East Coast fishermen say the new Obama job-killing regulations are killing the industry.

Fishermen on New Hampshire’s Seacoast are warning that new fishing regulations could destroy their industry and have already caused them severe emotional stress.
The U.S. Department of Commerce has sent a team to Seabrook to look at the effects of the new regulations.
“If they don’t do something to modify the fishing regulations, we won’t have a fishing industry on the Seacoast, is what it boils down to,” said Hampton Town Manager Fred Welch.
Many in the fishing industry said they want the federal team to do more than its stated task of creating an economic development assessment report. The team is spending three days in Seabrook and visiting five other New England fishing towns…
…“One of the fishermen from Rye had said that there had been three suicide attempts and a half dozen divorces during this first year of catch-shares,” said Bob Campbell of the Yankee Fisherman’s Cooperative. “Commercial fishermen are usually pretty tight-lipped, and for something this serious to come out, I mean, you know that the whole situation is grave.”
Campbell said the cooperative has lost about $750,000 in business since the new regulations went into effect.
“We’re off 1.1 million pounds of fish from last year, and over a million and a half pounds from the year before,” he said.

Oh, gee, Obama regulations are hurting their fishing. But wait, did they care when Obama’s lack of leadership was killing the fishing industry in Louisiana? No? That’s what I thought.
Meanwhile, today, while Obama was visiting Texas, the Texas Congress celebrated his visit by passing a law that allows the State Attorney General to haul into court the asses of those politicians in sanctuary cities that refuse to enforce state and federal immigration laws and passed a bill that makes sanctuary cities illegal in the State of Texas.
Maybe Obama would like to come down here again.

(playing by the rules, as we were brought up to do will get you killed nowadays) you see, most of the people who work in these departments are affirmative action cases… nobody of merit ever gets a high paying gov’t job.
If you’re white, change your first name to the spanish version. You’ll get approved for the aid. If your name is david or jack, you’ll be rejected based on a rule that doesn’t apply to you. Really? Despite being polluted by our unfortunate proximity to Massholia, this remains the most conservative state on the East Coast north of Virginia. Øshama didn’t take our electoral votes by much & was thoroughly repudiated in 2010.
Further, this process has been going on since the whole Federal Fisheries bureaucracy was created in 1976. The worst of what came previously was implemented in 1996 (thanks be to ankle-pants). This latest from Øshama is only & typically making a bad situation virtually impossible. The entire dim establishment is fine with destroying our domestic fishing industry while doing virtually nothing to protect our stocks from international harvesters.
