Iranian Spiritual Leader: It’s OK to Kill Israeli Children

A leading Iranian Ayatollah issued a religious edict on his website declaring suicide attacks as not just legitimate but a must for every Muslim. He also said it was OK to kill Jewish children.
YNet News reported, via Lucianne:
A senior Iranian cleric, who is known as President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s spiritual mentor, urged followers to continue suicide attacks against Israelis, including children.
Ayatollah Mohammad Taghi Mesbah, considered one of the Islamic Republic’s most radical clerics, issued a religious edict on his website whereby suicide attacks are not only legitimate but are a must for every Muslim.
The senior cleric was responding to a question from a follower regarding the difference between “martyr’s death” and “suicide.” The man, who wrote anonymously, noted that “some people say that martyrdom acts are considered suicide and are forbidden as they contradict Islam.”
n response, Mesbah expressed his regret that his follower has fallen victim to “propaganda by Islam’s enemies.” He added that the follower was wasting his time instead of focusing on “uprooting the Zionist regime.”
“When defending Islam and the nation of Muslim believers via martyrdom acts, this (suicide attacks) is not only permitted, it’s a duty,” Mesbah wrote.
The follower presented another question regarding Islam’s position on harming Israelis, wondering whether “Hamas and Jihad actions against civilians are forbidden. He also asked: “What about children killed in these attacks?”
The Iranian Ayatollah did not see fit to forbid the killing of children, only noting that Israelis can be harmed unless they openly express their objection to their government’s position. He added that even in such cases, harming civilians is permissible “if they constitute a human shield or when the war against the oppressors hinges on attacking these civilians.”

Thanks to Obama and his cabal of anti-Israeli, pro-Islam, left-wing ideologues displaying American weakness and disdain for Israel for all to see, Muslims around the world smell blood and are waiting only for some Mahdi-esque figure to be whipped up into a bloodthirsty frenzy. They know Obama, Samantha Powers, et al are stepping aside to leave Israel all alone to protect itself.
Comments like that from the Ayatollah are prelude to the attack on Israel, Europe, and elsewhere. I suspect that one of the elements that will affect their decision to attack Israel will be whether Obama is re-elected in 2012. Should that happen, the Muslim world knows that they will see Obama and his unholy cabal spend the next four years undermining Israel and increasing their vulnerability all in the effort to set up the field for a Islamic war against Israel.
The 2012 election will likely determine the fate of Israel and the world.
Obama will likely have fulfilled the primary goals of the unholy alliance between the Left and Islam-Sending the West into a death spiral. It is no suprise as Obama himself is the incarnate expression of the hatred of the Left and Islam.

I wonder if there are any muslims anywhere who have a clue about how translating the Arabic term “shaheed” as “martyr” is deeply insulting to Christians.
The term “martyr” comes from the name of Justin Martyr, and refers to a person who is executed by other people for the “crime” of making their christian beliefs known. It is not used for a person who raises a hand in violence against another. Even when we speak of our fallen soldiers, we use the term “hero” but not “martyr.”
Of course, much of the problem results from the extraordinary ignorance of the western press corps when it comes to religion or history.

The first step to to make sure those Western political leaders know about this. This guy is endorsing war crimes, or hirabah, and, his position is totally consistent with the Hamas Covenant. The FIRST step is for reporters in our own country to ask our own politicians if they are aware of what this “religious” leader says, and whether they have read the Hamas Covenant.
We know that Lindsey Graham knows what’s in the Hamas Covenant. Does the President? Does the Attorney General? How about the Secretary of State? The Ambassador to the UN (not her aide, the Ambassador herself). The Director of Homeland Security?
Of all those I’ve listed, I would be surprised if any but the Secretary of State have any idea at all about what’s in the Hamas Covenant.

I don’t think they give a damn. Israel has become inconvenient to our esteemed progressive elite, as has our Constitution. None of these boneheads realizes Israel is irrelevant to the muslim revolution. The revolution is all important, its goals are ancillary and mostly unattainable.
