Texas Governor Rick Perry released this statement today on Barack Obama’s pro-Hamas Mideast policy:

“President Obama’s speech today continues a misguided policy of alienating our traditional allies, in this case Israel, one of our strongest partners in the war on terror. As someone who has visited Israel numerous times, I know that it is impracticable to revert to the 1967 lines. President Obama is asking our Israeli friends to give up too much security and territory as a prelude to a renewed peace process.”

  1. Rick Perry is a RINO, who cares what he has to say!

  2. barry soetoro made a big mistake when he made an enemy of Texas Governor Perry. Perry will be in his face at every opportunity until lil’ barry is voted out of office. I, for one, would be very excited by a Perry candidacy for 2012.

  3. Obama has placed an obese thumb on the scales, in favor of Israel-obliteration. It’s a transparent attempt to damage Israel’s self-defense capabilities.

Demanding that Israel give up Jerusalem and retreat to the 1967 borders is nothing short of making any effort by Israel’s neighbors to wipe Israel off the map more likely to do so than the joint Syrian-Egyptian aggression of 1967.

  4. Every time this starts up, some major concession is demanded of Israel, with nothing from the Palestinians. No mention of ongoing rocket attacks, hateful grade-school indoctrination, the very charter of Hamas calling for the destruction of Israel, etc.

  5. After some 24 hours of hesitation, checking which way the political wind shifts, Perry comes up with a milquetoast statement. Rep. LTC Allen West, demonstrating true leadership without hesitation, in unequivacle terms condemned Obama’s statement.

  6. Looks and sounds like Rick Perry is building up for a run for the White House. Good thing is, even if he’s not selected by the GOP Regime, He can come back to Govern Texas and wait ’til next time.

As for the temp currently giving out what’s left of America to his cronies, assorted terrorists (foreign and domestic), and the rest of the raging loons on the Left, Bibi served in the IDF (unlike certain Puppet Presidents) AND lost his brother to Muslims.

What do you think he’d say to the pencil-necked golfer who’s playing President?

  7. “President Obama is asking our Israeli friends to give up too much security and territory as a prelude to a renewed peace process.”

A peace process that has been a joke since 1948. A peace process that provides photo ops to American presidents and taqiyya to Israel’s enemies.

If Israel’s enemies thought they could wipe it out there would be no ‘peace process’ in the world that would stop them.

  8. Also note that, by timing his dictates the day before meeting with Netanyahu, Obama sets the scene to blame Israel for the failure of the coming “peace talks.”

  9. Rick Perry is the Republicans’ best hope to replace Obama in 2012. The state under his stewardship is prospering, to the point California legislators made a trip there to find out why so many California businesses have move to Texas. They could have saved themselves the plane fare. The answer: a business friendly atmosphere.

This speech is Perry’s pushback for Obama’s interference with Texas’s prosperity, namely his strangulation of oil production. Obama’s failure to grant disaster area status to Texas for the wildfires didn’t help either. I am hopeful this speech is Rick Perry’s initial efforts to get on the national stage.

    Good luck, Rick.

  10. Haven’t you heard it’s not Soetoro….now its Harrison Bounel they found another identity. visit this link its unreal:

  11. Perry will let the current healthy business climate evolve into Mexico though nonetheless. He supports Dream Act and comprehensive amnesty. Sara Palin,Cain or Bachmann is a far wiser choice than Perry.

  12. wtd, too bad you don’t know what you are talking about. What would you have Perry say? He is a state governor, but at least one with the cajones to discuss the failures of a man who is POTUS, which includes Texas.

I know there is a lot of jabber about Rick getting in the race. Fine, jabber about. But why did Rick let his two BEST campaign managers go to work for Newt, if he is eyeing the Oval Office? Hell, I read one report that Rick must be running because he gave a speech to a Republican group in [gasp] DALLAS.

Oh, and Allen West is a FEDERAL Congressman. One that has to vote on the money we give in foreign aid. But you seem to think that a STATE official has more clout and should be more vocal.

Do people like you ever have a logical thought in your head?

  13. noislamcommie, give us a link where Perry has voiced his support for the Dream Act.

  14. “President Obama is asking our Israeli friends to give up too much security and territory as a prelude to a renewed peace process.”

Too much Rick? Israel shouldn’t have to give up a damn thing to these Mohammedan freaks. Get yourself a clue about Islam, or a spine.

  15. Obama’s approval rating in Israel falls to 4%, an all time low.

  16. Note that the UN will vote in September to recognize “Palestine” as a state. This move by the dictator sets at least two positions for the U.S. One, that we will join in the vote, and two, that the borders will be as stated.

The “Palestinians” have not made a single concession, nor been asked to.

I notice when a conservative story is posted the first post is usually a none regular leftist.

Perry used to be pro imigration reform till he became Govenor and saw the destruction open boarders cause.

Yet another capable candidate in the running. powder is dry.

  18. Proud Texan here, and Governor Perry has been good for my beloved state. However, I think that in order for him to be a serious contender for president he is going to have to fight the “another Bush” meme that will surely follow from the left. He would have to hit Obama on every issue and every blunder in a presidential debate and get him to stumble all over himself. Now given the current state of the press and their unrequited love for Obama that’s not going to happen, the moderator wouldn’t allow it. However, with the right tact and due diligence Governor Perry could do it. He just needs to watch what he says every now and then.

  19. I hope Perry runs ,we sure could use someone like him…………

  20. Personally, I think a Perry/West Ticket could be very formidable. But don’t be surprised when the labels Bush and figurehead or house****** ooze out from the talking heads on the left. Their as predictable and as vicious as fireants in the spring in texas.

No, he’s not. Perry is a very laid back guy but a dead shot with a gun..

  22. Watch for Reuter’s to report: Governor Rick Perry: US “does not understand reality.”

  23. Two negatives on Rick Perry:

    1. The governor of Texas has no power; the legislative branch has most of the power.
Therefore, if the economy is growing, etc. the credit does not belong to him.

    2. Have you ever heard him speak? He sounds like an evangelist preacher.

  24. Positive on Rick Perry: he’s a long-time, well-liked governor of a state that trains its governors.

    Yeah. Train. Their. Governors.

  25. As a Texan, I’m glad Perry made the statement for Israel.

As a political observer, I’d say this is pretty definitive – Perry looks like he is running for President in Election 1012.

  26. Some of you apparently do not know the very longstanding and very very deep alliances between Texas and Israel on a very wide range of various venues. Most Texans know our STATE has a DEEP SISTERHOOD Commitment with Israel, that is Spirit of Liberty, Tourism, and Nature of Country-side. We consider the Spirit of Texas Fight for Independence to have kinship with Israel in such things as David and Goliath/the Alamo, and we feel it strongly.

Many Texans have worked long and hard to help Israel in many various ways, both because of the spiritual Judeao/Christian values and goals, and a very wide commercial enterprise system, and a strong respect for Liberty of a God-fearing Republic style of Govt.

I run into some Texans who don’t know much about it, but I have been favored to find myself repeatedly dropped amongst a wide range and type of Israeli-supporting Texas groups, all my entire life. Long before the World heard of John Hagee.

I never knew anything about the relationship between Israel and Texas. Thank you so much for sharing this with us. I am excited about the possibility of Rick Perry running for President.

  28. Israel has already given up too much territory. They have been asked (all right, told) to give up a little bit here and a little bit there until they have very little and at all which is the whole object of Israel’s enemies which include not only obama but the UN. It ma,ters not how much land they give up, they will be asked to give up more. If Israel should comply, in a year or so obamb would demand they go back to the 1948 boundaries and after that give up the rest of the land entirely.

  29. #27 Yet another reason for obama to hate Texas. As if he needed another.
