No wonder Obama thinks the GM bailout was such a great success
Because of your bailout cash GM was able to sponsor a propaganda movie glorifying the creation of the Chinese Communist Party.

According to an announcement posted on Shanghai GM’s official web site yesterday, whose title reads “joining hands with China Film Group, Cadillac whole-heartedly supports the making of the Birth of a Party.” (auto website)

Kerry Pickett at The Washington Times reported:

In late 2010, General Motors agreed to sponsor a propaganda film celebrating the 90th anniversary of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). The CCP made film titled (translated to English) “The Birth of a Party” or “The Great Achievement of Founding the Party” is set to premiere all over the Communist nation on June 15 reported China AutoWeb last September. The auto website adds:

“According to an announcement posted on Shanghai GM’s official web site yesterday, whose title reads “joining hands with China Film Group, Cadillac whole-heartedly supports the making of the Birth of a Party…”

The report goes further:

“As the CCP marries totalitarianism with capitalism and fools the people with entertainment, only the “politically correct” or stupid–or those who pretend to be so–can get rich. And GM seems to know this very well. While Audi, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and Volvo have all rushed to please China’s rich and powerful through physical enlargement (offering models of extended wheelbases), Cadillac gratifies the party orally, singing praises through a film.”

According to the above report, the film will discuss events that led up to the formation of the CCP following the 1917 Russian Revolution. When the movie first went into production GM signed up Cadillac as the “chief business partner” with the Communist Party, stating: “Cadillac whole-heartedly supports the making of the Birth of a Party.”

  1. Dreams of Mao Father: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Leap_Forward#Deaths_by_starvation

Rounding off body counts to the nearest 5 million.

Soooo, anyway, what’s it going to take to get you into this Commiellac today?

    “Dreams of Mao Father”

Funny you should say that. A couple of years back I happened to teach 20th century history to some home schoolers. One of the books I used was “Mao Tse-tung and His China” (1990) by Albert Marrin, Professor Emeritus and former chair of History at Yeshiva University. Having previously studied Mao a bit myself for a course in Asian History I was impressed by a couple of things: Marrin’s clarity and thoroughness in this book written for the 10-16 or so age group and ****** How very much Obama’s campaign slogans resemble Mao’s******* -

Hope & Change is an almost literal translation of one that Mao (generally acknowledged as a bit of a master sloganeer) used early on.

  3. Maybe GM can have a new ad slogan “The Great Leap Forward” and celebrate the 45 million Chinese murdered by the Communist Party under Mao between 1958 and 1962. Or the new “Tiananmen 1000″ model complete with a statue of Liberty hood ornament and bullet hole decals to celebrate the Massacre of at least 1000 Chinese protestors by Communist PAL soldiers. GM makes me sick.

  4. Can the Chinese hurry up and hire Obama & his legion now?…Barry wants to be Prezident of China.

  5. This is another reason we will never purchase a GM again.

  6. All the young Chinese engineers we work with here think that revolution is coming. They think the Chinese communist party is out of date. We’ll see if GM knows better.

  7. Isn’t this just one more reason to never purchase a GM product? They are bailed out with our money, their stock is not doing good, costing us even more money, the former head of GM lied to us in a commercial claiming that GM had paid back all it took from us (that would be Ed Whitacre formerly of AT & T) and then GM uses our money they got from us to promote a political system that is responsible for the deaths of millions of Chinese.

Perhaps Obama can give one of his “American companies need to do what is best for America” speeches naming GM as an example.

Did I not hear a while back that the Chinese actually bought a good chunk of GM stock during the IPO?

And of course we mustn’t forget that the money we used to bail out GM we had to borrow from the Chinese :(

  9. Speaking of totalitarianism married with capitalism..

‘The United States is rapidly becoming a totalitarian democracy.

As described by Israeli historian J. L. Talmon, totalitarian democracy is a political system in which lawfully elected representatives rule a nation state whose citizens, although granted the right to vote, have little or no participation in the decision-making process of government.

In a totalitarian democracy, the government is transformed from one based on traditional values and articles of faith into one in which social utility takes absolute precedence.

Having no allegiance to those traditional values and articles of faith upon which America was founded; Barack Hussein Obama is in the process of dismantling our Constitution to create his new “Amerika”.

Obama is a disciple of Chicago-native, Saul Alinsky, a neo-Marxist and community organizer, who wrote: “Rules for Radicals”, a guide which provides Obama’s operational model.

“The first step in community organization is community disorganization. Present arrangements must be disorganized if they are to be displaced by new patterns…. All change means disorganization of the old and organization of the new.” p.116

Obama’s plan for “disorganizing” America includes:

spending us back to the Stone Age i.e. crushing debt,
exponential growth of the public sector and the power of public sector unions (think Nazi Brownshirts),
    increase government dependency and regulation,
    open borders,
limiting free speech i.e. control and censoring of the internet,
doing nothing to prevent the introduction of Sharia Law into the US judicial system.’

Many American soldiers, sailors, Marines and airmen have died fighting Communism in distant lands.. now the Communists have brought the fight to America with the electoral coup d’etat of Zero. Are Americans as a free people willing to confront these usurpers and thugs or will we meekly bleat our acquiescence and live as sheep?

  10. #10… its all about destroying the existing order.

  11. Maybe Chairman O can show “Birth Of A Nation” at the same time they screen “Birth Of A Party”, they’re the exact same concept.

I mean, who could possibly ever disagree with D.W. Griffith or CFG at the same time?!

  12. You didn’t think, I hope, that GM got to be big in China by building high-quality cars.

As for me, no more UAW-made vehicles. I love my Toyota, my first and not my last.

  13. DC is quickly resembling Russia’s politburo. Pretty soon we’ll have elections but it won’t matter because HHS, EPA etc will operate beyond the legislators reach.
Friedman wrote about his admiration of the Chinese system. Anita Dunn also admired mao tse-tung. They also acknowledge that such central planning is not in the DNA of Americans.

  14. And the United Auto Workers has said nothing because the UAW has no problem with slavery. I worked with the UAW, they are despicable. They want what they want, if the rest of the world burns, they are fine with that.
