Judicial Watch Files FOIA Request Seeking Bin Laden Photos & Video

Obama won’t allow Americans to view a photo of a dead terrorist.

You can’t handle it.

Judicial Watch filed a FOIA request yesterday seeking the Bin Laden raid photos and video. The Defense Department has 20 days to legally respond.
The Central Daily reported:

Judicial Watch, the public interest group that investigates and prosecutes government corruption, announced it filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request with the Department of Defense (DOD) seeking all photographs and/or video recordings of Osama (Usama) bin Laden taken during and/or after the U.S. military operation in Pakistan on or about May 1, 2011. The request to the Defense Department was filed yesterday, May 3. An identical request was filed today with the CIA.

Under the Freedom of Information Act, the agencies have 20 business days legally to respond.

President Obama’s decision not to release the bin Laden photos is at odds with his promises to make his administration the most transparent in history. Judicial Watch hopes its FOIA requests will provide a mechanism to release these records in an orderly fashion in compliance with the FOIA law.

I fear for our poor troops over there in Afghanistan when these are released. These pictures will be used to incite the radicals like nothing else can. I say leave them in the can until AFTER our boys and girls leave the area.

It seems to me that there is another side to this. We honor and praise our Seals that raided the compound and killed OBL. An incredible feat of skill, honor and bravery that only the BEST of us could pull off. But then we are not willing to take their word for it?

Asked why they had not checked out a building so close a major military facility the ISI said that the compound had actually been raided when the house was under construction in 2003 when the authorities believed an Al Qaeda operative Abu Faraj Al Libbi was there. On that occasion he escaped.

From 2002 to 2005, said Abu Faraj al-Libbi, was al Qaeda’s No. 3 man. He is now a resident of Club Gitmo.

I’m willing to take the word of a SEAL, but we haven’t actually had a debriefing from a SEAL have we? Instead, we’ve gotten peculiar statements of “White House tells SEALS to be quiet.” and “WHite House tells SEALS to stay humble.” as Obama laps the WH with his fists pumped, “Hey everybody!! I-I-I-I-I did it!!!”

I would LOVE to hear what the SEALS have to say about what happened or DIDN’T happen. They were sent in primarily on the Intel collected and analyzed by the CIA, which last we all had a run-in with were ADVISING President Bush it was a “SLAM-DUNK,” before unleashing the odious poseur Valerie Plame and her mint-tea-swigging hubby on him.

The CIA was ALSO quite recently declaring that obviously doctored tapes of Osama Bin Laden chiding everyone about global warming, TARP and the healthcare bill, straight off the DNC talking points faxes were LEGIT. We all noticed too that an irate Bin Laden didn’t surface in any measure to denounce this blatent hijacking of his “brand.” Just not there, after years of not there.

Yeah, the SEALS have a story to tell…

It’s important to us to know, for a fact, that a person is dead, because death is still a mystery to us after all these millennia.

Panetta reported back to the president that a bombing of the compound would result in successful killing of Osama Bin Laden, and little risk to American lives. But once again, Jarrett intervened, convincing the president that innocent Pakistani lives could be lost in such a bombing attack, and Obama would be left attempting to explain Panetta’s failed policy. Again Obama hesitated – this time openly delaying further meetings to discuss the issue with Panetta. A brief meeting was held at this time with other officials, including Secretary Gates and members of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, but Gates, like Panetta, was unable to push the president to act. It was at this time that Gates indicated to certain Pentagon officials that he may resign earlier than originally indicated – he was that frustrated. Both Panetta and Clinton convinced him to stay on and see the operation through.]

As long as Obama goes on with this (will he won’t he) release Osama’s picture he doesn’t have to talk about news like Unemployment is the highest in 8 months. Frankly I don’t care whether the pictures are released or not — you see one dead body you’ve seen em all. I do care however, that the American people and our problems are fading into the distance as more and more everything is about Obama.
