DNC Chair Wasserman Schultz Announces: Democrats Own the Economy

Finally, something we can all agree on…
DNC Chair Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz told reporters today that democrats own the economy.

The Politico reported:

Democrats are ready to take responsibility for the state of the economy and they deserve credit for putting it on the right track, the party’s chairwoman, Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, said on Wednesday.

“We own the economy. We own the beginning of the turnaround and we want to make sure that we continue that pace of recovery, not go back to the policies of the past under the Bush administration that put us in the ditch in the first place,” Wasserman Schultz told Mike Allen at POLITICO’s ‘Playbook Breakfast.’

Every Democrat office holder comes from the state, local or federal bureaucracy. If they are thrown out of office they go back to the bureaucracy. They could careless about the private sector.

Whichever reporter asked that question should be praised. It is a great question, and it will nail every Democrat, every time. “When do you own the economy? After three years? Five Years? After 10 or 15 Years?”

What can they answer to slither out of that question?

The “twist the knife” angle should be in response to any comment the Democrat makes about the last two years of the GWB Presidency – because Democrats controlled both houses of Congress, and all spending for that period.

I hope that we see this same line of questioning over over again – so that each and every Democratic incumbent can have his own personal version of this albatross hanging around his or her neck.
