The FOX News Politics twitter feed was hacked yesterday. The account’s icon had been changed from the Fox News Politics logo and featured the following description: “H4CK3D BY TH3 5CR1PT K1DD3S.”
The “Script Kiddies” identified themselves on the FOX News Politics twitter feed but later came back and deleted the evidence. Unfortunately for the hackers someone saved a copy.

The brilliant leftist hackers even left a link to their personal twitter account.
Hacker’s Personal account was @TheScriptKiddie on twitter, but After hack, Twitter has suspended his account. Then hacker made another announcement via Fox News Politics Twitter account that “twitter has suspended TheScriptKiddie please follow @ScriptKiddi3 for future releases. we have confirmed Fox News is aware of the attack.”
The hackers then posted several false reports that U.S. President Barack Obama was assassinated.
Obama dead

#ObamaDead, it’s a sad 4th of July. RT to support the late president’s family, and RIP. The shooter will be found
Today CBC News reported that the US Secret Service will investigate the hijacking of the FOX News Politics twitter account.
CBC.ca reported:
The U.S. Secret Service will investigate the hijacking of a Fox News Twitter account by hackers who posted false reports that U.S. President Barack Obama was assassinated.
Secret Service spokesman George Ogilvie confirmed the investigation to CBC News on Monday.
Six tweets from FoxNewsPolitics, which has more than 34,100 followers, alleged the president was shot and killed at a restaurant while campaigning in Iowa. They were posted starting at about 2 a.m. ET on Monday, Independence Day.
Fox News announced on its website later in the morning that it had alerted the Secret Service, which is responsible for protecting the president, about the incident.
On its website Monday morning, FoxNews.com said, “Hackers sent out several malicious and false tweets claiming that President Obama had been assassinated.
“Those reports are incorrect, of course, and the president is spending the July 4 holiday with his family.”
Fox News, which is based in New York City, later added it had alerted the Secret Service. Jeff Misenti, vice-president and general manager of Fox News Digital, was quoted as saying the website was requesting a detailed investigation by Twitter to figure out how the attack occurred and how to “prevent future unauthorized access into FoxNews.com accounts.”
Good luck Script Kiddies.
It looks like you’re busted.

I wonder if these hackers are libtards?
Anonymoustoyou commented:
Look at the second twitter message: “more embarrassment for FoxNews is imitate”.
Imitate? Did they mean imminent? Is this an example of our fine educational system cranking out students? These people can’t spell and they break the law. This is NOT American ingenuity at work. This is just plain thuggery and stupidity.
Kate commented:
Until these hackers are given huge fines and jail, it won’t stop. They need to get tough on these people and get serious about punishing them.
Kate commented:
Probably part of those going after Fox News. Move on or media matters.

There is no such thing as true anonymity on the Internet. These jokers will be caught.
Taqiyyotomist commented:
Any person in this government who decides to go after the folks who hacked Fox News will be summarily fired, guaranteed. And everyone knows it. The administration and nearly everyone currently in D.C. absolutely hate Fox, and most of them applaud any malicious or destructive actions against the network.
These hackers will be hired by someone in the administration.
Because this act was a resume — a job application.
Illini Patriot commented:
At a minimum, the Secret Service needs to have a conversation with Progressive PST, a political advocacy contracting firm that has advertised and provided services that utilize Twitter and other social media to misrepresent and disparage.
The head of Progressive PST, was also known to brag about script kiddies extensively when he was active on the IRC #hack channel and as it was part of his nomenclature, could be seen as a reference to throw off investigators.
I don’t have specific knowledge that this entity was involved in the Fox incident, but do know of their prior and current services offered for progressive candidates, and their leadership’s hatred of Fox News. Their head also has an extensive hacking reputation, though most of those who know of his skills would concur that he is nothing more than a script kiddie when it comes to meaningful expertise.
At a minimum, it would be beneficial for the authorities to have a conversation with an unregistered political action group that claims to offer such services for hire.
lyle commented:
The perpetrators will get kid-glove treatment from the media and the DOJ.
Fox must pursue this case through the courts with a vengeance. This twitter hack was too idiotic in its content to be credible, but a more sophisticated hack in the future could be damaging and dangerous.
Hackers who consider committing such a crime need to know that it is not a prank, and that they will regret it. The fact that they ‘hate’ their victim will not be a mitigating factor.

These children better stock up on some Top Raman, they’re about to get 100 hours of house arrest with an ankle bracelet.
ER commented:
I found interesting the contrasting reactions to this incident, comparing the reaction of Americans (this so not credible) to the reaction outside the US — how insecure our media was, the notion of what if in coordination with another operation hackers simultaneously hacked into major news media and changed the lead post, etc. Fox, having been hacked only a few weeks before this apparently didn’t learn its lesson.

@Illini Patriot
Do you have links or screen shots of Nasty Neal’s ties to script kiddies? He’s been stirring things up elsewhere, it would be nice to tie them all together.

Nothing will come of it.
Remember when the Secret Service tweeted “Cannot.Stand.The Blather”in reference to FOX News and the White House itself stated FOX was not a “Real News” organization.
Obama is laughing his ass off at this hack.
This administration and Big Media have created an army of drones who do the dirty work for them
Twitter and the SS fully back Obama and those who are against FOX News

Wouldn’t be interesting if it turns out the Script Kiddies’ ISP address/es belong to @MMFA wonkers? smile

Wouldn’t surprise me that this bunch isn’t in some way receiving funding from George Soros or an affiliate memeber of his attempts to undermine FOXNEWS.

You’re in the big leagues now kiddies, and several tons of hard reality are about to land right on your empty little skulls. I trained with Secret Service agents in MSG school; they aren’t exactly the most humorous people I’ve ever met — to put it mildly. Gonna be a bad day in intrawebz land for the ADD arm-wavers when the Men in Black catch up to them.
BS61 commented:
Well since the Secret Service couldn’t seem to find out that the White House Gate Crashers were Obama’s PLO lovin’ buddies, I’m not so confident about them helping Fox!

I’m pretty sure it was a password exploit, similar to the Palin “Hacking” Case.
