The state-run media wants you to believe that tax lawyer Michele Bachmann is so dumb…
But then writes this caption on a photo:

“Understanding important serving is helps make you a success story, Marcus Bachmann says.”
Umm, yeah… That makes sense.

Sure it isn’t part of the new, dirty tricks “Fleabag U” narrative?
That media shrew yesterday was reading off prepared notes, not winging it.
Johnny "Stanford" Davis commented:
The media was just quoting Bachmann. If Bachmann made a stupid comment with no gramatical syntax its not the media’s fault when they report it accurately.
banshee commented:
It’s an awkward sentence but that’s all that’s wrong with it. Basically, understanding the importance of service is what makes someone successful. One may agree or not, but the meaning was accessible.

Really? The media was just quoting Bachmann? Then why was the caption changed to this:
Understanding public service helps make you a success story, Marcus Bachmann says.
You are a genius! Keep making “Stanford” proud.
banshee commented:
I do think someone left out a *how* there, as in “how important service is.” Oh, hell, YOU try reading a 4×3 inch screen six hours a day!! 8>
banshee commented:
Lol, Chisum, thanks for saying it better than I could!
wanumba commented:
When they do that, and put … says … they are NOT direct quoting, tho’ it IMPLIES it’s a direct quote.
They are pushing a “Fleabag U” narrative. The bad conjugation of ‘is” is classic poor educated grammar.
gus commented:
Key word. “SERVICE”. The Bachmann’s have served. The Obama’s have never sacrificed a dollar a day or a moment, that has not been paid for by someone else.
kansas commented:
Bachmann and Palin both went to Fleabag U according to the media? Ironic that is F.U.
oki2 commented:
#8 … It depends on what the definition of “is” is.
MN Jim commented:
It didn’t take long for Bachman to get “Palined” by the Liberal media. If only the media paid 1% of this attention to obama’s many faults, the country would not be in this crisis.
Callipygian1 commented:
Before anyone calls either Palin or Michele Backman an idiot, read Michele Obama’s senior thesis. The blunt end of a pencil is sharper than she is…
Jim Ryan commented:
Stanford is just mad that Bachmann has 25 IQ points on him.
Don’t worry, Stanford, Palin only has 20 on you.
Cracker Mike commented:
Obama had better be very wary of debating Bachman. She is intelligent and thinks on her feet and can speak without a teleprompter. It will take a huge effort on the part of the msm to protect Obama and conceal the fact that he is a stumbler and mumbler without the ability to speak in a complete sentence. I’ve seen his speech pattern and mental function in my drug damaged patients. Obama is fried.

No.
The state-run media wants to distract you from nose-diving house prices, anemic economic growth, unendingly high unemployment, low wage growth, outrageous food/fuel prices, groping grandma at the airport, six-count-them! wars, highest Misery Index since Carter, etc.
The state media cannot write or broadcast anything about the nonentity they invented in 2008.
Everything Wrong War Obama touches goes to he!!.
No Man commented:
Quick, Liz Trotta: ask Obama what he did with the $3 trillion he just added to the national debt. I bet your glib Ivy League genius can ‘splain that better than Governor Palin can explain the Alaska State budget surplus.
Conservative to the Core commented:

I will say this for Michelle Obama: she recognized prejudice when she encountered it.
For those who haven’t read her thesis, she grew up in Chicago and never was really made conscious of the color of her skin, until she went to Princeton, and met very Liberal people. She found out that, the more Liberal the person, the more they made her feel an outsider.
I went to DC about the time she went to Princeton, and I noticed the same phenomenon, and I am white. I came from Texas, where the attitude in the chemical plants was a raucous acceptance, pretty much something out of “Blazing Saddles,” and arrived in Northern Virginia, and saw no black people in ordinary positions of authority for months on end.
Later, I moved to Chicago, and found once again, normal adults of all colors and persuasions working very matter-of-factly together.
Michelle would have been happier if she had met up with some Republicans during her formative years, but she thinks she is dancing with the ones that brung her.

I know you guys are all in bed with the liberal media, but let me quote you something that some of the intellectually-honest media said:
“Palin and Bachmann took the same history course at Fleabag U.” – Fox News commentator
I guarantee you Stanford University kicks the ass of Fleabag U any day of the week! (As do Occidental and Harvard, for that matter.)
Dejapa682 commented:
The main point is that the unintelligible portion of the caption is in quotes…thereby making Marcus seem like an idiot also for not being able to speak correctly

Of course it does. All one has to do is read your comments to verify that.

This school snobery has got to be recognized for it’s basic insecurity. I went to school with people from “prestigous’ universities and from “podunk u”. Generally speaking there was no difference in who passed their National Boards on the 1st attempt and who didn’t. Podunk may have had a slight edge in success. “Unexpectedly”, that is. School inflation has reached the point of no return and tuitions are the WORST “investment” you can make for your long term financial stability. Go to a decent local college and get out owing $20k and NOT $250K.
