Finally, something we can all agree on…
DNC Chair Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz told reporters today that democrats own the economy.

The Politico reported:

Democrats are ready to take responsibility for the state of the economy and they deserve credit for putting it on the right track, the party’s chairwoman, Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, said on Wednesday.

“We own the economy. We own the beginning of the turnaround and we want to make sure that we continue that pace of recovery, not go back to the policies of the past under the Bush administration that put us in the ditch in the first place,” Wasserman Schultz told Mike Allen at POLITICO’s ‘Playbook Breakfast.’

  1. If the GOP doesn’t use that quote by Schultz in ads from now until the 2012 election, then there is proof positive they don’t want to win.

  2. Which “own” does she mean? ‘Overlording’ or ‘responsible for’?

  3. What. A. Fool.

Does she KNOW what she just said to all the unemployed, lost-my-house- Americans?

  4. She does know her party controlled the hill the last 2 years of Bush’s term?

  5. Job well done, Debbie.

Now time to move on to your real calling, haunting houses.

Facts are as anathema to a Lib/Prog as garlic, holy water, and a cross is to a vampire.

  7. Every Democrat office holder comes from the state, local or federal bureaucracy. If they are thrown out of office they go back to the bureaucracy. They could careless about the private sector.

  8. THAT should keen the dems ( especially the ones running for office next year) up at nights. OT, it’s hard typing around a cat that’s curled up in front of the key board.

  9. Damn skippy you Demonrats own this economy.

    Whatever do you mean? ;)

  11. On post #4 I should have added by that fact alone they have owned the economy for the last four years. Well done Schultz glad you cleared that up for us.

  12. Damn right you libtards own the economy. I miss Bush when unemployment was 5%. Moronic demonrats – spend, spend and spend some more. I wonder if they even bother to balance their own budgets at home? Oh, by the way, demonrats, thank you so much for DS Wasserman. She is the PERFECT mouthpiece for your party. She is the gift that will keep on giving until Nov. 2012 when Zero is defeated by Herman Cain.

  13. Sorry for the typo. I meant to type DW Schultz.

  14. When Obama signed TARP and promised the economy would not exceed 8%, he bought it alright.

  15. Now it gets fun ….

“Because the Only Good Progressive is a Failed Progressive”

  16. She just blurts out whatever comes into her stupid head. (I notice that Barry, Pelousy, among other libtards do this too.) No wonder Rush calls her “Debbie Blabbermouth Schultz”.

  17. Whichever reporter asked that question should be praised. It is a great question, and it will nail every Democrat, every time. “When do you own the economy? After three years? Five Years? After 10 or 15 Years?”

What can they answer to slither out of that question?

The “twist the knife” angle should be in response to any comment the Democrat makes about the last two years of the GWB Presidency – because Democrats controlled both houses of Congress, and all spending for that period.

I hope that we see this same line of questioning over over again – so that each and every Democratic incumbent can have his own personal version of this albatross hanging around his or her neck.

    ‘Lovin’ it !

  18. Not only do the Democrats own this economy, they’re about to pay the price for destroying it in the first place.

  19. Are you better off than you were four years ago?

  20. They haven’t yet completed the destruction of the evil, unjust private sector.

You will not like whatever it is they that will replace it. Hint: look to Belgium.
