Pakistani Opposition Leader: Bin Laden Killing 'Second Biggest' National Tragedy

Pakistani opposition leader Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan told reporters the killing of Osama Bin Laden was “the second biggest national tragedy” since the fall of East Pakistan in 1971.

Pakistani opposition leader Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan reacted to the killing of Osama bin Laden by American special forces by declaring the act a national tragedy and demanding the resignation of many of Pakistan’s top leaders.
“This is the biggest tragedy in the history of Pakistan after the fall of East Pakistan in 1971 (now Bangladesh),” he said. “heads should roll. Those who breached the sovereignty of the country by the US intrusion in the country, including the president, prime minister, minister of defence and minister of interior should immediately resign,” he told reporters in front of national parliament in Islamabad on Friday.
Much of Pakistan’s mood can be described as deeply shocked by the 2 May raid on bin Laden’s compound by an American Navy SEAL team in the upscale town of Abbotabad. The operation was reputedly carried out without the knowledge of Pakistani authorities because of the suspicion by Washington that they could tip off the Al-Qaeda leader.
Mass demonstrations in Pakistan were called for Friday to protest the killing of bin Laden, while the country’s biggest Islamist political party, Jamaat-e-Islami, called for protests s against what it said was a violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty by the US raid.

I mean, the flood that killed 1,500 earlier this year and left millions homeless, or that earthquake that killed 85,000 back in 2005, or that earthquake that killed 60,000 back in 1935, or the million which were left homeless after the 1950 floods, or that 1970 Cyclone cycle which resulted in roughly 500,000 deaths (as well as the riots which caused that civil war and fall of EastPakistan)… well, all those things were bad, but this horrible, horrible tragedy stands the chance of saving lives and who would want that?
Personally, I think it shows how heartless we American really are. I mean, how can anyone in their right mind not feel horrible for the poor Pakistani people who might be forced to live now…

Imagine if Germany, today, F*&^ING LAMENTED that they had to stop killing Jews in the 40′s? That the German government publicly admitted that the end of the Holocaust, the Shoah, was the nation’s GREATEST TRAGEDY.

The greatest national tragedy bar none, was PARTITION. Islamists DEMANDING to carve out a Muslim ONLY region of India – creating terrible human suffering and deaths as families fled to one side of the border or to the other and a permanent state of antagonism that often breaks out in open warfare between Pakistan and India.
The goal was to create a great arch of Islam across northern India thru Kashmir connecting West Pakistan to East Pakistan. What they got was a stagnant, oppressive society that falls further behind India every year, yet they seek to agitate the Indian Muslims who live better as Indian citizens to disrupt India.

However, the sad truth is that the West is not giving them aid. They are bribing them to be their kind-of friend rather than Russia’s kind-of friend. And the West will continue doing that, which is why they happily harboured bin Laden.
