Stick a fork in it.

Justice David Prosser was declared the winner today over nutty liberal JoAnne Kloppenburg in the Wisconsin Supreme Court race. She lost by 7,004 votes.
He will serve a 10 year term.

Kloppenburg led the race by 204 votes after the first count.
She said it would stick.

Guess not, huh?

It’s time for the smelly unhinged liberals to roll up their sleeping mats and head to the showers.
This race is over.

  1. This is just a wee peek of things to come in 2012.

America is not a socialist country.

    Powder is dry

  2. I live in Wisconsin, and trust me, Kloppenburg is a nut.

  3. It’s time for the smelly unhinged liberals to roll up their sleeping mats and go home to their welfare checks.

    And perhaps WASH THEIR FEET!

  4. Veruca Salt Kloppenburg: But I want to be a judge daddy. I want to be a judge now!

  5. BOOM!!!! WINNING!!!

  6. Kloppenburg is making noises that she is going to court to contest the election results. One problem…she will have to pay for it herself. Up until this point she has been spending Wisconsin taxpayers’ money.

  7. If Kloppenburg had to PAY for the recount out of HER pocket, it wouldn’t have been done.

As long as she can raid the taxpayers to pay for her cynical political manuvering, she’ll keep at it.

The bratty Democrats not only overspend in EVERY position of responsibility they get from dog catcher to school boards to legislatures to executive positions, they also do everything they can to run up expenses outside those authorities.
    Democrats=Bankrupcy, financial and moral.

  8. Oops. CHisum beat me to it, no need for me to comment.

  9. Wanumba,

Excellent point. Democrats are indeed profligate spenders of other peoples money.

  10. It might not be over yet. Kloppenberg might still persuade the unions to fund the kamikazi for one last flaming dive.

  11. Thankfully Prosser had enough votes to avoid a “recount”.

  12. Time for her to pick up her broomstick and go home.

  13. This is just the first steps. The loony left will continue the “She won” just like the Gore/Bush nonsense. Liberals can not stand to lose, they are stomping theri, truning blue and no doubt crying about the injustice (even though they have no idea what injustice is).

This would be excellent news! The unions would drain their 2012 campaign funds on a losing recount effort…

  15. Nice to win one of these for a change.

Congrats to the WI taxpayers. They are the real winners.

  16. It ain’t over until Moochelle sings.

Next move will be the Kloppenburg lawsuit paid for by deep union and lefty pockets. Once that happens, it’s not likely Prosser will be seated on August 1. Why is that important, you ask? Well, right now, a lefty hack of a judge in Dane County has the budget repair bill on hold. The lefty appellate court will no doubt uphold her ruling, sending it to the state Supreme Court, which, without Prosser, will split 3-3 and the lower court ruling would stand.

This would force the Legislature to introduce the bill again or include it in the state budget and thus reinvigorate all the nutjob protesters to come to the state Capitol to “show us what democracy looks like.” This would coincide nicely with some of the recall elections as well as the recall election next spring of Scott Walker (most likely a rematch of Walker vs. Tom Barrett).

Other possibility, albeit slim, would be to have a court throw out the contested votes and then who know where we’d be.

  17. I am sure there are some votes in someone’s trunk or backseat of a car, that will suddenly appear.

  18. Kloppenburg can get back to her 100 or so cats.

  19. now let’s gird our loins for the NY-26 recounts…

  20. Wow!

Great Win for Wisconsin, Gov Scott Walker, and Sarah Palin (who endorsed Prosser all the way)!

  21. Wisconsin Law Journal Article

Unfortunately, she still has until May 31, to contest the election results in court.

  22. The sad truth is how many really poor excuses for human beings voted for her.

    …………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

They might not, if they want the money to give us 4 more years of bloat and gloat.

  24. I think that part of what is driving her (#2 Gus, that she’s a nut is self evident) is that she was assured by the unions that the fix was in. That is the ONLY reason why I think that she’d declare herself the winner with only 204 votes lead and, being not terribly bright, it takes her awhile to adjust to the fact that she lost.

  25. I don’t think Kloppenburg is so much the driving force as the unions are pushing for her to be a supreme court justice. Obviously she is dumb as a rock, The unions have already bought and paid for her – she can’t quit.

  26. But, but, but, the AP said she had won!!!
Let the lefty unions pay for her legal eexpenses.

  27. I’m glad that’s over. Now Kloppenberg can get back to that uppity Dorothy.

  28. I, for one, am going to miss her scintillating breathy voice as she holds her head so high when uttering nothing but liberal, high-minded blather with the utmost of confidence. Can’t we have just one more press conference please?

  29. Not too fast – remember the Franken cheat! This bug-eyed loon just may find some votes. At least she said WE and not I.

  30. If she doesn’t take it to court and this really is the end of her bid for the seat, she will be discarded as a no longer useful tool by the left, the same way as Sheehan.

  31. As several have mentioned, you don’t want to get Franken’d. To remind everyone, Franken lost on election night, but the Dems demanded a recount. Within hours, boxes of ballots started appearing, from people’s trunks and basements. Some were back-dated. Some were double-counted. 28 precincts had more votes than registered voters. Acorn had registered many voters who didn’t exist. As soon as Franken pulled ahead, the Dem Secretary of State declared Franken the winner. The Republican was forced to pay for Franken’s legal costs. The Republicans basically threw up their hands and said, oh, well, maybe next time. The media dropped the story like a hot potato. To top it off, in the next election the Dem SoS bragged about the Franken recount; no one challenged his story, and he was re-elected.

  32. We already did the recount…the vote has been certified. The only way Kloppenburg can win is if she can get a court to throw out thousands of votes. That is extremely unlikely (note I did not say impossible). However, as a poster above said…they can delay Prosser’s swearing in long enough to get the Budget Repair Bill (the bill that started all of this) overturned by the courts.

Our only hope is that the unions decide they need to save their money to make sure a Democrat retains Herb Kohls Senate seat. I admit it’s a slim hope.

  33. It was easy for the Dems to find a Wisconsin judge to order a halt to the implentation of the union reform law. It will be just as easy to find a judge willing to throw out the election results, or to try to sabotage Prosser from taking his place on the bench.

  34. “smelly unhinged liberals”

    ROFL

  35. It’s worse than you think. Any election appeal would not be heard by a sitting court, but by a judge appointed by the current SCOW CJ – a diehard leftist Democrat. If they rule against Prosser, he would have to appeal to SCOW, deadlocked 3-3 without him, leaving the lower court ruling to stand, seating Kloppenburg.

It’s pretty much the same plan as The Underground Conservative outlined in post #16 above for the budget bill process, except this way the Democrats get the SCOW seat and majority as well as overturn the Walker budget.

Maybe I’m just paranoid. Maybe we can trust them to do the right and honest thing this time.

  36. actually I heard on the local Milwaukee news last nite that she has 5 days to contest the results and they said her camp was still mulling over what to do…un-freakin believable

  37. Why do I get the feeling she’ll tweet her concession speech?

  38. Hmmm. She should have SUED and demanded that Republican votes only count as HALF. Surely some leftist judge in Wisconsin would have granted it!!!
