved with good intentions”. Wonder what the subliminal message is that she’s trying to send wearing all that RED?

I’ve stopped having sympathy for those who will NOT do what is necessary to improve their own conditions, as in wilful refusal to exercise common sense.

And Step #1 is to Stop Voting Democratic.

The racism charge has become a laugh. Go on, call me racist. I’ve stopped caring.

  • Sam Stone

The GP writers need to write a chronological listing of the names the Tea Party has been called since the beginning. “Tri corner hat wearing loons” “A flash in the pan.” “old retired SS recipients” “Old white people” “bunch of racists” “terrorists” “the enemy” “Hostage takers”

my how far they have come in such a short time!

From nothing that will fade to the worlds worst group of racist terrorist hostage takers.

Do you know WHY the progression of the name calling? NONE of them has worked so far and the influence has spread so wide. And these progressives know they are in trouble.

  • arnonerik

I wondered why unemployment of Blacks increased while Obama was President.
Thank you, Congresswoman, because now we know it’s because Obama is a racist.

  • BS-meter

This one nearly broke the needle on the ol’ meter. If, for the last 30 years such strides had been made, it must have been because none of the causes she lists were a factor.

Now, with our post-racial president at the helm of the ship of state, suddenly racism has reared its ugly head and undone all of this progress? Correct me if I’m wrong, but out of the last 30 years, twenty of them were guided by republican presidents. So does this mean that the chump now residing at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave is responsible for this catastrophic unravel? Well, DUH!

How did this woman get elected? Wait! Don’t tell me…..let me guess. Just like the “Won”, she appears a product of affirmative action. That, and a chronic “I-am-a-victim” mentality.

She should be arrested for being STUPID in a No-Stupid zone.

  • paul52

How many of these 40% unemployed are convicted felons? Can read and write at an adult level? Have sired illegitimate children? Are all inked up? Are even looking for work? Are 3rd generation welfare recipients?… BTW, some rodeo clown somewhere is missing a hat!

  • arnonerik

It must be Obama’s white half because we know it’s impossible for a Black man or woman to be racist.

  • DanO

Uhm. We need to come to terms with the FACT that Ms. Wilson is correct.

Of course black unemployment is due to racism.

When blacks overwhelming vote for for a candidate that had no accomplishments outside of teaching ACORN how to shake down banks for NINJNA* loans because he better matched their melanin count, that’s racism.

And thanks to that racism, we now have The Barackalypse.

  • zeke

Digital divide? No. I live at the heart of an Amish community. Of course, they have no computers in their home or shops. They do have access to them at the local library. For free. They utilize the library constantly for the technology and, thankfully, for the books. They come in to town in their buggies in all kinds of weather. It is an EFFORT! They don’t trash the equipment either. SO, don’t give me that crap about the digital divide. Opportunity is there except for the overseers like people on this DISGUSTING Black Caucus who are the real villians of this story. It pays to keep your own people down doesn’t it?

  • HeavyDee

You’re right Congresswoman, it’s racism!! Pure and simple racism. However, it’s not on the part of those that you accuse. The racism in America comes mostly from the left and their glorious social programs that have taken away any and all desire to improve their lot in life. Modern day slaves only have to work one or two days a year and vote to keep their democrat masters in power. Their vote ensures that little trickle down of poverty keeps flowing to them while their master stuffs his face at the trough and then tells them they can’t do any better for themselves without his benevolent care. BS through and through!!

If one of Wilson’s constituents came into our office looking for a job, dressed like Wilson is in that interview, the job would remain unfilled. I guess we’re bigots, because we don’t hire people who dress like clowns who just popped out of the Little Car. We have the audacity to demand that our employees show some common sense and propriety. My God, this woman blamed others for the problems in the black community.

When, oh when will blacks wise-up and figure out their troubles are because of social programs that make them slaves to the liberals. It is the liberal programs that keep them in the gutter.

So sad, conservatives can only explain things for so long. You would think they would be ready to give Republicans a try…

  • DINORightMarie

Okay……, explain to me how it is that these 40% (her number) of blacks unemployed up to age 30 are “victims” of a “digital divide” – yet they all have: cell phones with texting and online access (gotta get those ring tones, you know); they have xBoxes, Wii players, PS4s, etc. in their homes; oh, and most have big-screen, HD-TVs, cable or satellite. Even in the worst urban schools, they have PCs of some kind and access to educational software. Starting from elementary school age. Not just in high schools.

Technical/digital divide? Bull. It’s an excuse.

They can’t make change because they can’t add or subtract, or even use a calculator? That I believe. Can’t speak proper English, or interact with people in the general population? That I believe. Because of….racism? Nope. No statistics or evidence to show it, either. Poor education due to poor public schools, inadequate support from home/family. That I believe.

As to shipping jobs overseas? That is true. So, STOP SUPPORTING DEMOCRATS AND UNIONS who are: destroying public schools with liberal education practices etc., raising taxes, and raising union dues, and more! Stop supporting those who are implementing failed policies that are forcing “EEEEEVIIIIILL BUSINESSES” (aka “employers”) to move jobs or product creation overseas. That is Democrats’ work, not Republicans.

Fog on the brain? Ignorance? Believe what you’ve been told? Yes, that is a cause. All point back to DEMOCRATS, like this one feeding the masses with class warfare rhetoric. Allen West was correct when he said on Hannity the other night that Democrats are trying to keep African-Americans on the “21st century plantation” which is downright evil.

I predict when people really, REALLY figure out who’s been keeping them down, THEN we’ll see anger – and rioting.

Democrats: Be afraid. You reap what you sow, or as one verse says, “[you] sow the wind, and [you] reap the whirlwind” (Hosea 8:7 – modified; “they->you”)

Here is why your people are not getting jobs Congresswoman. From one of your own.

“Take those God-darn hoodies down, especially in the summer,” Mr. Nutter, the city’s third black mayor, said in an angry lecture aimed at black teens. “Pull your pants up and buy a belt ‘cause no one wants to see your underwear or the crack of your butt.”

“If you walk into somebody’s office with your hair uncombed and a pick in the back, and your shoes untied, and your pants half down, tattoos up and down your arms and on your neck, and you wonder why somebody won’t hire you? They don’t hire you ‘cause you look like you’re crazy,” the mayor said. “You have damaged your own race.”

I am a reference librarian at a public library. There is no question that there is still a large segment of the population that is effected by the digital divide, but I have to say that it is a self-imposed penalty. There are some people who can read at an adult level and have (still) never operated a computer. After a little instruction they don’t have a problem. But many others cannot operate a computer because they cannot read. And most of those, unfortunately, are black.

Too many young black people just don’t do school. And because of that they can’t learn as adults. It isn’t racism if a black person can’t read, but it is a problem.

The Obama Plan – Part One

[“The president actually considered quitting. He really did. But now he’s going on the attack. He wants to give a big F-You to White America-that’s actually one of his primary motivations. You think the race card has been played up before? Just wait. 2012 is gonna be the most brutal political cycle we have ever witnessed. Ever.”]

The Obama Plan – Part Two

[“Even if it means the threat of race riots. They are willing to go that far – go down that road if need be. If the Obama team can’t guilt enough of White America into voting for them in 2012 – they are just fine with trying to scare the sh-t out of them to do it.”]

    The Obama Plan Part Three

[So, where was I? Yeah, the Obama Plan Part One had ended with Obama admitting that he was no good at this here president gig and asking George W Bush for his advice. Then Part Two, more of the same but now turning to the Tea Party for some advice on strategy. Now, Part Three, Obama organizing his own Tea Party and inviting the Tea Party leaders… if only he could figure out…

And with Waters and Madam Cowgirl using the race card, you’d think that Obama has heard these comments. Something has to give. There are many of us who have heard nasty comments about the Tea Party and this is a referendum on Whites. Astroturf, terrorists, racists and Nazis.

This is a serious problem and has reared its evil face greater since the election of Obama.

Personally, this is a terrible reflection on America. This seems to be common place and I could only hope that others are disgusted and tired of this. I believe that when a representative of any color or party uses such language needs to be fired. You may think it won’t happen but this is getting so far out of hand. And is happening way to often.

I am sick of it. I am more than this and raised with respect for others. These are representatives and they should never be voted to represent America. We are being laughed at already now we are be called racists and nothing will be done about it.

    A real Shame.

  • Patty

And the other day I actually heard that the left can say or do whatever the wish as the right just takes it. Why? Write these representatives and ask them to apologizes because we can end this one person at a time. Flood Waters website too. Next one who calls us a racist flood their website.

Is there any question, given the subprime grifter in the White House, that the answer to the black-mob problem in DC and Philly and dozens of other places is going to be a big pile of federal dollars for the affected communities.

This rodeo clown’s jive act is calculated. Most of those black men she’s talking about don’t want jobs. Otherwise they would have gotten themselves something more than a fifth-grade education. This is all about…well, to quote Maxine Waters: “We want that money.”

  • Patty

I am sick of it. It is happening way too much. It is angering the people of this nation who have lived through racism and lived through the end of it. END? It seems those who lived through it are teaching their children and their children teach them the same nasty words and actions of those who hated White man so very much.

It is hard to live through that time again and these representatives perpetuate the hate over and over again.

I wish for a Public Apology and even Pelosi a White woman is saying the same thing. Shame Shame on them. This situation needs some discussion and NOW. Americans should never be treated with such disrespect.

Now today, we see that the lack of productive values in the Black and Latino communities are clearly the problem. There is little interest in education when it is free in the USA through the 12th grade. Thus, anti-intellectualism within their OWN community is a real problem. We see hoodlum worship, gang activities, drugs, single parent families, poor work ethics and absolutely no interest in the postponement of gratification amongst their youth. They live every minute for today and they do NOTHING for tomorrow.

Well folks, its now tomorrow. I no longer have any sympathy for the Black or Latino people who have nothing but anger for the white people. I am tired of their anger. I am now angry when I hear people like this race-bating congresswoman from Florida placing blame on all the people that did exactly what they wanted. These people will NEVER be satisfied. Now we hear Maxine Waters saying, “The Tea Party can Go to straight to hell!”. We let me now say to the malingering Blacks and Latinos who refuse to change their values and their behavior in order to have productive lives – YOU CAN GO TO HELL TOO! And by the way, in case you haven’t noticed, look around, your communities are indeed going to hell. – by the actions of your own hands.

Look at the Asian people. Many of them came here from SE Asia with little more then a bathing suit and a pair of flip-flops. Look at how they, as a different race than the majority of Americans, came here and managed to do so well. God bless the Asian people! And to the Blacks and Latinos that persist in going down the dark road, I say go out and buy a toilet brush and learn how to use it really well. May all of you lazy, illiterate, angry, malingerers spend your old age cleaning the toilets of the Asians that delayed gratification, embraced education, kept their families together, stayed out of prison, didn’t waste their money on gold teeth and $300 sneakers, worked hard and transcended whatever difficulties they encountered. No, the Asians didn’t live to dribble the basketball, they picked up Algebra books instead – and good for them. May they inherit America in the future because they deserve it.

Well if Frederica thinks “cargo-culting” O’Keefe is going to summon up Hanna Giles for some ACORN ‘green’, she at least needs better glasses, a cape, and way more Natanola skin bleach cream. Otherwise all she’ll get is Whoopie Goldberg.

For this Twit In The Hat caricature of a supposedly thinking human being, the only thing that is definitely, positively, 100% racially-motivated-unemployed are her brain cells — both of them. Some day, perhaps, they will discover each other and work together in synaptic unison.
