The Texas House passes bill banning Obama TSA patdowns of ‘Anus, Sex Organ, Buttocks, Breast’…

TSA screeners will no longer be allowed to accost little 3 year-old girls coming through the airport in Texas.
Finally, some sanity.
CBS local reported:
The Texas House passed a bill that would make it a criminal offense for public servants to inappropriately touch travelers during airport security pat-downs.
Approved late Thursday night, the measure makes it illegal for anyone conducting searches to touch “the anus, sexual organ, buttocks, or breast of another person” including through clothing.
It also prohibits searches “that would be offensive to a reasonable person.”
The bill’s chief sponsor is Republican Rep. David Simpson, who said, “this has to do with dignity and travel, and prohibiting indecent, groping searches.”
He believes it will keep Transportation Security Administration officials from treating travelers like criminals, though the measure may be superseded by federal law.
After a brief but raucous debate, lawmakers approved the measure with little opposition — drawing applause from supporters.

this picture is just totally disgusting ! if that was my 3 yr old daughter, i would have shoved the airline ticket up that screeners ass and went home ! THIS HAS TO STOP !….and it’s up to the American people to stop it ! WAKE UP, what parent in their right mind would allow this to happen to their 3 yr old ??
Robert commented:
The federal government would rather engage in this indecency than risk not being politically correct. An un-PC approach would involve profiling and also very directly addressing the “religious” ideology that justifies the killing of innocent people.
befuddled commented:
just as with the EPA, their federal laws supersedes your family rights to not have their junk groped. i think it’s a silly piece of legislation, especially since it can’t be enforced.
a southpark episode referenced this very problem. frustrated by long lines at the airport, mr. garrison was prompted to use his BSME degree from Denver Community College to build his own mode of transportation. he built a machine that was as fast as an airplane but had two pulsating shafts that had to be inserted into the anus and the mouth, which made it… highly uncomfortable.still, it proved to be less of a hassle than going through the security checkpoint at the airports. obviously, the machine became so popular that the government had to shut the company down because the airlines began losing money to the new invention. anyhow, it’s a bit amusing that we have all the checkpoints with an added benefit of a little molestation before boarding our flights. guess this it what happens when 52% of the voters get control of an entire country.

All travelers? What about those which would fit the profile of a terrorist . . .one without baggage, a one way ticket, multiple ID’s . . .say, like Rageh Almurisi a/k/a Rageit Almurisi, the fella who stormed the cockpit door on American Airlines flight 1561 this past weekend? Or the shoebomber or the Christmas crotchbomber etc.
Does this law prevent TSA from actually performing full checks on potential passengers which fit the profile of a terrorist?
retire05 commented:
befuddled, is there something about “the right of the people to be secure in their persons” and “against unreasonable searches” that you cannot comprehend? Now, what federal law permits for those Constitutional requirements to be violated because when the TSA is groping your “junk” for no other reason than to restrict your right to freedom of movement, that is exactly what they are doing. So give me the law. Name it. Name the law that supercedes the limits in the 4th Amendment.
As a matter of fact, tell me where the federal government has any right to install security personell in an airport that is generally owned by the municipality where it is located for people to fly on an airplane that is privately owned?
wtd, and what profile of a terrorist does a 8 month old, blond haired blue eyed baby meet?
Valerie commented:
“and what profile of a terrorist does a 8 month old, blond haired blue eyed baby meet?”
The same profile as other innocents used by hirabists to appear as faked “suicide bombers” in Iraq. Those included 1) people who thought they were only making a delivery; 2) people whose families had been held hostage, and whose hands were cuffed to the wheel of a vehicle; 3) mentally retarded teenagers; 4) animals. And we should not forget the pregnant girlfriend of the Lockerbie bomber.
The TSA’s actions are really distasteful, to me.
Islamist terrorists in Iraq killed a child, and then booby-trapped its body in an effort to get the parents.
The sheer, unholy savagery of Al-Qaeda was a factor in their defeat in Iraq, for other Iraqis concluded that Al-Qaeda was “not Muslim.” Al-Qaeda-in-Iraq was simply one example of the extraordinary viciousness of the Muslim Brotherhood death cult. If they do this to other Muslims, what do you think they would do to an Infidel child?
I think it’s definitely time we re-thought our security, but not because an innocent child doesn’t fit the profile.
Jim commented:
Even if this holds, and it won’t, the end result will be the mandatory use of the nude-o-tubes and no opt out option involving a pat down. Besides privacy issues, I have a problem with the devices in use at several Texas airports that emit ionizing radiation (the nude-o-tubes with a blue ‘box’ on each side, the cylinder type devices are different) and routinely opt out. This law would lead TSA to stop the opt out option.
Granny Smith commented:

In case you have not been informed, TSA is not allowed to profile
This is the specific reason that they body search 8 month old babies, “search” children (and teens/women) about whom they have absolutely NO suspicions in such a way that would constitute sexual abuse in any other situation and harass the elderly who obviously cannot even remove their own shoes.
Yes, we do need to “rethink” our security . . .

Children are inappropriately fondled, but criminals, terrorists and illegals are given more and more rights.
Are parents that neutered that there is no mass outrage?

It is pathetic that this law has to even be passed.
Considering Obama is actually a muslim and pedophilia is allowed in Islam, is it any wonder this disgusting touching of private parts is forced upon the population. A muslim man isn’t suppose to have intercourse with a girl until she is nine years old, but everything else is on the table from birth onward.

Perhaps instead of ‘profile’ the term ‘probable cause’ should apply to clarify. What probable cause did this infant present? A sane approach to security would consider many factors (call it profiling or presenting ‘probable cause’)beyond the ineffective ‘short straw’ or indescriminate ‘lottery’ method currently in play.

Sigh. True, beyond belief. Conjugal visits for GITMO detainees?
MamaGrizzly commented:
This is Soros-Nazi, Jenkins-pedophile, Obama-Narcissist crap. It’s theater. You are not more safe because explosives can be hidden inside the body through surgical implantation. A small amount of liquid is all it takes. This is to desensitize the people toward government excess and to desensitize the “civil army” to violate boundaries. They also are developing a database based on fingerprints and retinal scans obtained by the scanners. The US is not Iraq, so profiling can work. You have a natural baseline to work from. But seriously, terrorists can hide stuff if they want to regardless of the scanners and pat-downs.

Jimmy when was the TSA started? Was it January 20th 2009?

Texas is my home in a mere two weeks – YAY!!!! Yet another reason to be happy to move there. I’m glad I’m moving before the secession.
mike-in-nevada commented:
I agree with the Texas bill. Being “politically correct” stuff has gone too far in that “profiling”, the best identifier of possible terrorists, is soooo offensive. The TSA and Janet Napolitano would rather offend millions of fliers rather than possibly offend those few who are most likely to be terrorists. Now, having said that, I would agree to be patted down every time I fly if Napolitano and the TSA big shots would agree to be patted down every time THEY fly. See how they like it.
Iconoclast commented:
Ya know, should Texas secede, or just opt to be an independent jurisdiction affiliated with the US, WTF would have one hell of a time stopping them. This isn’t a North-South thing, but far more fundamental. And there are plenty of folks in other states who would gladly join them – or act as guerrillas behind the lines if it came to that. A lot more than 3% this time.
John Ross’ Unintended Consequences (1996, ISBN 978-1888118049) is over the top & clearly fictional, but simultaneously it certainly does reflect the views of many folks in varying degrees.
Mike commented:
Folks, again, this is is just political theater.
The TSA will easily get around this — without even a lawsuit:
“Individuals are FREE to choose NOT to travel by commercial airliner. When they purchase a ticket to travel by commercial airliner, they are implicitly waiving their 4th Amendment rights against search and seizure.” In other words, by flying, you’re “volunteering” to get probed.
I hate to say it, but the way our courts do jurisprudence nowadays, that would be an easy sell for dismissal of charges.
That, of course, assumes that Napolitano will take this law seriously and not simply fart in the general direction of the Texas Legislature (which is probably what she will do). Obama thinks nothing about ignoring court rulings, so why should Napolitano care one whit for a law that I guarantee Texas will NEVER even attempt to enforce?
Call me when the Texas Rangers are on TV, finger-printing the first suspect. Until then, this is just red-meat for the base, nothing more.
Omilu commented:
Hate to rain on your parade, but the TSA was not created by the Obama administration. It was created in 2001.
When someone gets a bomb onboard a plane, using a child, you’ll all be howling that it was TSA’s fault for not checking.
You’ve got to be delusional if you think TSA screeners “enjoy” their work.
Omilu commented:
You guys talking about secession are hilarious. Texas wouldn’t have an economy if it were’t for interstate commerce.
Radegunda commented:
Omilu, do you read or think about anything, or just spout talking points that have already been refuted? Obama has been overseeing the TSA for more than two years, and the aggressive fondling procedures didn’t start until after he took office. And while they’re groping blond toddlers, they’re waving through the Muslims and then try to storm cockpits. The Obama administration refuses even to admit that terrorism has anything whatsoever to do with Islam.
But by your reasoning, we can agree that Obama doesn’t deserve the slightest credit for getting Bin Laden, because after all the Navy Seals and the CIA have existed for a long time.
And where did you get the bizarre notion that Texas could not trade with anyone else as a separate country? Do you not realize how stupid that sounds? There are countries much smaller than Texas that manage to survive just fine.
Fisher1949 commented:
God bless Rep Simpson and the Great State of Texas. Finally some principled and decent legislators are taking action to rein in this abusive and misguided agency.
Pistole says they conduct very few pat downs. Very few? According to TSA, they conduct over 50,000 pat downs per day, the equivalent of the entire population of Ames, Iowa.
There have been 21 screeners arrested in five months for job related crimes, including drug trafficking, theft, raping a 14 year old and two weeks ago for distributing child porn. Now they get to grope small children and babies and its legal.
Twenty one criminal acts, eighteen security failures, 4,000+ groping complaints and dozens of lawsuits, all in five months, but TSA hasn’t stopped one incident in nine years. Fortunately some people and lawmakers are beginning to realize that they are being misled by TSA’s paranoia.
Anyone who believes that the behavior of this bloated and self-serving agency is making flying safe is clearly ignoring the facts. How many failures, crimes and abuses must this agency commit before Congress demands their reform?
