Governor Perry Declines to Be Obama’s Prop for El Paso Stump Speech

Governor Rick Perry declined an invitation to greet Obama in El Paso today for his speech on amnesty.
Last week the Governor Perry blasted the Obama Administration for neglecting the wildfires in Texas.

The Politico reported:
Rick Perry has declined the White House’s request that he greet President Obama when Air Force One lands in Texas on Tuesday, the Republican governor’s office says.
“We did try to arrange something with the White House,” Lucy Nashed, a spokeswoman for Perry, told POLITICO. “They asked us if we wanted to meet him out on the tarmac in El Paso, but we weren’t able to work anything out, based on the fact that it’s probably going to be a 10-minute greeting.”
Perry, who met Obama at the airport when the president traveled to Austin in August, accused the administration two weeks ago of denying aid to his state to help recover from wildfires.
Other Republican governors, like Rick Scott and Mitch Daniels, recently greeted Obama when he visited their states.

Good for Governor Perry! The last thing we need is governors adding color of legitimacy and approval to Obama’s open borders efforts. Obama should stay in Washington, DC, since HE is not contributing a single dime to his campaign efforts.

Why should Governor Perry be a visual prop for THE WON’s propaganda efforts? THE WON has refused to declare Texas a disaster area even though every county in the state had massive grassfires ongoing at the same time. This is payback to a past President who lives in Texas and payback for the state’s opposition to ObamaCare.
THE WON is the most petty individual to occupy the White House. Even Carter was more realistic while in office (after rejection in 1980, he turned into the creature he is now).

You’ve got to hand it to our tone deaf president. He won’t go into the heart of the devastation in Texas where more than two million acres has burned. Nope. Instead, like dipping your big toe into very hot bath water, he goes to the far west corner of Texas on the international border of the most violent city in the world, Ciudad Juarez.
He’s oblivious to the war being conducted on our border and the devastation it in wreaking. He ignores the danger to this country posed by the drug cartels and mass immigration. He ignores the fact that Juarez went from a thriving city to a ghost town with the highest murder rate in the world in a matter of a year.
Is he going to Texas to explain why he refused FEMA funds to them? Is he going to Texas to talk about jobs? Is he going to Texas to talk about the violence spilling over into Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California from Mexico? Issues that concern ALL Americans.
No. He’s dipping his big toe into the very edge of Texas to pander to one group and one group only…illegal aliens.

The best case is that you are a prop in the All Praise The One show. Worst case, he’ll attack you and your ideas right to your face without a chance to respond (a-la-Paul Ryan).
Keep an eye out for Perry. He could be a contender for the Republican nominee.

Obama is NOT coming to Texas to view our burned out 2+ million acres, or to say he’s sorry for giving the space shuttle to New York (instead of the Johnson Space Center) or to talk to the 25,000 Texans that have lost their jobs since he shut down the drilling in the Gulf, or even to see the bullet holes in the El Paso City Hall from shots fired across the border that he, and that idiot, Janet Napolitano, tell us is safer than ever.

What else do you want him to do? Sit on the border himself with a pair of spy glasses? Or haven’t you noticed how Eric Holder is treating Arizona?

Texans never did expect any help from this President on the wildfire catastrophe.
As a matter of fact, Texans don’t expect anything from this President.
